This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. We came in so our girls could attend the IU Women's Basketball Camp. We love the kind and helpful staff. The location is great because we can walk to everything. The hotel is super clean....the gym, the pool, the rooms and even the breakfast area. The staff who help with the breakfast are so friendly. One plus about their breakfast.....they have to go containers. Seems silly to be excited about this....but with 2 small kids who don't want to come down, this is so helpful. Oh and they have non dairy milk options. HUGE PLUS for my family.

The hotel was a little dated but the beds were comfy and breakfast was amazing. Cindy went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Will stay again. Conviently located to go any place in Bloomington.

This is a sweet retro motel with the nicest owners and staff you will ever find. At check in there are wonderful mints and water bottles. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable and the wi-fi works great. They are working very hard on restorations. Sleepers bar which is connected is owned by Sleeper. Both Sleeper and the owner of the motel are former IU graduates. We just had some snacks and very good pizza and drinks at the bar, great service and conversation. The breakfast is wonderful, hot and cold items...who doesn't want biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs? There is a lovely courtyard which will be fun when the weather is a bit warmer! This is a great affordable motel in a good location and they are working very hard to make it a success. Stay there and support them, you will not be sorry!

I tried to find a spot on the Bonvoy App for a review, but could not make it work so I am here now. We were in town for Homecoming and appreciated due to booking FAR in advance we could use points for our stay here. This is our 5th or so time at this hotel and it is due for upgrades ASAP. The Springhill is WAY better than this location, but it was not available. First of all, in the lobby the coffee carafes were always empty or cold. That was our first impression as tired travelers. My husband did the check in, but we heard a guest interacting with the staff due to bugs in their room and that gave us the creeps! We did not have bugs, but we had a worn room. The hall carpets and paint need replaced, and well as many of the room furnishings. The toilet in our room was all cracked in the inside, the carpet was dirty and the couch was dirty and had torn spots. The items in the cabinets were sp**** (We had been at a Townplace the night before and the kitchen was well supplied). Time to update this property for all the guests to Bloomington with IU there. We stayed on points and can't complain about the cost, but rooms were listed for greater than $800 at one point and if I paid that would be VIVID.

I was very disappointed as it was listed as a ”Non-smoking” hotel, when the whole upper hallway smelled like cigarette smoke and then a strong odor of incense just before the stairway to the lower level where my room. Staff at front desk was notified about the hair dryer that was found plugged into bathroom outlet with a melted plug and missing the ground prong, desk lamp that flickered on and off when cord was bumped to plug in charger in same outlet and ac/heating unit that had electrical tape wrapped around the cord. Front desk staff requested that an email with pictures be sent. Staff member confirmed receiving email with attached pictures to Super 8 general mail box. I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends. However, I did appreciate the front desk staff being apologetic about my room condition/ safety issues. The Breakfast area was clean, well lit and welcoming. Breakfast and drink selection was an 8 out of 10.
