Myself and daughter stayed for 1 night for a concert. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome. All the staff were so friendly, the room was clean with lovely view of the castle. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is in the city centre, so its very noisy but if you book a room here then you should already know, its glorious inside, it's massive! Loved the continent location of the hotel across the road is the castle too, very close to the train station loved all the convince. Rooms need a refurb but the hotel staff do a wonderful job of cleaning. Bed is super comfy and the room is quite big, TV is basic freeview.

The location of this hotel is perfect. The room was comfortable and clean. It’s such a beautiful hotel but does need a revamp to give if a bit of love. The lift wasn’t working but they were happy to help me with my suitcases to the 3rd floor.

I got upgrade from the hotel, near from everywhere

The hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment. There is peeling window frames and wallpaper and the lifts don't work - not for the old and infirm. The room we were given was on the second floor and we were told it was overlooking the Castle which we couldn't see through dirty windows. Its a shame really as the hotel is very much part of Cardiff's history but you get the impression that the owners are just making-do presumably because the cost of bringing the hotel up to date will cost millions - sorry won't be back

Stayed here as great location for winter wonderland. Asked for a room with a view if possible as it was a special trip and had a lovely view of the castle all lit up for Christmas

Stay here for a night but the service is beyond my expectations. I got a free upgrade to the larger room than what I've reserved with three beds, castle view through the window, they brought my luggage to the 3rd floor for free as well cause there's no lift in the hotel. Perfect, would recommend you to stay here!

I had a really good stay at The Angel hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was huge, comfortable and clean. I definitely recommend.

Had a lovely stay, staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely view of the castle. Beds were very comfortable and clean, room was spacious. Breakfast was lovely good selection only complaint was the coffee was not good, stewed in a big urn. Will visit again hopefully coffee will improve. 😊

Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Quiet and great beds, just what you need after walking around Cardiff. Shame lift was broke but they were working on fixing that. Lovely breakfast.

Great location and service. Everything i needed was provided. The only issues I had were to do with the way the room is, rather than the amenities. There aren't sockets near the beds and the lighting in the room is very harsh and not very adjustable. An addition of a lamp(s) would solve this. A fan in the bathroom would probably help improve the air and help the room stay together/prevent water damage. I was moved to a double room instead of my booked double single room at no extra cost and I ended up traveling with one less traveller and this was greatly appreciated. The cleaning staff were very friendly as well!

Location was 10/10, couldn’t have asked for a better base while in Cardiff. Room was clean, bed was comfy and a good size. Decor was a tad dated and could do with a bit of TLC, but nothing was broken and everything was more than fit for purpose. 10/10 stay for the budget.
