"The guy at the reception in the morning was rude. I arrived before check-in time to leave my luggage there and come back. He looked and talked to me in a way that showed that he was bothered by me being there. When he took me to the luggage storage I had forgotten to pick my jacket, so I opened my bag and picked it, ito took me 2 seconds, but he told me "I told you to check all your things, why don't you understand?" Maybe he had a bad day ( it was around 10 am) but is that how you treat a customer? The guys in the afternoon-night on the other hand are super nice and funny. They are the reason why i didn't give 0 stars."

"It is a nice hotel. The price for what you get is very good. Gym, pool and room all very good. Only thing that I did not like is that cleaning of room costs extra. They did not change any towels or empited our garbage bins during our stay (4 nights). If we wanted this, it would cost extra. Overall all good."

The shower was very good, loved the room! Location: Just 15 mins walking from main station and Friedrichstrasse. around Oranienburgerstrasse lots of nice restaurants and cafes, also only 5/10 mins walking! Also to Hackischer Markt close walking. Trams/subway in front! Breakfast: Loved the restaurant and the breakfast was so good!"

"My stay at Pfefferbett Hostel was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I received a very warm welcome, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. "The room had a terrible smell. It smelled of an old unwashed man. Dirty carpets, dirty towels, holes in bed linen. Overall cleanliness leaves much to be desired. I appreciate it that after my complaint nice staff gave me a different room, but that new room was smelly as well, I figured it was because of the bad air conditioning system, and I guess old untended carpets also contributed to the problem. In the new room the towels looked clean, but they smelled of fried patties. Overall, it was an awful experience, it was hard to breathe with the air conditioner on as it made the room stinky and humid. That's why I decided to refrain from using it. Luckily, the temperature outside did not exceed +30°C during my stay. This is definitely not a 4-star hotel!!! It barely deserves even 1 star."

"Candlewood Suites Berlin Charlottenburg was an excellent, no-drama stay for a quiet January visit. The lobby and common areas are clean, modern, and genuinely calm. The self service setup works well, and the suites have everything we needed, so it was not an issue if the front desk was not staffed at every moment. One unexpected highlight: the coffee machine. The Flat White option (page 3) is, without exaggeration, the best coffee I have ever had from a “dummy” machine. Smooth, balanced, and actually tastes like a proper flat white. If you want a quiet, practical base in Charlottenburg with a well designed setup, this place delivers."
