Location is great, along the main road and near business establishments. Parking a little bit difficult even though you've reserved your slot, it can still be occupied by other tenants.

I booked to stay at Top Star hotel in a Queen room for 2 nights during my visit to Cabanatuan. The hotel looked pleasant online and I was looking forward to my stay. I arrived early with my partner for check in. The front desk were obliging however charged 500 pesos for the early check in. When we arrived in the room we were immediately overwhelmed with the smell of damp. On closure inspection black mould was seen on various wall surfaces and on the edges of the carpet. I called reception and the member of staff was very nice and apologetic, she offered to have house keeping show me another room. After inspecting a further 4 rooms I concluded that they were all of similar damp condition. I was then offered a suite which looked and smelled fine.... fine that is until we activated the aircon and the same damp mouldy air was being circulated... I personally have an Allergy to this and so does my partner so after an hour we both began to feel unwell. I wrote an email of complaint and forwarded to reception I requested that I be refunded for the stay and I would move to another hotel. When I attended reception I was advised by the manager that they would only refund for 1 night of my stay which is ridiculous as my reason for cancelling was due to substandard conditions detrimental to our health. I informed the manager that I would then be lodging a complaint with the Department for trade and industry in the Phillipines which she didn't seen all that bothered about. This hotel has serious damp issues that need addressed, so my advice for anyone with asthma or any allergy condition is to avoid this until it is addressed. If a hotel wants to charge as a mid level hotel then it also has to perform at that level. I will continue to pursue my refund as this is in total violation and morally incorrect . On a positive note the housekeeper and receptionist were very nice and professional and the reason for my service low score is purely down to the managements failure to refund.

A bit expensive but very nice and good service. The huts are quaint but the shared bathroom is not so good. We upgraded to a better room and got private bath. Definitely recommend

Budget friendly hotel! Located at the city center. Novo mall in front. Parking onsite. Walking distance to the delicious Luz Restaurant. And short ride to the tourist spot Lumang Gapan. Clean, new & spacious room. New towels & beddings. Toiletries provided. But no slippers & bottled water. No refrigerator but it’s ok for short stay. Bathroom heater is good. Plated breakfast is available.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel and fields around the are gives the rural vibe. The staff was very accomodating. Overall, did not expect so much from the price range but I was satisfied with the service.

Terible hotel! Avoid this at all cost I tried staying here at first in May. Since my preferred hotel is fully book ( Microtel) and it will be just for 1 night I opted to stay in this hotel since it is close to my work place. Impressions: ＞ parking is okay ＞ front desk is just okay ＞ internet is okay ＞ room smells dirty! ＞ Carpet Feel sticky and itchy! ＞ Window type aircon is very very noisy! ＞ Heater does not work! ＞ toilet shower is dirty ＞ Shower area lacks lighting It was a terrible stay! But since it was just one night i just let passed by. On my second travel in July last week since Microtel is again fully booked, I booked for 2 nights and asked if they have a premium room. But they offered only the deluxe room and with bath tub. Impression: ＞ since it was raining parking is flooded. Be sure to have extra shoes or remove your shoe or else it will be soaked in water! ＞ front desk is just okay ＞ internet is okay ＞ room offered still smells dirty! ＞ Carpet Feels still sticky and itchy! ＞ Window type aircon is very very very very very noisy! ＞ Heater does not work again! ＞ toilet shower is dirty! ＞ Shower area lacks lighting ＞ land line does not work. You have to go to lobby just to ask! ＞ there are no tissue upon using the room. ＞ I stayed two nights but you will never See someone clean or vacuum the carpet! Or hear any vacuum. Who knows if they even clean the carpet or when?! Here is the worst part: Upon check out Friday, “SHIELA” in the front desk did my transaction for I paid through my credit card. And she encountered an error (receipt didn’t print). So I left my card to and told her I will be back (I got something from my car) I came back and she said everything was okay. Upon arriving home I just noticed that in my credit card statement there were two (2) transactions done. So I called them back and found out that she made a mistake on swiping the card again after the first attempt. She could have voided the first transaction BUT OBVIOUSLY she wasn’t trained to do so. There was no supervisor or manager to assist her at that time as well. BUT WHY DID SHE NOT TELL ME BEFORE I LEFT!!! Now i kept on chasing the refund from them. “SHIELA” Even mentioned they do not offer refund anymore.! ***! It was not my mistake if you charge me twice! *** supper stupid! She offered me credit for the next stay only. And I refused since I will not be staying in their hotel anymore! I have to wait Monday before I got proper update. I was able to receive my refund Only until Thursday August 5! Another issue is that the refund received was less than the actual charge! Credit Card Charge was 3436! Receipt was 3406! The refund was 3401.64! See how stupid! Mahirap lng ikaw pa mag fofolow Up sa kanila para e refund ka! Parang gusto nila ako pa mag hahabol sa ginawa nilang kamalian!
