Totally the hotel was good. But some problems. For example the 3 bottle of small water in a suite room which have 4 person not enough and if you request for more they asked for extra payment. The size of bottle very small.

We stayed at Melia Barcelona Sarria for 5 nights in the Melia Triple room. Having just come from Madrid staying at the other Melia group hotel, Palacio de Los Duques, our expectations were high for this one too. Unfortunately, this hotel did not keep up to our expectations. This hotel is NOT a five star hotel as it claims , not even worth 2 stars. Several issues with our stay. First room had issues with air conditioning not working, mosquitoes/ bugs in the room which caused bug bites to our children, water seeping out of bathroom door leading to a fall hazard. In speaking with front desk management, they transferred us to another room on a lower floor ( worst than the first one) which had the same issues of AC not working, doors creaking, dilapidated condition of the room, and worst of all air con leak twice in a span of two days which cause a stench in the hallway carpet. This hotel needs massive update and maintenance, the rooms are old with dust and fixtures scratched, paint peeled off. Fortunately for them , the staff in the breakfast buffet were very nice and helpful unlike the reception management.

Sub par service, checked in on a Wednesday after traveling from Madrid. The first hiccup of the stay was the safe being broken, I called the front desk only to find that the phone cord was frayed and the staff member could not hear me. I finally got through and a technician was sent to repair the broken items in the room, this caused a 2 hour delay that prevented me from getting along with my day. The 2nd issue that came up was, our Room was overlooked by the cleaning crew twice. The final nail in the coffin was at checkout. I was told that I had a 4 euro balance for making a phone call, I politely told the lady that the only call made was to the front desk on my first day there. She proceeded to waiving the charge but upon arrival to the US the charge showed up on my Apple Card a day after. Would not be staying here when I go back to Barcelona.

My room was so comfortable and had all the items I needed for a great stay. The hotel is in walking distance of quite a few great places. The staff were kind, helpful and breakfast services wonderful. They had recommendations and guide/advice. The restaurant attached had great choices and service was excellent.

The staff was certainly the most knowledgeable, professional I have seen in hotels. Wife and I compared it to mediocre service we get in the USA. The staff was "on it", really helped us get around, made excellent restaurant suggestions. Great, comfortable rooms. But the staff, amazing. The hotel is north near the university, so to get around you need transportation (we did the subways, which were very good). But there is so much to see and experience in that part of Barcelona as well.

I stay here for the conference. Asked an iron to prepare for my speech and was informed "sorry, we don't have, wait 4 hours or so, too many people asked the same". In normal hotel it's in the room! But Melia can't buy enough iron, while it cost like 30% of their price for 1 night! Worst experience I had within last few years.

Having travelled extensively all over the world for both business and leisure. This is definately one of the most welcoming hotels I have experinced. The staff are freindly, helpful and efficient. Spectacular service! We arrived after a 4-hour delayed flight and needed to immediately drop off our bags and make an appointment. When we made our reservations we joined (for free) to be "Level" members (definitely worth it) and had a very smooth check in. They arranged to take care of our bags and get them to our rooms and we made it out very quickly. The rest of our stay was similar, with the staff going out of their way (proactively as well) to ensure we had whatever we needed. We have dietary and Sabbath restrictions, and the staff were all quite knowledgeable about it and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel!!

Had just stayed at Meliá group’s Palacio de Los Duques in Madrid which was perfect so expected the same service at Barcelona Sarrià in Barcelona. Unfortunately not , this hotel should not even be awarded 1 star, leave alone 5 stars as it claims. First room- Booked for Melia Triple Room which promised city view but got to see the back side of Air conditioning did not work , mosquitoes/ bed bugs/ bugs on the room that caused massive bites to my children. Called reception to complain about both and they offered to change the room ( worse yet to come). Second room - transferred to a room on a lower floor which was worst than the first one. No view at all since 3/4 th window frosted for privacy. Air conditioning not working, doors creaking, constant water leak from the air con , overhead shower not working. Called the maintenance twice in 2 days to fix the leak, still leaking!!!! Hotel needs to be seriously updated and maintained. After speaking with front desk manager who made it sound like my issue not hers, received no other changes !!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our several days at the Melia, midway in our month of travel. Our room was very comfortable, the breakfast selection vast, and the front desk staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. If you are not driving, you will need a taxi or public transportation to get to the sights. Since we were traveling for a month, I was delighted to find a laundromat a 5 minute walk down the street. The hotel offered laundry services but we had a considerable amount of clothing and I thought it would just be too expensive to use that.

The hotel was excellent made that way by the staff who were all attentive, friendly and welcoming. We had Level access and found that to be amazing with food and drink available all day in a peaceful environment. Spa was also an added bonus where I had a treatment which was relaxing and calming. The location waa good we used the metro and the bus to get around. Our room was excellent. Spacious and clean and housekeeping were amazing. I have a special mention of thanks to Lidia at the hotel who showed kindness and concern over my daughter who was ill it made us feel relieved to know there was concern.

Hotel was superb. We got two rooms with a connected door which was great for our family. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were very spacious. Overall the hotel has an upscale feel. Breakfast buffet had good options. No complaints and highly recommend.

The staff at Melia Barcelona Sarria are the best. I left a valuable item behind when checking-out, and they were so kind to keep it and make sure to have it shipped back to me. I really appreciated their help in resolving the issue - I was so anxious that I would have lost the item forever! Thank you all.
