We spend 5 gorgeous days in this hotel. The staff was really polite and helpful. There are some nice places around such as walking shopping street with incredible brûlée donuts, ramen just 2 min walk .

TThe Travel HunterThis was our first time staying in the Gion area, and Hotel the Celestine truly elevated the experience. The atmosphere is calm, elegant and very Kyoto. From check in to departure, everything felt smooth and professionally handled.
The cleanliness was impeccable. The room was thoughtfully arranged with a perfect balance of modern comfort and traditional Japanese touches. Beds were extremely comfortable and the space felt well planned, not cramped like many city hotels.
What makes this hotel special is the location. Stepping outside places you immediately in the charm of old Kyoto. Walking through Gion in the early morning before the crowds arrive was unforgettable.
Service deserves special mention. The team was polite, warm and always ready to assist with genuine hospitality.
A beautiful property for anyone who appreciates quiet luxury in a prime cultural setting. We would gladly stay again.

Laundry facilities provided with self pay washing machine and dryer. Interesting part is that we can see in live mode which washing machine or dryer is in use. DDreamscomeTrueVery nice ambience and a new luxurious hotel in Kyoto close to the 清水寺。 Restaurant choices are quite limited inside the hotel complex but they have got a great spa with excellent service staff. Down the hill should be some international restaurants at Park Hyatt Kyoto another luxurious five star hotel. Breakfast bento boxes not too appetising and not much food selections for in room dining as well. But the neighbourhood was quiet and nice.

UUJHZThe hotel boasts an excellent location, just a two-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it extremely convenient for both transportation and exploring the city. Being so close to one of Kyoto’s main hubs means you have immediate access to trains, buses, and a wide range of shops and restaurants.
Right at the entrance of the property, there is a 7-Eleven, which adds a great level of convenience. Whether you need a quick snack, drinks, or travel essentials, everything is easily accessible at any time of day. Additionally, Kyoto Station itself features a large shopping complex with countless dining options, retail stores, and services, so you are truly in the center of everything.
The room size is on the smaller side, but this is typical for Kyoto and was expected. Despite the limited space, the room is functional and suitable for a short stay. The hotel operates with a modern, efficient system, offering automated check-in and check-out machines, which makes the process quick and hassle-free. Amenities are not placed inside the room; instead, guests can pick up what they need from the front desk. This approach is understandable and aligns well with environmentally friendly practices.
Breakfast is a highlight of the stay. The quality of the food is very good, and the staff in the breakfast area are particularly warm, attentive, and welcoming, which adds a pleasant start to the day.
However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The area above the bedboard was noticeably dusty, which detracts slightly from the overall cleanliness. In addition, the curtains do not fully block out the sunlight, resulting in the room becoming quite bright early in the morning. I would recommend that the hotel consider providing eye masks for guests, or alternatively, travelers should bring their own. It is also worth noting that eye masks are not available at the nearby 7-Eleven, and during my two-night stay, the strong morning sunlight consistently woke me up earlier than expected.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaI really liked my stay in Tokyu Stay! The hotel is located quite near the train station, doesn’t give any anxiety when getting to the train station with our luggage’s. It is also located near a lot of food places. I like that there was a washing machine provided in the room, it’s so convenient! There are free sake and coffee at the hotel lobby. There are two hotels under Tokyu Stay on the same street so don’t panic if you went to the wrong one, because this outlet is just down the street.

NnxmdyThis is the second time that I’ve booked here because the last time I came everything was satisfactory. The room was really wide compared to other hotels that I’ve been to in Japan. Not just that, the onsen was clean as always and had yuzu inside this time but maybe it’s because it was winter but I couldn’t see it the next day so that was abit sad. The service was great!! You can check out and still ask them to hold the bag. The only downside I could say was that the walls were slightly stained ?? I think it’s due to the luggage being moved around by other individuals. It’s not too the point that it would bother anyone. But it did catch my eye abit.

YYury GrinI stayed for 4 nights from January 4 to January 8, 2026.
From the hotel, you can walk to Nijo Castle in about 10 minutes. There are many small convenience stores nearby (7-Eleven and the like), as well as two large supermarkets — Life is open until midnight, which is a huge plus. You can buy nice gifts for friends and family late in the evening without wasting daytime hours.
The transportation access is great too: within a few minutes' walk there's a subway station and a JR line (convenient for coming from the railway station), and right next to the hotel there's a bus stop. This is important because Kyoto's sights are scattered all over the city, and you often need to use public transport or taxis.
Speaking of taxis. Twice I asked the reception to call me a taxi, and both times the staff helped me — a huge thank you to them! It was especially important on the first day: thanks to a taxi, I made it to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in time and explored it without rushing.
Check-in was very quick, and the staff explained where everything was.
The room was quite spacious — or maybe it just felt that way. I comfortably unpacked my suitcase and took out everything I needed without feeling cramped. The room had all the essentials, and there were kettles near the elevator that you could take to your room if needed. I did, and had some tea before bed (on the first floor, you can grab a free tea bag if you don't have your own).
The air conditioner worked for both cooling and heating — which was very useful on some evenings. Honestly, I only used the hotel to sleep, and it was perfectly fine.
Every morning, breakfast is served on the first floor. To be honest, I expected something simple since the room rate was quite affordable. That's why the breakfast was such a pleasant surprise! My eyes wandered every morning at the variety of delicious food! A huge selection. Every day I had rice with various toppings, amazing salmon, cod, and various vegetables (the okra here was especially good).
There's a small smoking room on the first floor with good ventilation.
My overall impression of the hotel is extremely positive. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kyoto.

PPengguna TetamuWe absolutely loved the facilities and location of Kyoto Gojo Premium Hotel. It is incredibly convenient—just a 5-minute drive to Kyoto Station, and only one train stop away, making it very easy to get around.
The hot spring facilities were especially comfortable and relaxing, and it was such a wonderful experience for our whole family. We also really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel, which was delicious and a great way to start each day.
The staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful. Overall, we had a truly enjoyable stay and a very memorable experience.
