Do not stay here!!!!!! BED BUGS!!!!!! GROTTY!!!!! The photos on *********** were completely misleading. The carpet had been removed but nothing done to the boards, they were dirty and horrible, you couldn't not wear shoes, thank god I took my flip flops. The decor - grotty, the furniture - grotty, the linen - grotty and worn and frayed. But worst of all there were bed bugs!!!!!!! Utterly disgusting, do not under any circumstances stay here. I don't understand how they are allowed to stay open!

The stay we had for 1 night was far from good. Started with keys not fitting the room so we couldn't get in, owner not on site so he called another 'guest' who got us entry and said we were given the wrong keys (although the owner denied this). Got in the room about 8.30pm after a long day and the roadworks directly outside started hammering away with pneumatic drills until about 10.30pm even with the windows closed it was deafening! Spoke to the foreman outside and apparently all properties received written notification of this, but we were not informed. TV in the room was next to useless as the picture went every few minutes with the NO SIGNAL message. Clock on the wall inoperative as apparently owner took battery out as it was too noisy! what about a digital bedside clock?? Kettle in the room and tea bags, but no milk or sugar so useless again. WIFI was easy to connect to but it kept disconnecting on Android and IOS devices, so useless. It is a good 20 minute walk to the centre so a bit of a hike but this is not the hotel's fault but some 'reviews' have said it's 10 mins, yeah by taxi maybe. Plus points: shower was good and room a good size, just a bit tatty.
