Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

We love high quality accommodations and Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge did not disappoint! The food is incredible and made fresh daily, the staff (shoutout Benin and Sam) are kind, attentive, and fantastic at their jobs. If you’re thinking about seeing gorillas, come to Uganda and visit this team! You will not regret it.

We arrived January 26 for a three day stay with our main objective to go on a gorilla trek in the bwindi national impenetrable national forest. This lodge was recommended by our tour Director through gorilla o’clock. Of course we read the reviews before leaving home, and everything was as described if not better. We were greeted very graciously by the Lodge staff, and given a very thorough briefing of the lodge and amenities. We met a wonderful gentleman Isaac Who was the bartender sommelier and waiter. He went beyond all that and made great recommendations, had great conversation.and was a lot of fun to hang out with for three days. The room was absolutely amazing. We had a suite overlooking the mountains with a fireplace and wonderful large bathroom. Amos was our caretaker for the room and did a turn down every night , started fire in fireplaces , hot water bottles in bed and organized our room. After days hiking he cleaned our muddy boots and gaiters. Service was awesome and he is a very kind gentleman.. Edward hung out in the lodge and helped us identify birds has a lot of knowledge concerning that. that was a highlight of the stay can’t believe how many birds you could identify from our back porch. All the staff was very kind and the chef Milton was awesome because the food was some of the best I ever had at a resort.. we enjoyed the grounds, but the highlight was going tracking to see the gorillas. We wish we would’ve done two days of gorilla trek, something to think about when you travel so far. Experience was very authentic and we enjoyed venturing out a couple days in to the local community to interact with the locals. Everybody is so friendly. Highly recommend!

Breathtaking views, amazing rooms and very friendly staff. By far, the most spectacular accommodation we have ever stayed in: spacious, very comfortable bed, super large bathroom, plus our own butler per room! Thank you Team, especially Amos and Friday.

It was absolutely amazing! The lodge is fantastic, the food is perfect and most importantly, the service is absolutely incredible! Isaac is the best guy of the lodge, very attentive and offering the best service ever! With no doubt I’ll recommend this lodge and I’ll be back here myself!

This lodge is next level! The rooms, the service, the views… literally you are waited on hand and foot at all times. Rogers the manager will do anything for you, Isaac our waiter made sure we ate well and even arranged for special dishes, Innocent our driver helped arrange the most magical gorilla trek imaginable, Sam our butler made our rooms cozy even when it was chilly outside. Lots of fun activities to do during the day and the BEST massage I’ve had in years. 10 stars!

Wonderful lodge. Our room was excellent and the service was outstanding. Diana and Isaac took care of all our needs and even spoiled us. The food was by far the best we had during a two-week trip to East Africa. And the trekking to see gorillas is one of our all time favorites. Highly, highly recommend.
