This experience has been one of the best we’ve had in Barcelona. The hotel room felt spacious and all staff members were exceptionally helpful. We are particularly impressed by Front Desk employee Luis and Gema. They were extremely supportive. They greatly aided us with transport and gave us local tips (such as good restaurants, how to take public transport etc.) Gema even personally helped us to arrange our luggage delivery to another hotel in a timely and efficient way. The luggage was closely monitored the whole process until it arrived in our hand. I would highly recommended this real 5 Star Hotel to everyone.

We arrived just after check-in time to find only two working at their reception desk. Each with guests and one ahead of us in line. We waited patiently for around 10 minutes as they slowly managed to complete the check in of one. In that time the line had grown with 8 more guests waiting behind me to check in as well. I was next to check in, or thought I was, but an additional check in person stepped up to another station to help. But instead of asking for the next one he just helped an impatient guest waiting off to the side instead, making me wait almost 20 minutes just to check in. And beyond just changing you for the room they take a deposit, which I never had happen to me before. I have had hotels put credit cards on file but not actual deposits on top of the room charge. After we got to the room, had a lovely view but the windows were very dirty and couldn’t even take good pictures from it. Then after getting back from going out and about we found the phone and tv were dead. So no room service available or entertainment in our room . I went down to the front desk and asked about it and they said the whole building was out and there was nothing they could do. After we went to bed we were awoken by a maintenance man at 12:30 at night asking to fix our tv. I told him we were sleeping. I was so upset they would even think to send someone at that time of night, when I didn’t even ask them to come, I could hardly sleep after that. I went to the front desk the next morning to ask them about resending the maintenance man back to the room while we were out but they explained the whole building phone and tv was still out. I then asked why they would send someone to fix our tv in the middle of the night. They had no explanation. As of our last night here still no tv, phone, or room service. They have no estimate on when it might come back. For what I thought was a higher end hotel their customer service is lacking and maintenance of their building sub-standard.

Absolutely no complaints about this hotel. Can't ask for better location on Las Ramblas. I requested an early check in since we were arriving early. (8 a.m.) The reception checked our luggage, gave us a map and directions to the Hop On/Hop Off bus and told us they would call when our room was ready. They gave us a call very close to noon. The hotel has a nice coffee shop with small bites in the lobby. Nice choices and wonderful coffee. The lobby is attractive with neutral colored decor. Doormen very helpful. Friday the lobby was very full all day. The hotel is popular with the cruise people leaving on Saturday cruises. Our room was large, clean, and adequately furnished although the decor is minimalist. Toilet and bathroom good size and water jets in shower powerful! Very nice in-room coffee selection. Comfortable beds and bedding. Hotel has popular restaurant judging from its occupancy. We had desserts and coffee there but no meal. The restaurant faces Las Ramblas, the entrance to the hotel is on a side street off Las Ramblas. The hotel is within walking distance of marinas and waterfront, and is also located just a few blocks from the famous La Boqueria Market.

My wife and I went for a very short trip to Barcelona and chose this hotel at random . What a great choice and a good bit of luck! Firstly it's location was perfect for us - right on Las Ramblas. Very central. We took the Aerobus from the airport which stopped at Plaça de Catalunya a short distance away from Las Ramblas and obviously our hotel We were welcomed by friendly staff and given a welcome drink. Our room was comfortable and clean and had free drinks in the mini bar; free coffee nespresso machine, a big bed and lots of pillows! There was a very good breakfast choice and you were made to feel like royalty by Max the breakfast waiter - who was always cheerful. The desk staff were very helpful with tips about local food, travelling , booking tickets... Fully a five star service. We will definitely go again to Barcelona and hopefully be able to stay again at this lovely diamond of a hotel.

Firstly, please let me thank you staff behind within the reception team as the staff I came across were a credit to your hotel. I had a booking with you for 7 nights from the 10th to 17th September stayed in room 701. Arrived on the Saturday evening at about 21.15hrs checked in, The gentleman behind reception who checked us in was great first thing he said was Mr & Mrs Barrett many congratulations to you both on celebrating your wedding anniversary, that along with the check in went really well and this made us feel special. Up to room Wow !! factor was really impressed however it was like a sauna No problems we can sort it tried to play around with the settings and struggled getting temp down, plus a few sockets in the room was not working. No letter wishing us congratulations Once we unpacked, we decided to have a look around and get our bearings. popped back to reception and mentioned about the Sockets next to bed not working in room and the temperature. the same gentleman said it's not a problem he can sort out the room temperature but sockets will have to wait till the morning, ok great thank you, can we please book the spa for Sunday around 5pm if its free, yes, he said no problems its book for us. that was it. Saturday night in the room was still very hot but we managed and by the morning it was nice and cool. Sunday afternoon there was someone different on so went to collect the key for the spa and towels off we went really excited as this was our anniversary day. Nothing in the spa was working apart from the pool with bubbles, the Steam room and Sauna was not on, went up to Reception asked the team they said it should be but I assured them nothing was on. we were asked to wait around 15 to 20 minutes which will give things time to warm up but we lost the experience by then. Once finished handed key back to Reception and asked if we could book a table in the restaurant tonight we were told this is closed and the bar is closed as well. But on the web site it says open !! so our plans were going side ways instead. I also mentioned again about sockets and was told we will be on it fiorst thing monday. Went up to room and ran the bath as going to have a jacuzzi, this didn't work reported this to the same person in reception, so we got dressed and went out for dinner. Monday going out said to the team we are out now so feel free to fix the sockets and Jacuzzi and will be back later on during the day. We got back quite late and visited a few sites within your city loads of photos, so by the time we got back didn't check nothing as we were really tired. Tuesday morning completely forgot to check to see if things were working as we had a very early start and a long day. came back late evening time and once again completely tired. Wednesday, I tried the sockets again and still not working so on my way out I mentioned to the team about these and i assumed the Jacuzzi would be the same. They were shocked and thought thes

Had a very good experience here. Not a bad walk from Barcelona-Sants, and the lobby is very chill, comfortable, and a great place to cool down. They have fresh water and candy for anybody rolling in. The concierge all spoke English, which was a huge help to me, and though I arrived two hours early, they got me a room immediately (albeit at a 10 euro extra cost). The room was quite nice and I had no noise issues whatsoever; surprising given how busy the main road was, but luckily I was not overlooking it. I wish it didn't cost extra to get the 'fast' internet - and there was a hiccup with neither concierge knowing how to switch from the regular to the fast after already signing up for the regular - but that was a tiny speedbump in the experience as a whole. Would certainly go back, and would recommend this place to anyone.

Visited here with my partner Checking in was quick and easy Originally we got a room without a bath, but wanted a bath so went to reception and paid for upgrade. Room came with tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary chocolates. Shower and was great Bed and pillows were comfortable Fantastic location ! Can't comment on the breakfast as didn't order any. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, Muchas Gracias!

Near Spanish square, so the location for New Years Eve is OK. Decent breakfast, clean room and bathroom. Mini bar is just small bottle of water, bed is not very comfy. Location is good but not for NY eve. No rooftop bar or access to roof. No view from rooms to Spanish square/fountain and hotel bar was closed for NY eve - midnight drinks. Just a dinner from 8 till 9Pm. We were lucky to find a spot in near by bar, but it's not easy wit no reservation. Fan in the room works like old engine, not possible to sleep when it's on. Opening window is a no go due to noise from the street and it's too warm in the room to sleep in December, I wonder how does it look in summer. TV doesn't work (statics) on upper floors and wi-fi is a joke - breaking connection each 2 minutes. It's just another hotel with no ”I would like to come back” feeling.

Generally, that would be plenty reason to recommend the hotel. Continue reading … If you stay here do NOT book the mini room. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel room in my life. I’ve stayed in NYC where rooms are known to be small, but this place took it to the next level. The bed was tiny and shoved up against a wall. If you’re staying with your partner, one of you will need to climb over the other. If you’ve got any kind of luggage, that’ll take the remaining floor space, literally. We found it almost impossible to open our luggage. Due to the rooms triangle shape everything about the room is simply awkward. You could barely turn around in the shower without hitting a wall. Walking into the bathroom alone was a challenge and I’m not a very large person at all. If you’re a larger person or needing room for a wheelchair or walker, this room isn’t for you. If you’re traveling as a couple, this room isn’t for you. This was booked through a travel agent so we didn’t know this was the room that was booked. I wish I had, but truth is even the pictures didn’t make this room look as uncomfortable as it was in real life. This isn’t where our discomfort ended. The ventilation system was pumping outdoor odor into the room. Add the fact the room is small, you can see how this quickly became an issue. I’m also not sure if they have some sort of toilet paper shortage, but we had to ask for TP twice. They never give you more than one and didn’t add any after tidying up the room even though it was obvious we’d need some with 2 nights left in our stay. Simply, we never looked forward to returning to our room. We never got a decent nights rest. This room shouldn’t be an option for anyone that’s not traveling alone. If you stay in one of the larger rooms you may have a different experience, but this was our experience and it was our only negative experience in Barcelona. The breakfast is ok. It’s convenient, but you can find better for about the same price. Location was fine. It didn’t seem unsafe to us. It’s right outside some of the major sites so expect to walk or take a cab.

I stayed at the Ofelias Hotel in November 2022. We travelled as a couple. Location: The hotel is situated perfectly near Placa de Espanya monument/roundabout. It opposite the road from the Arenas Barcelona Mall. The train station is 3minutes walk away. So in reflection this is a perfect location for food, drinks and public transport. For example. I visited the Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila and Casa Batlo. All approximately 15minutes maximum by Metro. Get a multi-day pass as its much easier and cheaper to get around. The area is a shopping and restaurant area. This means, at peak times, it can be noisy (people eating outside etc). But it is not impossible to sleep and did not cause a nuisance even when I left my balcony door open for air in the evening. Facilities: The hotel itself is very pretty. Beautifully designed as well as decorated. The decor has certainly got the wow factor both in the lobby and in the rooms. It is well maintained, the hotel is clean and my room was made daily. I did not check out breakfast (as I decided I wanted to eat at the local Cafe Tatela *which I recommend*) and I did not check out the roof pool. The hotel is boutique so doesn not have a gym. BUT if you really want a gym, there is a Synergym 2minutes walk around the corner. As a traveller, I got the 7 day pass and it was perfect! Staff/Check-in: Very friendly and helpful staff. They were able to help with all of my queries and accomodate requests as required. Thank you to you all. Room: The room was a lovely size, light, airy and perfect for luggage as well as general space. There is cupboard space for hanging clothes, a big TV The bathroom is seperated nicely if there was more than one person eg. sink outside, seperate shower and seperate toilet. This is great! The shower and ammenities provided were perfect! Food/restaurant: I did not have breakfast here. So cannot comment. Summary: I really enjoyed staying at the Ofelias. I would come back and stay here with no hesitation. Its a perfect mix of beauty, quirkiness, location and lovely hospitality. Things to be aware of: The bed was firm. Some may like this, but the first night was a little uncomfy. Got used to it in the end. The climate control is wierd. I reported twice that it was not coming on/working. But from what I understood from staff, it is synchronized with the hotel climate control. I was quite hot during the night as it would not come on. So had to open the window. So I am hoping in the summer this improves.

reading the reviews about the place being disturbed worried me a bit, but we got there from the metro (Poble Sec Ⓜ️) which is a 5minutes walk, they have complimentary detox water and it was refreshing, felt like we needed that after an 1 and half our of flight and another hour to get to the hotel. I can hear people talking from the street and possibly the other room but it didn’t bother me that much. The beds are comfortable, the room is spacious the staff are amazing, helpful and friendly breakfast is satisfying. only thing is that there’s no outlet near the bedside so we had to charge phones somewhere out of reach from your rest. overall it was an excellent stay and me and my boyfriend would surely stay here when we come back.
