I checked out of this hotel halfway through a two-week stay. Suspicious of certain activity I found I could turn my iPad into a motion detection camera by downloading an app. Sure enough, it didn’t take long before I had a recording of a member of staff entering the room, opening the room safe and pocketing some contents. Friends in other rooms also reported missing money, but did not have any proof. The thieving technique appears to be slicing the top off the wads of pesos you need in this largely cash society to minimise risk of detection. The police were a bureaucratic black hole. Wyndham’s customer services and Group management were utterly disinterested. So, fellow travellers, we are on our own and I suggest you avoid this hotel unless you are confident about your security. A pity, because the front desk staff were the best, but if you do not remove the bad apple it will spoil the whole barrel.

Others have written about the area etc. I experienced a few problems in the hotel and they were all dealt with to my complete satisfaction. One of the problems was of my own making. The reception staff got a bus journey rebooked at no extra expense and printed new tickets for which I am very grateful.

A nice hotel in a good Location close to bus and metro but as well you can walk to most sights. In a old building with interesting inside area with lots of moderan art however i would say the hotel has a need for renovation, same like our room, which was very spacy but could use a upgrade. The main street can be rather load as well. Very good and friendly staff which make your stay even better. Pricewise is really good. Decent breakfast always the same so gets Boring after a few days. Coffea is available throughout the day in the lobby.

Our stay was uncomfortable and extremely disappointing for the price. The rooms are in need of a repair or renovation; the reception often smells like there is a sewage leak somewhere but masked with sickly sweet air freshener; the whole building is very hot; and the breakfast was basic and slow to be replenished. Some staff were helpful, it depended on who you spoke to. We would not stay here again, particular as it was priced as if it was a much nicer hotel.

The front desk people couldn’t have been nicer. The hotel is lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast was good. We were able to store luggage while we left the area for two nights. Location is close to restaurants and a grocery store.

The location is exactly where we want to be and the staff is wonderful. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Some good restaurants nearby too and taxis come by all the time. BA is a great city. The staff also helped with a guided tour. Starbucks next door!

This hotel is conveniently located but unfortunately we were not happy with our room. It was very outdated, centrally controlled air. Conditioning not good as our room was very hot and stuffy. The bathroom sink had leaky taps and drainage was not good and when shower over the bath you were ankle deep in water..

Esplendor by Wyndham is located well on San Martin Street with a huge shopping plaza and many restaurants close-by. It is only building, which needs better lighting inside the guest rooms, practical lighting and location of shower-heads that is far away from the wall to take a shower. My shower was only 4" away from the wall, with the lower faucet to fill tub also about 4" from the wall, so impractical to take a good shower. My TV had NO SIGNAL throughout my 3-night trip, so that was boring.

The hotel was very clean, the included breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful! There is a little restaurant right across the street that is excellent and affordable.

Not a good hotel. Great location but a/c was a problem and the room had no view and no where to sit other than a hard plastic chair. I doubt I would choose that hotel on a return trip to Buesnos Aires.

The Esplendor was included by our tour company as our four star hotel for our three night stay in Buenos Aires. Sadly it failed to live up to its rating. Indeed it would barely make it to a three star on the evidence of our experience, with the exception of willing staff, especially on front desk. The bedroom was dismal and dark, even with the lights on in daytime. There were no public spaces in the hotel to relax or meet up away from the bedroom, with only a pool table on the small mezzanine and a sofa by front desk where we could await taxis. The hotel’s downtown location is good but it desperately needs some internal TLC and probably some serious financial investment. Or it needs to dilute the promise it presents as a four star hotel.

It was not a bad hotel, service was quite good, location was very good, the main issue was variety and types of food, not satisfactory at all, we barely had breakfast there. And rooms were mot fully equipped

I gave this hotel 4 stars because of its location and very friendly staff . The staff doesn’t hesitate to engage in a friendly conversation. The rooms are large with lots of room for suitcases etc. The beds are comfortable but the furniture is dated and well worn . The door to,the rooms are at least 10:feet tall . But we didn’t stay in our room at all , we were gone from early day until evening . The hotel is located right in the middle of the office and business district and literally next door to the famous Galleria shopping mall. Breakfast is not the greatest , sparse actually . There are several places to have a full breakfast close by with good coffee and pastry . The hotel is close to so many places to walk to and when you walk out the door you can feel the energy of the city . We loved the location .

This hotel is by far the worst that I have ever been to. Nothing in this hotel is like the pictures. They are scammers. The pictures that they have are nothing like this hotel. The furniture is all dirty and damaged. The breakfast is terrible. They don’t even have enough staff and have it in the basement.
