The Bull and Townhouse, Beaumaris- the Inn Collection Group

Excellent stay at the Bull, Beaumaris. The rooms in the townhouse are modern, clean, and well appointed. We had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant with very good choices on the menu. We all had the lamb wellington, which was delicious. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at the Bull several times over the years and since becoming an Inn Collection hotel some changes have been made that have been to the detriment of our visit. No deal breakers per se, but little frustrating issues. We stayed in a suite room, which was lovely and very clean and comfortable but missing staple items such as no bottles of water in the room, no towelling robes and no walk in shower. The restaurant was only OK, although service from Jackie was excellent (thanks Jackie, see you again soon) but the menu was rather pub grub and I really struggled to find something on the menu that jumped out at me. In the end, my wife had fish and chips, which was good and I had sea bass with pearl couscous, which was cooked well but just ok. Breakfast was disappointing. No kippers on the menu now, and the poached eggs (well cooked) were served on a dry piece of thin white toast and not the thick, buttered farmhouse bread listed on the menu. When I queried this, the server was unaware of this omission and stated that the eggs were always served on white sliced bread (poor show). I must say that all of the staff we spoke to were lovely and friendly. We didn’t use the bar on this visit, but did notice that it was very very quiet whenever we looked in and that’s a surprising change from what we have experienced in the past. It’s usually a busy, buzzing atmosphere in the bar. We love Beaumaris and we do love staying at the Bull. We will be back, but would be very disappointed if these issues are not addressed.

Our business is motorbike tours and we love to stay at this hotel but unfortunately it was full. However, we managed to book a table for dinner. As always food the food was absolutely fantastic 10/10 and the customer service was outstanding- thank you Adam and team! Keep the good work up.

We popped in for a light lunch and a beer. The staff were all very professional and friendly... Our meals were superb... beautifully presented and very generous portions. I look forward to visiting the Bulls Head again in the future. It has a lot of history to it as you can tell from the building. Late 14th century in some places..

A great hotel in Beaumaris. We stayed in the Townhouse, modern, spacious and top quality accommodation. Food and drink first class and friendly and efficient staff. We hope to return soon

Excellent place to stay . Hotel had a lot of history connected to it which was very interesting and breakfast was excellent.

We have stayed at the Bull and Townhouse many times in the past 12 years most recently June 23. Since then reception has disappeared check in at bar. Queued 20 minutes to check in while wife stood on pavement outside Townhouse waiting with luggage to get in. We were 20 mins at dinner the fir St night sitting at our table before we realised that orders for food had to be made at the bar! The residents lounge seems to have become another restaurant area. Everything else much the same but it is a shame that we weren’t aware of these changes in advance! I suppose it isn’t much different from the Lindisfarne Inn now and we should have realised that change would happen! We knew it as a family run hotel with at one time a gourmet restaurant - The Loft and we did appreciate being looked after in our later years! PS the hall and stairways needed more attention - mud and litter on the floor at times.

Really friendly staff, extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent, good beer, Hancocks, and the evening meals were hearty. Loved the Welsh lamb Wellington and the chocolate delice were devine. Nice real fires and well decorated and modern in the back room. Bedrooms a little tired around the edges but clean and spacious, Beds comfortable with good linen. All in all great value for the price.

We absolutely loved it. We got engaged here 34 years ago and we were returning to celebrate . The staff were fantastic when they heard . They treated us like royalty. Paul the manager, Adam, Jackie, Tom, Sarah and Rob all gave us excellent local stories and advice. At the end we felt like family. We look forward to our next visit .
