First, the basic hotel info: it's a 40-minute drive from the old town. We've stayed at many 'Roc' brand hotels before, but this one was surprisingly small. Also, there are no shows or performances on weekdays.
Regarding cleanliness, our room faced the pool, which made it quite noisy. If you prefer quiet, you might want to request a room on the other side.
Now, breakfast. It was still 'Roc' style, but there really wasn't much to eat. We booked a three-day, two-night stay, and on our second morning, we were told breakfast wasn't included. This was absolutely ridiculous! The hotel's front desk had already confirmed it was included, yet the restaurant staff insisted it wasn't. They kept making us reconfirm and even took photos. Couldn't they just check with the front desk themselves? This lack of attention to detail was really disappointing.

The rooms are great and the pool is beautiful, perfect for a 'staycation'. The bar next door has a fantastic fire show in the evenings, and the singer is really good, creating an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast was also delicious.

If you want to enjoy the beautiful beach, facilities and hospitality of a 5 star hotel you get the right choice of Hard Rock Hotel Penang. The hotel is far away from downtown where the attractions and fantastic street food are located.
The room is comfortable and I got a free upgrade to a sea view room. My partner slept well but not me because the pillow of mine is lumpy, felt like it had clumps of filling.
Overall I am satisfied with my stay in Hard Rock and had some good times.

I've stayed here many times because my child really loves it. The room and bathroom are a bit small, and the pillows are too high and not very comfortable. However, the sea view from the room is truly amazing. Since it was our anniversary, the hotel even gave us a little surprise, which was a really nice touch. At least the hotel seems to value guest remarks. I will definitely keep coming back.

The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool is huge with an underwater music area, and there's a stylish gym with a view. The service is attentive, and the location is convenient with a quiet beach nearby, perfect for a vacation. I'll definitely come again.

Great stay with music and good vibes, the beach nearby has many cafes, can see sunset and sunrise. The food for breakfast is good!

This hotel is great for families with kids. The pool is huge, and there are lots of entertainment facilities. Breakfast is delicious and served until 11 AM, so you can eat whenever you like. The housekeeping staff are particularly friendly and always smiling.
The hotel bar is a real highlight – it's lively, and the singers are very good.
However, the hotel facilities are a bit dated, which is understandable given it's ten years old. Also, the room TV doesn't support screen mirroring.

This is the only hotel where I've successfully asked the front desk for an upgrade, which greatly improved my impression. The room isn't huge, but the lighting makes it look very avant-garde, and even the desk lamp has a guitar theme. The kids' play area is fun. The only downside is that a 1.8-meter bed is a bit cramped for three people.

Highly recommended for families with kids. The swimming pool is very large, and the seaside is beautiful—especially the sunset view. The breakfast is worth the price, offering a wide variety of options that taste very good. The rooms are spacious and relatively new compared to other nearby hotels.

This hotel is a bit out of the way; it felt like a long drive from George Town. However, it's quite unique, with photos and statues of many rock bands from the last century throughout the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit old, but the rooms are clean, and the front desk staff are friendly and kind. The sea view rooms have a balcony, which is lovely for sitting, watching the sea, and scrolling through short videos. That said, the beach wasn't as good as I expected. If you're looking for a really nice beach with fine sand, Sanya in China is better. Oh, and if you turn left out of the hotel's main entrance and walk for about 5 minutes, there's a Lebanese restaurant with great food and a nice atmosphere – definitely worth a visit!

The pink lighting design is avant-garde, and the rock music is loud and noisy. The beach is right outside. The kids loved playing in the pool. The breakfast had a rich and varied selection, and the pizza at the restaurant was good. Overall, it's decent value for money.

Bad experience. Long wait for check in 1hour+- after then must wait for room to ready until they call me but that time already 4.30pm. They call then i must quee againn for get the room. They give us to upgrade the room because room is under renovation. I agree because i think they give us ‘woww’ room but sadly i think this is downgrade room. Early booking i book seaview deluxe have bathtub. But i stayed room just shower only. Really dissapointed. Not worth my money. First and last. Thankyou
