"Nice hostel located in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants and grocery stores. I was able to cook in the kitchen when I didn’t want to eat out, but they are closing the kitchen as of 15 August 2025 due to guest misuse so keep that in mind. It is easy to get downtown by public transport but it is a little distance from all the sights and such."

"First of all, this is not a 5 star hotel! It is listed as a 5 ⭐ on many sites, but it is a 4 ⭐ hotel. Rooms are ok size, we had comfortable real double bed (not two single beds pretending to be double). Free mini bar and coffee machine was a great add on. But no slippers. Balcony in my room was too small, but some rooms have bigger balconies, so it depends on luck what you'll get. Location is ok, but not great. Close to the metro station with one line. To go anywhere you have to go to to Zoo station first."

"Lovely hostel and enjoyed sharing the room with the guests. Each dorm had its own kitchen and bathroom and it was clean and I felt safe. The bar downstairs is far from the rooms so it’s pretty quiet upstairs. As a guest you get discounts for meals and drinks when you stay at the hostel. The hostel is very close to Rosa-Luxembourg Platz which (right outside the door) which will enable you to take the U Bahn to Alexander platz and other places. The M8 Tram will take you to the Berlin Wall memorial and Berlin HBF and other surrounding areas."

"There was nothing to make. We had a very modern furnished double room for 2 nights of about 16 m2. Included was a microwave and a refrigerator with iced box. A small theche with hockers, made the room even more charming. The bathroom was also top. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Depending on your preferred place, you can use public transportation such as bus and tram or go a few steps to the S-Bahn stop. A shopping country is right next to and there were also various ways to saturate. There are fast food such as subway, doners or Chinese food, but also several restaurants nearby like Italians, Greeks, Thai etc. The hotel was the right choice for our stay."

LLambert_I stayed at the nhow Hotel Berlin with friends for 6 nights around New Year's. While there were some positive aspects, overall, the experience felt quite inconsistent for a 4-star hotel. The positives: - The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. - Soundproofing between the rooms was good. - The staff was very friendly and welcoming. However, there were numerous issues that detracted from the experience: - Reservation Mix-Up: I had specifically requested two single beds instead of a double bed, but this was not reflected in the room assignment upon arrival. - Missing Amenities: Basic items in a hotel like bathrobes and slippers were missing from the room, and we were told to order them via room service. Unfortunately, the app didn’t work, and no one at the reception answered the phone despite multiple attempts on different days. - Light and Noise Issues: While the rooms were soundproofed well from other rooms, we could hear everything happening in the hallway. Additionally, there was a gap under the door, letting light from the corridor into the room at night, which made it impossible to have complete darkness. - Wellness Area: The wellness area was underwhelming. There was no jacuzzi, only a sauna and a hammam, and the hammam was out of service. The gym locker room lights stopped working after a certain time, and towels were unavailable later in the day. - Misleading Information: A brochure in the room mentioned that phone chargers were available via room service. However, we were told at the reception that these were no longer provided for free and had to be purchased for €20. While the hotel wasn’t bad overall, these recurring small issues added up and left us feeling that the service didn’t meet the expectations for a 4-star establishment. It’s a shame because we did enjoy our stay to some extent, but the lack of attention to detail was disappointing. If I return to Berlin, I won’t rule out staying here again, but I’ll definitely check other options first.

AAmarFromUKLocation Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside. Room Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom. Bedroom Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed. Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough. The room is large and clean. The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice. The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big. Bathroom Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker Kitchen So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful. Laundry The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building. Breakfast The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask. Gym and Sauna Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room. Service. We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told. But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

The single room I booked was an attic room with a sloping roof and an area of ​​less than 15 square meters. It was a little cramped and depressing when I checked in. The front desk service is good, professional and enthusiastic. The room price is more than 900 per night. I feel that the price/performance ratio is not high. If I come to Berlin again, I probably won't stay here again.

윰윰라이프Berlin was my first city on my trip to Germany, so the location was perfect, right in the middle of the action. There's a DM Rewe Starbucks right next to the hotel, and Checkpoint Charlie is just a short walk down the street. It was convenient because you can catch a bus right in front to most tourist destinations. But if I ever come back to Germany, I wonder if I should stay here again. I'm hesitant... The female employee at check-in was so rude, I almost thought she was racist. There were 5-6 other groups waiting at check-in. When it was my turn, the female employee, who had always been so friendly and welcoming to the guests before her, completely lost her cool and sighed, saying things like, ”I don't understand what you're saying.” She didn't even offer that cheesy ”thank you.” Throughout my trip, I've never seen hotel staff treat me this way, not in Austria, Hungary, or Munich. The staff themselves seemed to be from Central or South America, and it was truly astonishing that a major German hotel chain would treat me like this, especially in Germany. Before my trip, I'd been receiving constant emails from the hotel, thinking they were very attentive, but this was a truly unpleasant experience. I wonder if I'll be able to go again.

AAnonymous UserI I had an unforgettable hotel experience. When I arrived, I tried to push the door open, but it was locked. There was no doorbell. Just as I was fretting over what to do, three groups of guests who had booked the same hotel tried to enter, but none of them could get in. Then one of the guests noticed a digital keypad and typed in the code from her email, but none of them could get in. Each of our groups tried their codes, but none of them could get in. As we were still fretting, the door suddenly opened, and a guest came out, allowing us all to enter. That guest explained that the hotel had emailed us a ten-digit start code and a four-digit comfort code. You had to enter the start code first, then the comfort code, to open the door. The other guests had both the start code and the comfort code, but my email only contained the comfort code. The kind guest checked my email and confirmed that it contained only the comfort code. He then called the hotel, and they said our reservation had been cancelled because we hadn't paid the city tax. However, I clearly saw on the check-in voucher that the €29.90 check-in fee was payable upon arrival. The staff member on the phone later said they would email us the payment and, after payment, gave us a new start code and comfort code. After payment, we finally got a room. However, upon checking in, I discovered it wasn't the Standard Studio with Balcony we'd booked, but a Standard Studio. I didn't want to call them again to complain about the mistake; I just wanted a comfortable room. The hotel's location is convenient, about a 5-minute walk from S train station, and the room was generally acceptable.

The room had oven, fridges, sink and the bathroom and shower is common. The surprise was that there was also a tv.
