Ok so this has to be the best B&B I’ve ever stayed at, the host was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic as was my room, very well kitted out. I have to mention the bath tho as I felt like a rockstar lying in it lol. I will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely fantastic B&B. Spotlessly clean, spacious, with the added bonus of a lounge for your own personal use. John was very friendly and cooks a super breakfast. Lots of wee added extras. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Campbeltown.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights at Gowanlea Heights. This is without a doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed in. John was very forgiving when we had requested an early check in but didn’t arrive until 6 pm. The double room was perfect for our needs. I’d note that the bathroom, although private, is not ensuite but this didn’t bother us. Gowns are provided to wear should they be required. In fact, John and David have thought of everything a guest could possibly need and have it available. The breakfast and other food and drink offerings are incredible…from crisps to cakes and fruit and bars plus more. Even chocolate treats! There is a separate lounge/dining room for your private use (and a tv in the bedroom). We ate a takeaway dinner here one evening. John was very helpful with travel suggestions and they have a great selection of books on local places to visit. In fact the pre arrival communication was really helpful, especially restaurant recommendations which required reservations. I highly recommend booking and staying here.

John Is an amazing host. The accommodation Is outstanding and only made better by our hosts warmth and attention to detail. It’s is Immaculately clean and comfortable, with every want & need taken care off in advance. The separate lounge area is a great social space for those travelling in a small group to relax in. Don'think of staying anywhere else if you are visiting Campbeltown. Perfect in every way with super rooms and a super breakfast. Nice and quiet and an easy walk to pubs & restaurants in town. Host cannot do enough for you and would highly recommend and will definetely stay again

This B&B is highly recommendable. The owners have it super organized and the service is excellent. So if you are visiting Campbeltown, this is the place to stay. The house has a very nice architecture the rooms are nicely decorated. Last but not least, the breakfast is superb.

This place is just amazing like a hidden gem in Campbeltown. Great location close to everyting and very calm area. This must be the best accomodation in central Campbeltown with the greatest hosts. Everything is spotless and an extra nice touch with all snacks and cookies. I'll be back with my wife in May.

I travel alot for work and with family and have to say this is the absolute best hotel I have ever stayed in, in Scotland and the world! The facilities are spotlessly clean, the attention to detail is absolutely Incredible. Lots of lovely little details to make you smile. Snacks, treats and useful items galore. I don't want to spoil the surprises but they really have thought of everything. Wonderful hosts, peaceful surroundings and the most fluffy dog on hand for cuddles. I will definitely be booking again . Thank you for a delightful and super relaxing stay!

We stayed for 3 nights as a party of 4 and were very impressed throughout. The location is only a few minutes walk from the town centre and the property offers off road parking which we were allowed to use prior to our check in time. The owners John and Davie were superb and responded quickly to any questions or requests when we asked either in person or via text while we were out. The breakfast menu was excellent, well prepared and quality ingredients, preordering the night before by 8pm was no issue at all for service between7.30am-8.30am. The drinks and food available in the lounge throughout our stay were excellent and went above and beyond our expectations. The cake on our final day was a pleasant surprise and appreciated by all. The rooms, bathroom and lounge were very well decorated and equipped with all you could wish for, the lounge TV having lots of packages to keep us entertained during some stormy weather. The experience of staying at Gowanlea certainly enhanced our short visit to the area. Highly recommended to anyone looking to stay in Campbeltown.
