Holiday Inn Express & Suites Green Bay East

My family and I stayed here for a night during our road trip to Oshkosh. The hotel's proximity to the highway was very convenient. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast in the morning. However, the main floor is still under construction, and the fitness center could use some improvement. This property has a pool, but it needs more attention from the staff. Overall, it's not a bad option for a short stay.

As the previous reviewer wrote in May 2024, yes there are some construction items going on now but the second and third (where we stayed) floors have been completed and the first floor was being painted and the the new corridor light fixtures were being installed. Although there is construction equipment blocking the west entrance you can still enter from the east. Our two (2) rooms were very spacious for four (4) people with very large walk in showers, which had there own supplies of liquid soap, conditioner, and shampoo. The location is only a 15 minute or so drive from downtown with easy access to the highway. Our teenagers appreciated being able to connect their x-box to the wall mounted tv set so easily and they enjoyed the pool staying open until 11pm. If we decide to do another "round the lake" vacation we will definitely stay here again!

This is a nice Holiday Inn Express with helpful friendly employees. When we booked for a family event, the web site clearly stated that they were doing remodeling, but all services were open. The pool and hot tub worked, the fitness center was open, the breakfast was good, and well-stocked. There was work being done on walls along the first floor hallway, but that didn't bother us, because we knew about it when we booked. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. No complaints.

My wife and I spent a night here en route to Door County. The stay was ok, but right now there is a lot of renovation work going on inside the building. It's certainly good that they're updating the facility, but the ongoing work does make the stay somewhat less enjoyable. If we are in this area again we would certainly consider staying again.

It’s is undergoing a remodel. My estimate is it’s 1/2 done. I stayed on the third floor and it appears the remodel is complete on that floor. The staff is helpful and friendly. Comparing to other Holiday Inn express sites, the heating and cooling seems older and possibly should have been upgraded. Otherwise all the other Holiday Inn touches are there. I will stay here again when in the area.

Stayed here 1 night. It was clean overall, but furniture is dated & our chair was stained. The bed was comfortable & like the choice of different pillows. The pull out was worse than most, thankfully a child used it & didn’t notice. No way an adult could have slept on it. Had a suite & don’t understand why you would design a door with glass in it.Having a larger refrigerator was nice since we needed the freezer. Pool & hot tub were clean, nice kiddie pool if you had a little one. Breakfast was only average, once again at a Holiday Inn Express the pancake machine was not in use! For the price we paid for a suite, would not stay there again.

Hotel prices in Green Bay were astronomical the weekend of our stay due to the start of the annual EAA Fly-in at Oshkosh, so we chose the east side Holiday Inn Express location because were were able to use accumulated IHG points here to pay for our three-night stay. I booked our room a month in advance and requested very specific amenities. All were acknowledged and accommodated. We arrived a couple hours before standard check-in, but our room and room keys were ready. We appreciated that there were plenty of luggage carts available in the lobby. My first order of business after check-in was printing. This HI Express has a small business office for guests, and a printer is available. That task accomplished, we headed up to our room. The hotel is older and some of the furnishings are beat up, but the advantages of staying here outweighed any negative impression. Our double queen room felt homey and was large enough that my daughter could utilize her yoga mat on the floor every day. The room was furnished with a cozy easy chair and floor lamp, a large desk and office chair with a table lamp, three-drawer dresser, flat screen TV, blackout curtains, and a full-length mirror. We loved the Keurig coffee maker in the room. Of course, the faux cream powder supplied isn't edible, so we bought a pint of milk at a convenience store nearby and kept it in the mini-refridge. Other amenities included a microwave, iron/board, alarm clock, desk phone and small lamp on the nightstand, and an ice bucket. We didn't want maid service during our stay, so Hubby grabbed towels and coffee pods from the maintenance cart in the hall when we needed refills. We kept the "do not disturb" sign on the door, and we were not disturbed. One room feature I really liked was the night light on the hair dryer. Such a small item makes a big difference because guests don't have to turn on bright overhead lights in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Another feature I liked was the wall dispensers for personal care products which eliminate single-use plastic waste. The complimentary breakfast was a pleasant surprise. They served turkey sausage instead of just pork. Since we don't eat pork, we can rarely eat breakfast meat at hotels. Fresh oranges were also provided - a nice addition to the typical bananas and apples found at breakfast buffets. We noted only two minor issues during our stay. One was a bedside electrical outlet that wasn't working, so no phone charging availability there. The other was that the bedspreads were very slippery and kept rolling off the bed in the middle of the night. But it wasn't cold, so that wasn't a problem. As always, the beds and pillows at IHG brand hotels were scrumptious. And there was no noise at our end of the hall, so we slept well. I should mention the indoor pool. My daughter considered taking a late-night swim, so we went down to check it out. The adult pool is small, which doesn't matter if no one else is swimming,

My absolute favorite hotel! I go there offten for and stay while handling business in the city. The staff is friendly and helpful. I vibes are very relaxed and the style of the hotel is modern. I will not stay anywhere else!

Staff were great, facility was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfy and the breakfast was excellent! I’ve never seen such a family friendly pool area! Wonderful value!!! Will be staying there again! ………………………………………….
