We stayed here as we were down for a friend's birthday but made it an ideal location. There is the main hotel building and an annexe, which is where we were in. We were greeted by Chris, possibly the owner at the annexe, anf directed to our room accross the garden to the Bury St Edmonds room which I didn't get pictures of, but was quite small but had all the amenities, bathroom etc. We explained I am disabled so she checked and said there is room for one car on the other side right next to the building,which was great, but just for one car comfortably. We had just gotten into our room when Chris asked if we minded stopping rooms, as the other couple were worried about the main road noise. This we did, and I feel we got the better roomier room, of the Cambridge room. Photos attached, nothing you could want more, but there is no iron and ironing board. The annexe did have a kitchen that I didn't venture into. The breakfast was in the main building with cerials, and choice for breakfast of cooked etc, and coffee all being a bit sparce on the coffee front, as was from a percolator and could only have a small cup at a time. If I had anything else on a slight negative to say, it would be to give the breakfast chairs a good clean, as are cream with hand marks on it. The outside is beautiful in the main hotel, and I bet stunning with the river running past in the summer. I have stayed in lots of hotels, and this is one of my favourites with the staff, being friendly, accommodating, and making you feel welcome. Would stay there again, great value for the price.

We have just got back from a 2 night stay. We stayed in the family room in the main hotel which was a good size for myself,husband, 16 year old and 6 year old. Beds were really comfy and the view of the river was lovely. I did feel that the fixtures and fittings were a little tired looking and the room could of been cleaned a bit better. There was also 1 tea bag in our room and we couldn't get anymore until the morning. Our general experience was good and we would stay again.

On arrival there was no one at the front desk I had to stand and wait whilst the lady got other guests a bottle of wine , then to be given a room key and told I had to walk up the road over the bridge to another part of the hotel if you would call it that , I also had the option to drive up and park in what looked like someone's back garden , then to be greeted by someone who I still don't know who they were out of the house that the garden belonged to and told where to go , I then had to proceed to walk thru the soaking wet muddy grass to get to another building , I found my room which was clean and tidy but what I did not expect was to have ZERO sleep the whole night there may as well be no windows in this place they are that paper thin and outdated that you would hear even a bycycle pass by. This is the worst experience of my life staying in a hotel and I use them 4 nights a week. The noise from the cars and lorrys is unbearable there is no stop to them it is all night long constant traffic it got that bad I considered going sleeping in my van as there would have been less noise . Very disappointed in my stay here and I have to say I will never be back .

Nice and clean, comfortable. staff excellent. Would think a nice place to stay in the summer its on the River Ouse so lots to do. Good breakfast and tea room. off street parking. Near town centre less than five min walk. One draw back farm lorry's pass the building early in the morning, its a narrow road

Great stay as usual .... had a mix up on booking but ... as always if there's a problem Sylvia and matt are always so helpful and the mix was sorted within no time at all ... staff are soooo helpful Hotel and rooms are fabulous 5 ☆ experience as always thank you

We have just had an Excellent stay in family room at this hotel and with a river view. Cannot fault it . Breakfast was perfect and staff friendly and professional . Can hire boats from the hotel . We will return again soon instead of looks mg for other accomodation on the area. We have tried all in this area now.

The bridge hotel brando : The hotel is very close to a busy road not at all (in my opinion) like the tranquil scenes posted on trip advisor. Photos were taken from the window of the room so you can see how close the road is. The furnishings were rather worn and I thought tatty.attached photos of some rather worn fittings.

Our Brandon Feel Good Suffolk walking group stopped by for coffee and cake this morning. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the beautiful sunshine, watching brave paddleboarders as they prepared to enter the Little Ouse river behind the hotel. The cafe service was great and we will definitely be returning. We look forward to seeing the covered dining area, complete with concrete table and fire pit, where we can stop by for warming drinks during the colder months.

We stayed here for convenience to Hockwall hall for a wedding. The location of the hotel is beautiful set just on the banks of the little Ouse, just beside a bridge ( the clue is in the name I guess) . Lovely as weather permitting and for us it permitted. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated clean with great room facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room had freesat tv. Breakfast was lovely, fresh served diced fruit with natural yogurt, fresh orange or apple juice. Toast served and then a choice of full English breakfast or whatever combination you want with tea and coffee. Staff very friendly and helpful.
