I recently stayed at the Axel Hotel in Berlin for an academic conference and was disappointed with my experience at hotel and even Trip.com services. Despite the high cost of booking compared to nearby hotels or ***********, the hotel did not provide basic amenities such as air conditioning, toothbrushes, toothpaste, water kettle, slippers, and tissues. When I raised my concerns with the hotel staff, they did not address my complaints or offer any solutions. Unfortunately, my stay was further complicated by health issues, which were exacerbated by the lack of air conditioning. Despite having four more days left in my stay, the hotel staff refused to fix the situation or offer me a new room during first three days. Later, they provided everything but you need to go to reception each time . Overall, I would not recommend the Axel Hotel in Berlin due to the lack of basic facilities and poor customer service.
Meanwhile, i have compared the prices between *********** and trip.com as my friend’s preferred other sites. His booking includes taxi service, breakfast with big room but in my case, they just provide a room. Hope trip.com will also improve their services and inspect the hotels quality.
