Holiday Inn Los Angeles - LAX Airport, an IHG Hotel

We stayed one night after a long flight to continue our trip the next day. It is ok for one night, room a bit smelly, loud air purifier (?). Mostly friendly staff.

Location is great McDonald just few steps away. Airport shuttle time is not punctual. Waiting shuttle in the morning was told come in 15-20 mins time passed checking again repeated the same response…showing impatient when checking the time schedule again….

The room was tidy and clean. It was also spatious. There was enough space for my two big pieces of luggage. The shuttle service is also good. Overall it was a comfortable stay.

Everything is ok but just wondering why the hoyel doesn’t have any complimentary drinks like bottle water. We need to buy at the lobby for $3😭

We chose this hotel because it had a shuttle service from the airport. We were arriving from China after a 20+ hour trip. The shuttle bus driver was very helpful in both directions. However, I am giving this a 1 star review because they scammed us out of $44. As I said before we used the shuttle bus service and did NOT have a car. As we checked in we told the receptionist at the registration desk that we did not have a car two times. We even asked about the shuttle for the next day. We were very tired and jet lagged so when they gave us the paperwork to sign we didn't read it over thoroughly and just signed our name at the bottom like we have done hundreds of times at other hotels. A few days after leaving we saw that they had charged us $44. We called them to find out why and they said it was for parking. They told us there was nothing they could do about it because we had signed the form. We asked to talk to a manager and they put us on hold for 15 minutes then hung up on us. The person we spoke to on the phone was rude and clearly had no sense for customer service. We have stayed at Holiday Inn Express before and it has always been a pleasant experience but this location has some serious issues.
