M-Square Hotel

We loved this hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights and wish we had booked for longer. The hotel is set back in a square and not immediately visible from the road but no difficulty in finding it. We stayed in room 701. The beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious. No noise from outside or inside the hotel was heard which enabled a great sleep. We had a coffee machine in our room but it had no instructions and we had no idea how to use it but there is a coffee machine at reception available all the time which supplies delicious coffee. The buffet breakfast was more than we could ask for with fabulous scrambled eggs! We had a late flight but the hotel supplies lockers for luggage free of charge so we were able to make the most of our last day. All members of staff were helpful and friendly and our housemaid was lovely. This hotel is in a lovely area for exploring and very central. We would definitely return!
Vagabond Downtown

We loved our 5 night stay here, we opted for a 1 bedroom apartment. We were amazed at how big, clean and well equipped the apartment was (there were even a couple of laundry pods to do washing if you wished). The staff at reception were really welcoming and happy to help giving great advice. Location is fantastic as close to all the main sights with the metro, tram and bus stops at the top of the road. Close to some brilliant restaurants like Mozel Tof, Ghetto Goulash and Pork and Prezli (make sure you book) Really handy that the direct airport bus stop is just a 5 minute walk too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if coming to Budapest.
Ramada by Wyndham Budapest City Center

The staff here are very welcoming and always happy to help, with great knowledge of tourism hotspots in the local area. The location is great, right in the heart of Budapest within minutes of Váci street and the Danube River. There are lots of great locations nearby so this is a perfect spot for a tourist holiday. The hotel was incredibly clean and the rooms are equipped with everything you would need (TV, wardrobe, toiletries, hairdryer, mini bar and safe). There is only breakfast service and no other food or drink service in the day, but the breakfast room and terrace are open to sit anytime, plus there is no need for more facilities when the city is right on your doorstep.

As soon i walked through the main entrance door i had a sinking feeling. So there's a door to the side up the 1st flight of stairs, no sign nothing. I went in, at first glance it seemed ok. Manager said they messed up my booking and that i had to have a top bunk for the first night, this was a challenge as last year I broke bones in both hands. It was like climbing up and down a mountain, quite dangerous for me with weakened hands. My bed number changed the next day,i went to plug in my electric toothbrush-there was only 1 tiny plug on the wall by the pillow, i saw that the sheets were very grubby looking and there was a long black hair across the sheet, not mine as i am blond. People going in & out the dormitory room the entire night, slamming doors, talking, music from the bar below blaring out. Next day i made a cup of tea,the manager had said tea, coffee were free and there were some supplies but the kettle didn't work, you had to keep the switch held down manually, hardly any milk and not that many supplies considering the number of people in the hostel. Manager sprawled out on sofa farting loudly, one night he ate his dinner and sounded like a pig, however, that would be insulting a pig as they are quite cute, he was not, it was obnoxious! i noticed he wore the same clothes for several days on end, his attitude was curt and abrupt, problem? **** off then sort of thing. Last morning and i found out that my shower gel and conditioner had mysteriously vanished, indeed on the 2nd morning i overheard a girl asking if anyone had handed in her earbuds which had been on her pillow, i doubt if anyone would have taken them especially from her pillow, the beds each had curtains so you couldn't see randomly in much this place was vile, please spend more money and go elsewhere, the room stank all the time, it made me sick and queasy, the toilets were outside the room meaning you had to go out and back in again, ok clean but shared by 5,000 others, same with showers, 2 showers for like millions of people, thieving going on, NASTY NASTY HORRID PLACE, BLIGHTED MY TRIP 3rd night rave absolutely blasting out the entire night through from 10pm to 7am, omg it was so loud, no sleep, not much sleep anyway, yuk beautiful city but DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! OR STAY AT YOUR PERIL AND PREPARE TO LOSE YOUR STUFF
