We visited My Khanh Village expecting a family-friendly park with a good mix of activities, authentic cultural experiences, and a chance to see local animals in a caring environment. Unfortunately, the visit was deeply disappointing. The park overall appeared poorly maintained. Despite the high cost of entry, most attractions required additional fees, making it feel overpriced. The only highlights were the colorful slide (available for an extra charge) and the crocodile pond, where feeding the crocodiles offered a rare moment of animal interaction that felt natural. The treatment of animals in the park was shocking and unacceptable. We witnessed small monkeys chained to short leashes, forced to perform circus tricks under the threat of a whip. The monkeys looked frightened and distressed, and we left the show early in disgust. The so-called “zoo” consists of small cages housing mostly birds, without adequate space or stimulation for the animals. The craft village is misleading—it offered no local crafts or traditional activities, instead selling cheap trinkets and helium balloons. The beautifully decorated observation tower was unsafe, with missing railings in one area that left a dangerous fall completely exposed. The water adventure section is an obstacle course set in muddy canal water which seems unhealthy to fall into. While the staff were friendly, the level of service didn’t meet the high standards that you expect in Vietnam. Dining options were particularly disappointing. The main restaurant area was almost empty, with no staff present to assist or encourage visitors to dine. After reading poor reviews of the restaurant, we opted to eat elsewhere. Overall, My Khanh Village did not deliver value for the high cost of entry. To attract tourists, they should at least improve on: • Modern zoo animal welfare practices. • Basic safety for tall attractions. • Offer genuine cultural and traditional activities with explanatory signs. • More choices of snacks and street foods. • Liquid soap in restrooms. In its current state, this park does not meet basic expectations and cannot be recommended if you are looking for something else than feeding crocodiles or sliding the tall slide 20 times.
