We’re a family of 4 (6-years-old twins), and booked a room for one night, arriving Aug. 14, at Ibis Süd Habenhausen in Bremen, Germany, on 14th August 2021. By mistake we booked a room for 3 persons (for only 1 kid). When seeing the mistake, we tried to contact Ibis immediately by phone (no one answered) and email to ask if the kids could sleep in one bed. Email was not replied until 1 day before our stay, when we were already on the way to Bremen, so we took for granted that our suggestion was accepted. With our booking code we could enter the hotel. Only then we checked email and saw their reply recommending us that we should book some other hotel!? When carrying our luggage to the room, at one point my husband forgot to wear mask, one of the staffs (probably Indian) ran after shouting that he should wear a mask; fine, my husband put it on immediately, however, that guy himself didn’t have any mask (!), so what’s the point of the staff screaming? The day after, when we checked out, the same cleaning staffs were there and they realized we had stayed with 2 kids. We told them of our email to the hotel but they didn't show any understanding, however in the end we finished our talk and left. The man from yesterday, still no mask, stood at the entrance of the corridor and listened to the conversation. When we passed him on the way out, he started to raise his voice and stirred the issue again. He called us names, “cheaters”, “you Swedes” etc., he even threatend to call the police! Later on he shouted at my husband “ar*chloch” (as*hole). I was so angry and tried to take a photo of the man and asked for his name but he disappeared quickly in a room, once again without mask, other staffs just told us to leave because of “over-stayed”. Does overstay of a 6-years-old kid mean we should be threatened with police, be called names and be insulted like that?

Das Art-Hotel ist ein günstiges Hotel mit akzeptabler Qualität, das auch für längere Auffenthalte taugt. Die Zimmer sind sauber, allerdings nicht im Besten Zustand. Es gibt aber regelmäßige Reinigungen und z.T. sehr nette ausgestattete Bäder und Schränke. Das Besondere an diesem Hotel sind die Bilder in der Lobby und auch in den Zimmern - zudem gibt es einen kleinen Austellungsbereich. Ob man das braucht, muss jeder selber wissen. Neben den normalen Zimmern gibt es noch 2 externe Bungalows, die man mieten kann - zudem gibt es einen großen und gut genutzten Parkplatz für Wohnmobile. Den Stellplatz muss man beim täglichen Einparken passieren, was manchmal eng war. Parkplätze für PKWs gibt es direkt am Haus, allerdings sind diese knapp und teilweise umkämpft. Vereinzelt muss man sich diese mit falsch parkenden Wohnwagenbesitzern teilen, die ebenfalls dort campieren. Das scheint aber Jahreszeitenabhängig zu sein: Zum Jahresbeginn war da nicht viel los, später im Frühling stand da schon alles voll. Frühstück hatte ich keines gebucht, da ich im der Firma speise. Sehr begrüßenswert ist der preisgünstige Wäsche und Bügelservice. Auch schön ist, dass die Rezeption meistens gut besetzt ist, wenn man ein Anliegen hat. Etwas schwierig war die Kommunikation mit dem Service - bis zum Schluss ist es mir nicht gelungen, herauszubekommen, welche Nationalität das war. Im Großen und Ganzen empfehlenswert mit mittlere Ansprüche.

I stayed overnight in Bremen and I chose this hotel as it was very close to the airport. It can be reached by walking a few minutes from the airport. There's a McDonald's between the hotel and the airport, so I picked up some food before proceeding to the hotel. I arrived a little earlier than check-in time so I expected to just leave my things first. I was pleasantly surprised when they said the room was ready. The room and bathroom had charming decor. Wifi was free. The room was quiet, despite the proximity to the airport. The staff was friendly and checkout was a breeze. The room did not come with breakfast, which worked for me since I had to leave for an early morning flight. Going to the city center is a short tram ride away from the airport.

Modernes neuwertiges Hotel direkt gegenüber dem Flughafen Bremen. Großzügiges Zimmer mit Minibar und Nespressomaschine. Bad mit begehbarer Dusche. Zwei Flaschen Wasser. Blick auf den Park. Durch die Lage im 2. Stock etwas dunkel, da vor dem Zimmer zahlreiche Bäume sind. Frühstück im 8. Stock mit tollem Ausblick auf den Flughafen. Reichhaltige klassische Frühstücksbuffetauswahl. Service eher bescheiden bzw. ausbaufähig, da die Azubis noch nicht wirklich den Überblick hatten, aber ok. Vor dem Hotel die Straßenbahn, die alle 10 Minuten tagsüber direkt ins Stadtzentrum fährt. War sehr zufrieden, aber bei längerem Aufenthalt hätte ich ein Hotel im Stadtzentrum bevorzugt.

Perhaps not the most attractive location in an industrial area near the autobahn, but who cares? This hotel offers nice rooms for a fair price, perfect for breaking up a long journey. Those who pay for breakfast won’t be disappointed, it was surprisingly good. The staff was very helpful and wifi was good throughout the premises. Downtown Bremen is only a 10 minute drive away if you want to see the town.
