Hotel berhampiran Oita Made Shop Beppu, Beppu

Great location, super convinient. It has only one lift serving entire building. Water tap is kind of old fashion, manual turning hot and cold. Room is spacial though. A little dissapointed with the Female onsen pool which is very small, also only one person at a time can use hairdryer and amenities at the changing area. Male onsen pool larger and more amenities provided.

Book incorrectly a smoking room. Luckily, the check in stag was kind enough to change to nonsmoking room. There is in house Onsen. Breakfast is typical Japanese varieties and good. Hotel can be seen from rain platform… it’s just 2 mins walk from jR Beppu station and right there is he bus terminal

Overall experience of staying at Seikaiso was very good. The location is close enough to the Beppu station(walking distance 10mins) and bus terminal is 2mins away. The best experience of this Ryokan is the hot springs and private bath on the rooftop. Breakfast is served per room on booking time with Japanese style breakfast. It was various dishes and delicious! The front staff/restaurant staff/general staff are all friendly and helpful. Especially at the front desk staff Urabe was amazing. He also speak good English so it was very helpful. He helped us everything what we need. 🙏🏼 We will definitely go back to Seikaiso again.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Service was very good. Parking was an extra 550 yen per day. Breakfast was Japanese style but did include a bacon and egg cooked in front of each guest with the small Japanese hotpot. Our room fit 3 adults was very nice with clean modern amenities consisting of one room with two single beds, and a sizable living room with futon in the evening for the third bed. Nice view of Beppu tower in our room. Hotspring outdoor was totally enjoyable with a view of the sunrise and the Beppu Bay. Gotta be careful though because for ladies, someone in a boat at the bay might be able to see our naked upper bodies with telescope if we stand up.😅

We were met by polite and efficient staff who could converse in English. We were given a tour of the place when we checked in. There were video games, manga, eating and Onsen recommendations, free self serve water, soft drinks, coffee, tea, cocoa and corn soup in the common area. Bicycles, indoor and outdoor slippers are free to use. Free parking is available on site. Our en-suite family room was very spacious, 2 double beds in the living room/ kitchen and a separate room with 2 single beds. Everything was very clean and the beds were firm and comfortable. No check out procedure required. There’s Don Quijote about 2 buildings away. I’m definitely coming here again when I next visit!!!

For those driving, please note that there are limited parking lots behind the hotel building. If it's full, you'll need to park at the multi-story car park beside the hotel, which doesn't come with a lift. Several convenience stores are located nearby the hotel. Overall, the check-in experience was smooth. However, the wait for the lift is quite lengthy, as there are only three lifts serving all customers. It took me 10 minutes to go down during peak hours.

We booked the Sora western room type, which was described as having two double beds and three futon beds. However, upon arrival, I didn't see any futon beds in the room nor were they offered. In terms of service, I expected a better introduction to the rooms given the price I am paying. We received a very simple introduction to the common area, but didn't get a room tour showing where things are located, which Yukata to wear indoors and outdoors, etc. I've paid a similar price for another onsen hotel where we received a much better reception upon arrival. We did ask for breakfast in the room for more privacy, and while we were able to do that for half the price at other hotels in Fukuoka, the staff didn't seem to understand when we asked about it. Overall, the amenities and room are really good, but service-wise, it's hit or miss.

Let's start with the room – it was simply great! Spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, it felt like a home away from home. After a busy day of exploring, returning to such a comfortable space was a true delight. And oh, the breakfast! Absolutely delicious. Each morning, I looked forward to a delightful spread of Japanese delights that tantalized my taste buds and left me feeling energized for the day ahead. It was a wonderful introduction to Japanese cuisine. Now, let's talk about the onsen – an absolute highlight of my stay. The soothing hot springs provided a tranquil retreat where I could unwind and relax amidst the serene surroundings. It was an experience I'll cherish for a long time. One of the things I loved most about Dormy Inn Oita was its convenient location near the JR Station. This made it incredibly easy to explore the local area and find delicious dining options for dinner. It was like having the best of Oita right at my doorstep! During my stay, there was an unexpected earthquake, but I was so impressed by how the staff handled the situation. They kept everyone informed and checked in regularly to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference during a challenging time. And let me tell you about the incredible assistance I received when my car ran out of battery. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me out, contacting the necessary services and ensuring everything was sorted out quickly and efficiently. It was such a relief to have their support. In conclusion, my stay at Dormy Inn Oita was nothing short of amazing. From the warm hospitality to the comfortable accommodations and delicious breakfast, every aspect exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to return and make more wonderful memories at this fantastic hotel. Dormy Inn will always hold a special place in my heart.

位置雖然距離由布院站有一段距離，但環境非常舒適，很日式的住宿環境。 晚上有約一小時的私人泡溫泉時間，這個安排對於不喜歡大眾泡溫泉的人來說太友好了！ 民宿的老闆和老闆娘也很和善，入住時會說清楚所有的設施和安排，還會給一張畫好周邊餐廳的印刷手繪地圖我們參考，真的好用心也好溫暖。也會帶我們稍稍參觀一下民宿的共用區域。可惜這次沒時間用他們的茶室。 好喜歡房間裡面的留言小本本，裡面有不同之前住過的客人寫的小分享和感受，靜靜的看着他們寫的故事，雖然有些看不懂，但真的好有溫度啊！

My buddy & I stayed at 山のホテル 夢想園 (Yama no Hotel Musouen) in mid-March 2023. From food to room service, everything was perfect. The food served was plated with such elegance, and tasted delicious. The outdoor hot spring is awesome with a magnificent view of Mount Yufu which made people want to soak in at all times. The staff is very welcoming and friendly as well. We will definitely love to visit again. We strongly recommend the hotel.
