We were delighted with the hotel! The location itself is very good, everything is close. We had a room with a sea view and it was worth it, it was very beautiful! And special thanks to the chef, there is a lot of food, tasty and varied. I definitely recommend this hotel!

We stayed in an apartment-type room for 6 days with our two-year-old and five-year-old children. We would like to visit again. good 1. It is true that there is a slope from the beach to the hotel, but even a two-year-old can walk there. 5 minutes on foot. 2. We stayed in room 776. The room was an apartment type with a kitchen, so it was easy to live in. Basically, all the equipment was provided. If you ask the receptionist, they will give you detergent and a sponge. Beach towels are rented out with a deposit of 10 euros each. They will happily accommodate if you want to change them. The deposit is returned on the last day. There are no seasonings. 3. Dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes. It was free for a two-year-old, and it was about 30 euros for two people. I felt that it was good value for money. 4. There is a convenience store-like supermarket 3 seconds walk away. 5. There is a regular supermarket, ALDI, about 15 minutes on foot. The hotel staff is very good, highlighting Julia from Reception far above all. His attention to detail and making each client feel at home has been the best. Very good facilities with a large solarium area and excellent services. The buffet is very varied and of high quality. The rooms are very complete and renovated with a kitchen included with all the necessary utensils. Definitely to repeat!

We have just returned from a 10 night stay from Leonardo Royal hotel, Palmanova Bay. I must admit I was a bit nervous prior to arriving due to some of the negative comments on here. I had also booked the holiday as a surprise 50th birthday present for my husband. I have got to say that The hotel exceeded my expectations. We had a suite with a sea view and got to say the view is absolutely amazing. It was lovely to sit out on the balcony and yacht watch. Our suite was also quite new and well kitted out with a small kitchen area. We stayed half board and had the drinks package at dinner. The food in the hotel was great and there was a wide selection of food to cater for all tastes. There were plenty of loungers on the sun terrace. The swimming pool is quite small but it wasn't busy so able to have a swim. The hotel is located on a hill approximately 200 metres from the beach of Palmanova. We all enjoyed our stay and my husband was pleased with his 50th birthday surprise which is all that mattered. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return in future.

If there is something I didn't feel in this hotel was a sense of welcoming and warmth. I know they are located in a "party" area but that does not mean everyone is there for the same. The reception staff was just not friendly. My friends also stayed in there at the same time as myself and my partner and they were literally told by reception "no insistas" when he was trying to understand why they were asking them for a specific card. To have in mind my friends had a small kid so definitely they were not partying. On the check in was not told about any activities, rentals, etc etc..was told by the amount missing to pay for a tourist tax alright. As first people that a customer sees when they go in a hotel, reception should be more aware. The first impressions are the ones that make an experience be remarkable..and this one was just and experience that did not bring any happiness or rush to go back to this property. The rooms are very spacious (just don't get the need of cleaning every single day but is just my opinion), the views are also really amazing. Cleaning staff and the gentleman for the bar in the lobby great and nice.

We arrives yesterday. 19/06. I was immediately worried because the rug in front of the reception desk was practically living. There was queue like an execution and there was only 2 members of staff, both who were raging that that their printer wasn’t working. Then it got worse. 1 woman in front of us was reporting that her room had been broken in to and one gentleman reporting that he had checked in and the room was filthy. This gentleman tried to explain this to the man at the reception and even made a joke about also being robbed. The guy on reception was more that just rude to him. In the UK, someone would have given him a right hook for the way he spoke. He spoke to the guy literally like he was a piece of dirt. When the gentleman asked to speak to the manager he came from behind the reception with an identical approach. We got to our room, old and tired is an absolute understatement. The bathroom suit was chipped to pieces, there was hairs everywhere, the wardrobe doors are actually hanging off the runners, the linen looks like it has been washed in sand for years before being put in my room. IT IS LIKE BLACKPOOL ON A GOOD DAY. We stayed the night, today 20/06 we woke up after a roasting night. We could see through the night that the the temperature on our baby monitor shows 28/29, aircon clearly not working. I spoke to reception early afternoon. They first off tell me to adjust the switch, i do so and leave it 2 hours, no change so I return. They then tell me an engineer is on the way. The engineer makes some adjustments. 3 hours later it is still not working, I return to reception and i swear on my family this was my exact response “The engineer says some rooms are much hotter than others, we cannot do anything now because it is too late but come down first thing tomorrow and we will change your room”. We have decided to find a new hotel. I booked this hotel because the reviews are amazing and the pictures are. I really do not think these reviews can be real, this place is an absolute dive. And to boot, it looks F all like the pictures, literally nothing like it.

The only good thing about this place was its location and lovely Enterteinment staff who, unlike the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. Everything else was falling short on every level. We stayed in “superior” room of the main hotel which did have a lovely view but was teeny tiny for two adults and one child. Double bed was in reality two single beds pushed together and my daughter slept on a little couch. Cleaning standards were very low, the cleaners use a mop spreading the hair around rather than actually hoovering the room. I have not heard a hoover in that place for the full week we stayed there. Beds were also not changed once. Next thing is the staff. Pool bar and the restaurant staff were the most unfriendly people I ever came across. Making you feel like you are an intruder rather than a paying guest. All inclusive package included only a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, that was it. We are not drinkers so this wasn’t a big deal for us, but if you are paying all inclusive hoping to get unlimited alcohol, I suggest you check what you get in the price. There was no alcoholic drinks in the pool bar, unless you paid for them individually. Also, coffee was not available during dinner. My husband asked if he could get a coffee at dinner and was abruptly told no, only at breakfast and lunch. Food was below average, exact same thing every breakfast lunch and dinner. Bland and no variety. By day 3 we were eating outside as couldn’t stomach anymore of the hotel food. Next thing is the lifts, very small, noisy and always busy. So prepare yourself for a walk up the stairs if you don’t want to queue up for a miniature lift. Also, if you have any mobility issues I would like to point out the pool is located about 4 flights of steep rocky stairs down from the reception area so this may cause a difficulty when you need to go back to your room. This, plus lack of lifts can set you back 8 flights of stairs if you are on one of the higher floors of the hotel. Good workout but not everyone may appreciate it. Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for any bit of standard. Again, lovely location but that’s about it. I don’t know how this place is rated 4 stars, it should really be 2.

We were skeptical to book this hotel after reading some of the reviews but I am sooo glad we did! It is worth mentioning that the hotel has three different buildings so we were dropped off at the first hotel but was then told by reception we had to check at the other building then our room was actually located in the third building! For people who struggle walking, have loads of bags or are with kids it might be worth calling ahead to see which building you are in but as a group of young girls this wasn't an issue for us at all. Most of the staff were nice & helpful. Charlotte was so lovely :). The food was great, couldn't fault it! There was lots of options and the eating area was really clean which is rare for a buffet style all inclusive. Our room was spacious & spotlessly clean, the maids visited every day. The only bad things to say is at night you can hear a bit of noise, babies crying, people closing doors, talking/singing but this may have just been the location of our room. Also, there aren't a lot of sunbeds about despite having space for more. We noticed people would put their towels down & be gone the whole day which was a bit annoying. Otherwise, it was perfect for us. The location is great with some gorgeous bars around & only a short walk from magaluf, although it is quite hilly so may not be ideal for some. If you are looking at this hotel, I honestly wouldn't let the bad reviews put you off as this is probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in Palma Nova!

Just back from a fantastic week here. I'd really just like to reiterate what many of the 5 Star reviews have already said and to question some of the bad reviews of this wonderful hotel. Myself and my 8 year old daughter loved this place from the moment we arrived. Staff at reception were super nice on arrival and really helpful. Our room lived up to our expectations too. We had an apartment with incredible sea views. The room was spotless. I had a room with a double bed while my daughter had her own separate room with a single bed. The small kitchen was perfect for the small amount of food prep we did. There was also a cooker which we never used. We went room only as we like to have the choice to eat out at different places but we had breakfast in the restaurant on 3 occasions and dinner there twice. The food was excellent for a buffet-style dinning experience. There was plenty of choice and a different variety on both occasions we had dinner. It was also excellent value: €22 for dinner for me and €11 for my daughter. Wine or beer was included in that. I had two glasses of wine both nights but was told I could have gone up more if I had wanted. The kids club and general kids entertainment was brilliant too. There was stuff on all day and a disco, movie, live music or quizzes on every evening. My daughter never got bored even though there wasn't a lot of kids her age due to time of year. Alex who runs the club was also brilliant and the kids loved him. Generally the hotel is just a lovely place to spend time in relaxing. The views are stunning and the pool area is just a great place to spend the day chilling while the kids swim or do kids club. The one slight fault I would have is I didn't think the selection of food from the pool bar was great. Very limited and not to the standard of the rest of this place. All in all that's a minor thing as everything else more than made up for it. Lastly the location is perfect. You are slightly off the main ***** so it's nice and quiet but you are literally a 5 minute walk to all the cages, bars and restaurants as well as the amazing beach. All in all this place was incredible value and we look forward to returning again.

We arrived late morning and were lucky enough to be able to check in straight away. I had asked for a quiet room and we had room 174 - facing the sea/trees. Our 1 bedroom apartment was spacious. Nice modern bathroom. There were 2 full wardrobes with plenty of hangers. The bed was comfortable and the apartment very clean. It was 5 euros to hire the safe for the week, this was refundable upon check out. The pool area is very big and there are masses of loungers. It is very relaxing watching the boats coming in and out. The pool area and glass veranda needed a really good scrub down and sweep. And the reception staff didn't seem very happy at all.... We would certainly return though as overall it is a great hotel and a brilliant location.

Myself and my partner stayed here for a weeks holiday in April and are looking forward to returning again. Check in was quick and efficient and completed by two friendly members of staff. We stayed in a sea view suite which was probably one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in! There was every amenity you could want and complimentary bottles of chilled mineral water. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage space for clothes and suitcases. The bathroom was great and the walk in shower was huge with loads of hot water and good water pressure, I would have taken this shower home with me if I could! 😂 The view from our balcony was stunning overlooking the bay and we spent some happy evenings sharing a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. The pool and sunbathing areas are good with plenty of sun loungers and tables and chairs in several different areas for you to relax and have a drink and bite to eat. Our room and the hotel in general was spotless and well looked after and all the staff were very friendly and polite. We had drinks at the hotel and didn’t think the prices were bad for a hotel, we didn’t eat at the hotel as we went out to dine each evening. The hotel is perfectly situated looking over the bay, with a clean sandy beach a 5 minute stroll away and plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. We will definitely be back to stay at the Royal Leonardo Hotel as both the hotel and Palma Nova are beautiful.

Beautiful location, lovely pool by the beach, friendly staff but certainly not a 4 star hotel, it’s a 3. Two days with no air conditioning working in my room and my friends, after letting reception know the first day, we were assured it would be fixed by time we came back that evening. Checked with reception who assured us ac fixed and safe fixed, went to room and yet again not fixed. So they lied ! Spoke to reception staff following morning after 2 nights no air conditioning, asked to be moved room, they said new rooms be ready by 11am, I said let’s give you extra half an hour to be sure, by 12, we pick up keys to both new rooms, one is cleaned and second still not clean (bearing in mind all the time wasted during our short break away trying to sort all this !). Also safe in new room still not working. Eventually speak to the Manager who was very polite and listened, he offered us complimentary drink by pool after me suggesting that nothing has been done to recompense us for valuable lost time during our hols. He’s advised us give his name to pool bar, after queuing 20 minutes we get served and she said she knows nothing about this, so we now wait for manager to come down to pool bar….this hotel had lots of bad reviews but we went into it with an open mind.. they need to sort these basic things if they want to up their game. I would stay in this area again but never in this hotel. Lots of people around hotel saying they’ve had trouble with air conditioning and rumour was that it’s not all switched on !? And to top this off no hot water, no matter how long I ran it, Maintenance came to room and managed to get hot water at 4pm, but when I try in evening and morning there is none, so is there not enough capacity to give everyone hot water?

We went for only 5 days but it was one of the best holidays we have had. I have visited Palmanova before and stayed at different hotels, and I am happy that this time we have chosen this hotel as it was very nice, modern and clean. Both swimming pools were clean and well maintained. Food I thought was a really good standard, and the staff in restaurants was very professional and welcoming. A special thanks to Santiago and the other supervisor at the counter (bold with glasses - I am sorry I don't remember your name) you both really made our experience here outstanding! If we come back we hope you take care of us again because we were so impressed at how well you did your job! Reception was okay but could be more willing to explain where the apartments are and maybe do a little tour or hand out a map of all hotel facilities (restaurant, bars, swimming pools and etc). Thanks to Andy at the reception - we have checked out at night time, and been taken to restaurant for super early breakfast. Rooms - we have stayed at the apartment for 3 people, it was a good size apartment with a balcony to the street view. When we arrived, our apartment was clean and towels have been changed daily (the only one minus is that floors have never been cleaned while we stayed there, and we have stayed for 4 nights) Hotel is in a fantastic location with everything in easy reach. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will return.

Just returned from a girls holiday for 4 nights and can only speak highly of this hotel. After reading the negative reviews before we arrived, I was a little concerned but upon arrival and throughout our stay, the hotel, location and staff were fabulous. We stayed in the Suites across the road but used the main hotel for breakfast and the pool area, which was stunning overlooking the bay of Palmanova - perfect location and within walking distance to the many bars and restaurants - would definitely recommend this to family and friends, perfect.
