Park Head Hotel

房間很大很舒適，也算乾淨，餐廳的食物也好吃，很大的停車場可以免費泊車，一次很好的住宿體驗。

We stayed here to attend a Christmas event and although the hotel has undergone a full refurb recently we were left disappointed at the lack of accessibility in the accessible room. 1. The bathroom has a toilet roll holder where the person using the toilet has to reach behind themselves to use it. This makes it nigh on impossible to use it so we utilised the grab rail to stand it on. 2. The toilet 🚽 is a raised toilet but it is raised a little too high for the average person to use. 3. Accessing the room could be easier. The presence of a ramp on the opposite side of the room would make it difficult for users of large wheelchairs 🦼 . We had a wide powerchair and managed it with a little manoeuvring. 4. The space on one side of the bed 🛌 is too narrow to assist a person with mobility difficulties. My wife always takes the side of the bed which is closer to the bathroom to make it easier for her, I struggled to help her into and out of bed as well as dress her. 5. Wheelchair users will find it difficult getting into and out of the bathroom into the room due to the positioning of the wardrobe. A lot of manoeuvring was required to do this. The staff were great and assisted when asked but a little initiative when seating for meals wouldn’t go amiss. They showed us to our table for breakfast but we had to move the chairs as they didn’t.

I enjoyed my quiet ground floor courtyard room, with it's cosy central heating and pops of orange to brighten the decor scheme. Lots of lighting options, a good size desk and a large wall mounted TV. Good pillows and duvet, although I found the mattress a bit too firm for a side sleeper. The bathroom was spacious, hot water appeared quickly and the shower was fab. The car park is well lit and the spaces wide enough to avoid doors getting banged. Restaurant and hotel staff all pleasant and helpful.

Tried the Sunday lunch. Poor value for money. Beef was definitely not carved from a joint, Yorkshire was dry as sticks, Roast potatoes were just wrong. Only decent veg was the carrots. Service was poor but that is not a judge of any staf… just poor training. Will not go back!

This hotel has been fully refurbished fairly recently and part of the Auckland Castle project. It’s open for non residents for breakfast, snacks through to Dinner too. Stayed here for a lunch and it was very easily priced and well presented meal. I would recommend it for sure just for lunch. Didn’t see the hotel rooms but the public areas are very well presented meal, modern, clean and tidy and the staff very pleasant too.

Booked for lunch with friends. Lovely decor nice and bright and modern. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food was excellent, quickly served and hot. Plenty of it well cooked and all of it delicious. Everything was just lovely. Thank you
