RrickychungkkI had an amazing stay at this place! The location was perfect—close to the city center, public transportation, local shops, and restaurants. The apartment was clean, well-decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches like complimentary coffee, luxury toiletries, and a guidebook with local tips.
The host was an excellent host, providing clear communication and quick responses to any questions we had. They even left a welcome basket and gave us great restaurant recommendations.
Overall, this Airbnb exceeded our expectations, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. We hope to return soon!

Xxiaofei jiaThe front desk staff were very warm and humorous. I checked out during the day and asked them to store my luggage. When I went back to pick it up in the evening to catch the last bus, I was in a hurry. They comforted me, saying there was still time, and gave me a bottle of water. They also wished me a pleasant journey. I was really touched. I wish the hotel would do better and better and the staff would be happy every day.

Absolutely stunning mountain view from the balcony of our suite. So breathtaking yet so serene. About 10 min walk down hill brings us to lively village of Grindelwald with all its shops n restaurants n cafes n supermarket. Cannot ask for a better location. Having said that, without a car, it can be quite challenging to take our luggages uphill to the hotel.
Breakfast is another highlight of our stay. Fantastic selection of cheeses n eggs n bread n yogurt n everything. Delicious.
Our suite is clean n comfortable n spacious. WiFi is stable.
The only “negative” I have for our 4-night stay is that the glasses/mugs we used in our room were occasionally not cleaned for us after each day. It is a bit strange.
All in all, I have no hesitation recommending this hotel to other travelers.

DDapaoLokasi hotel ini sangat strategik, terletak betul-betul di antara Stesen Kereta Api Grindelwald dan Stesen First, kedua-duanya boleh dicapai dengan berjalan kaki sekitar 5 minit. Bagi mereka yang memandu sendiri, ia juga sangat mudah kerana hotel ini mempunyai tempat letak kereta sendiri.
Balkoni bilik menghadap terus ke Gunung Eiger. Memandangkan kami tiba pada waktu malam hari pertama, tiada apa yang dapat dilihat. Namun, saya terpukau apabila membuka pintu balkoni pada pagi keesokan harinya, melihat Dinding Utara Eiger yang diselubungi awan dan kabus.
Restoran Barry's di tingkat bawah hotel sangat popular. Walaupun ramai pelancong senegara saya merasakan rasanya tidak kena dengan selera mereka, pada pendapat saya, ia hanyalah standard masakan Eropah yang purata. Bagi mereka yang biasa dengan masakan Barat, ia tidaklah sukar untuk dimakan atau tidaklah teruk. Harga hidangan utama adalah sekitar 40 franc.
Logo hotel ini ialah seekor anjing kecil bernama Barry. Dikatakan anjing ini pernah menjadi anjing penyelamat di kawasan ini dan berjaya menyelamatkan ramai pendaki gunung. Oleh itu, ia diperingati dan restoran itu dinamakan 'Barry's'. Restoran itu juga menjual barangan cenderamata bergambar anjing Barry, yang agak menarik.

JJulieWe stayed in the hotel for 4 days. Location was very near the train station and accessible to buses. Staff were all very helpful and accommodating. The picture of the hotel in your ad was quite deceiving. The hotel was old and made up of very old timber. , though the inside was modern in style, the room was really not a good place to relax / sleep in since I can hear the loud steps of the one above our room and the noises from the adjacent rooms.No lift or elevator available. Not recommended for elderly tourist. Amenities like kettle for hot water and water dispenser needed to be taken from the ground floor near the office. Breakfast has a variety of foods served daily. The only consolation was the breathtaking views of jungfrau and accessible transportation.

TTravel bear around the worldWe are staying in Grindelwald for a couple of days and we spent one night in this hotel.
The location is a bit far away from the train station and it’s exhausting to carry heavy luggage over the slopes between station and hotel.
The price is reasonable and the balcony view of Eiger is stunning. The hotel looks quite old where no ventilation system can be found in washroom. Wi-Fi signal is poor and we were unable to connect it in the room.
We appreciate the breakfast as the food quality is good but seems the number of staff is limited. They are required to work in the reception for check in/out enquiries and at the same time busy rushing to the breakfast area to clean up the tables and food.

DDariaThe hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room.
However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done.
The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good.
The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet.
Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)
