Capri by Fraser Berlin

Solid apartment-hotel in a nice location. Good for business travellers.

Firstly, the room was pleasant and good value, and the hotel was in a great location. Unfortunately, there were couple of things that we didn't love. We did not realise we would not be able to open the window in the room, not having fresh air in the room and living there for a week wasn't pleasant, especially because we did not have air conditioning only heating! The fridge did not work very well, and the few pieces of cutlery could have been cleaner. Also, the refillable dispensers in the shower were empty, with the toiletries bottles sitting on top which wasn't very glamorous and a bit annoying to use. I appreciate that Covid makes things difficult but we had to go down to reception to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper, we stayed here for a week and the bed wasn't refreshed or the room cleaned or bins empty. One thing that was really unacceptable was other guests leaving rubbish outside their rooms, I'm guessing this is because of the lack of room service which is fair enough, but most of the time the rubbish and empty food boxes would be sitting there for 1-2 days which was really disgusting and not pleasant to see coming in and out of our room. The staff were lovely but one staff member in particular seemed inexperienced, and they were working on their own for breakfast service, they were playing a radio talkshow very loud and did not seem very switched on with helping with the breakfast. We had breakfast once and it was extremely overpriced for what we received– a raw egg, completely gone off soya milk and a bit of brown fruit, the coffee cups also didn't fit into the coffee machine...but the bread was fresh which we were glad for! I also think the security could have been tighter, we came in late to the hotel sometimes and no one asked us for our room number or key, so it made me feel like anyone could have walked in.. Lastly, one of the reasons we booked this hotel was because of the convenience of Kaffee Karamel, when booking it said the cafe would be closed until 31 December, we were really disappointed that it stayed closed for our whole stay. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

Very good accommodation at Capri by Fraser in Berlin, great location in Mitte near many attractions, close to U Bahn Station connecting you to Berlin’s great shopping and tourist destinations. Hotel was clean, staff polite and professional, room met our expectations, only disappointment was that the hotel bar was closed during our 3 night stay.

Lovely staff, interesting historic feature on site, great room with comfy bed, dark curtains and kitchenette making everything convenient. Location convenient. Breakfast was too expensive compared to other local options but overall a great hotel

Great location. Room was 28 degrees in January with only option to regulate temp to turn system off leaving room still at 25 degrees and stuffy (windows don’t open in rooms). No house cleaning offered over 7 day stay, and no top ups of provided supplies (careful with your toilet paper use!) In room washer was musty with washed clothes smelling worse then when they went in

We visited Berlin for the Christmas markets. Capri By Fraser is central location, clean, tidy and furnished / decorated nicely, the staff are so friendly and helpful, a few added touches such as a pack of sweets left on our pillows in our room was great! We enjoyed breakfast, a good selection of hot and cold food. 100% recommend!

Was witout hot water for a few days other than that overall was alright for the prices

We had a brilliant stay. A fantastic breakfast with loads of choice, really comfortable bed and room. The staff were really helpful and the only down side was the bar was closed for our duration. The shower was fantastic and the hotel was well located to visit central Berlin and one of the three main buses (200) was just acros the road.

Lets start with the positives. Location was really great (10 min walk to Alexanderplatz or museuminsel), loved the shower and Nilou at the desk was great!! It could be a really great hotel if they make some changes; fire the really rude guy at the desk, put more towels in the bathroom, upgrade the breakfast (scarce and in a conference room), rent out better bikes (they were really old and we are Dutch so used to bad bikes 😄). So some recommendations; •for dinner Haicoffee at Wallstrasse had great sushi (walking distance). For great Vietnamese go to mr Vuong! •for breakfast Yada Yada or just get something at the supermarket opposed to the hotel. •For ‘pay what you think its worth’ walking tour book at Walkative. They start at the rotes rathaus, bus stops at hotel and at rotes rathaus or walk 10 minutes. •Skip the hop on bus and just take a ride with bus 100, same route!
