Hotel Barranquilla dengan Bar

Stayed three nights and it was delightful. Centrally located and walkable to amenities including dinner spots. The room was wonderful and clean. The breakfast, which was included was great! I was here on business and spent little time in the hotel, but it was perfect for what I needed, which was to sleep, shower and eat.

If you are looking for luxury as befits this chain (and other similar chains) in the US, you will be hard pressed to find it here. While a very nice hotel, it rates about one star less by U.S. standards. That said, I do think it is one of the better hotels in the city, and though I was not initially too impressed, my favor has grown in comparison to other disappointing hotel stays I've experienced in Barranquilla. The value is good for the price. I would stay here again as it is easily 1/4 of the price of the few hotels offering a higher quality stay. The rooftop pool was one of the draws for this hotel. Unfortunately, it was closed the night we were there. I think maybe they had just super chlorinated it because the water was slightly murky. It is a nice pool, though shallow, like all BAQ hotel pools. However, unlike many hotels in this city, the size of the pool did match the online photos. The room was large and the bedding was crisp and clean. The beds were more comfortable than the usual hard beds in Colombia. The mini fridge and the A/C worked well, as did the Wi-Fi. The room / floor was quiet. The buffet breakfast was good - not fantastic - but good. Several hot dishes, breads, muffins, juices, coffee, etc. The hotel is in Riomar, a nice area, but a bit far from the center of town...a good 4 or 5km away, which is a 20-25 minute drive. Easy for drivers to get confused with the GHL Hotel Barranquilla across the street, or the GH Hotel Barranquilla near downtown, or even the Hotel NH Collection Barranquilla downtown. The Buenavista Mall is nearby with eateries and bars, but it is not really walkable. A 20 minute walk in the heat of the day is rather far, and it's not very recommendable to walk too far at night if you don't live there. 6min ride. **Side note: Uber is not available in Barranquilla. Here, they use the app, InDriver. Taxis are cheap, though.

Congratulations. My first negative review EVER I stayed here 1 night on 6/16. I always sleep on my stomach and I woke up with a terrible rash on my chest. I had to continually apply alcohol just to keep it at bay. I alerted the front desk and suggested they change out the mattress lest this happen to someone else. I pointedly said I would pay for the room, but asked if they could at least comp me for 1 small bag of peanuts and a bottle of water I consumed. It then took them 20.minutes at checkout to tell me this was not possible. Avoid at all costs. Spend a couple extra dollars and stay somewhere else.

THE BEST HOTEL IN BARRANQUILLA. If you plan on coming on a family trip, couples' getaway, or work, do not bother going anywhere else. The food, service, pool bar, pizza, the views, the pool, the drinks. Everything is an overall 10/10 and would love to come back again soon!

Great location and close to everything we wanted to do while visiting. Easy walk to many restaurants. Good hotel breakfast with lots of selections. Shout out to Mayerly Vasquez; always very attentive and coffee cup was never empty. We also utilized the gym which was nice to have; however, it definitely needs some improvements - no TV, very warm, sometimes no water available and equipment is old. I recommend this hotel and will go back for sure.

This was the first of 3 hotels we stayed at over 6 nights. It is an older hotel but has been maintained. Only complaint we were not able to control the a/c unit in the room. They staff does speak English and are friendly and knowledgeable. They have an excellent Breakfast buffest each morning with was included in our rate. The roof top looks like they might be doing some work on. but is accessible , provides a view of Barranquilla *( best to see at night the city lights) . The pool is on the 3rd level with a bar area also ( not sure of the hours for the bar) is a decent size.

I cannot say anything nice or anything bad about this place overall. The air-conditioning feels like it is not working well. The desk staff doesn’t appear overly helpful but not necessarily rude. Just mainly indifferent to us. The “revolving” restaurant is only open four hours a day and you must make a reservation, the desk cannot do it. I have stayed practically everywhere in this area when we come to see my in-laws. I was surprised at how mediocre it is. The housekeeping staff is friendly, we always leave a propeno. There was a university having a recruiting event here. I have stayed at better but was always told this hotel was the premier. The location would be its biggest selling point to me, we have family two blocks over. If the service was better and the restaurant was open later I would call it 4 star, it is not five star.

I liked the location and the cleanliness. Breakfast was good, though choice was limited. Recently built property with good soundproofing and effective A/C Spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with an Italian shower. Reception lent me a mobile phone for mobile data tethering as there was no Internet connection in our room. Ice dispenser on even floors. Nice, professional, and friendly staff. Well-located plugs to charge our devices, though there could have been more of them. Internet was not working in our room. No minibar/fridge. Bad lighting, especially over the desk and over the sink, so that it was difficult to shave. Ice dispensers quickly empty. View over a middle-class building with clothes drying outside was awful. No rooftop bar or pool.
