Easy Hotel is basic but easy to find, I got a basement one. It was neat and tidy but had funny smell, bed was comfy and everything worked fine. I am a big guy, so it felt a little small, easy checking in and out. Happy to hold my bag, Very very reasonably priced. Coffee shop and Wetherspoon around the corner for breakfast.

Room was fine, bed comfortable, wifi worked well. The food seems to be less good than previously. No marmalade! Brown bread of poor quality. Enjoyed the pancake machine though! Staff very helpful and pleasant, and I liked the luggage room service- that was very useful. I will probably stay there again- it's good value for the price asked and is in a central location. Thank you

Staff is very friendly and helpful! In the morning I check out the lady at the counter offered to help me store my luggage so I can take a look at the city without burden. The waiter in the restaurant upstairs is also helpful that he helps take the meal downstairs for me for takeaway(but I still suggest them to get paper boxes for food delivery). However after asking for toothbrush at night the staff forgot to bring me one so I have to get down to take it. Overall nice, will revisit next time!

Great central location, staff pleasant and rooms clean. Noise from bar next door so loud couldn’t hear TV unless up very loud. Website does mention noise but prices almost on par with other hotels and less facilities

Spotlessly clean is my first impression of these apartments, followed by well equipped, neat and concise. We had great views of the river. It was quiet. The windows don't open which I was relieved about because we have a child but there is cooling air con in rooms. We had a 2 bedroom which felt really spacious for the 3 of us. I woukd stay again. We didn't spend much time in Newport as used it as a base.

Just got back from a golf and spa weekend as a group of 6. Reception service really good. Room was lovely. Bed was a bit hard for me but partner liked it (personal preference). The men had golf included and us women had the spa included. As far as I know, the lads enjoyed the golf course- preferred the PGA course over the Lake course. They did say it is a long walk especially if you’re older and less able- I would recommend buggies! The spa was lovely, provided with robes, slippers and a towel. We had a 50 min treatment included. I had the facial and back massage which was really relaxing! Bar service was brilliant. Drinks not too pricey unless you want cocktails. On to our 3 course evening meal we had included. You have a set menu if your 3 course meal is included in your package. Fair few things to choose from. The food was lovely- we had the steak which was really good and all cooked to our liking. Cannot fault the food at all, however, the service- although really friendly, it was extremely slow. Our table was at 8.30 and we didn’t leave the restaurant till gone 11.30, this wasn’t down to sitting talking- this was from waiting between each course. We were all so stuffed and as you can imagine wasn’t too pleased eating such a huge meal so late. We had breakfast in the morning which was buffet. The breakfast was spot on, help yourself to full cooked breakfast or continental (yogurts, cereals, pastries)- all yummy. The man who came round offering tea or coffee was really efficient and friendly. You can also help yourself to a selection of juices. Our second day although we weren’t allowed to go in the spa which we initially thought we had included, we could use the leisure facilities (wet facilities) including the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We were able to shower after as you get given a towel. Overall we all really enjoyed our weekend!

The pillows were very comfy like putting ypur head on marshmallows, the room had a lovely view and was perfectly located for our stay.

Perfect Hotel to explore Cardiff! Really central. Lovely friendly staff. In fact every single person we met in Cardiff was so so friendly! Couldn't believe how quiet it was in the rooms considering we were there on a Six Nations weekend. Superb security on a Six Nations weekend that ensured only residents could access the Hotel. The rooms are compact, but perfectly formed, you have everything you need!! Bed was super comfy too! We didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment on that, but I would highly recommend this great Hotel. We would absolutely return!

Just returned from a 3 night stay, was in Cardiff for a family wedding. Have to say the staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. Wedding was on Friday and the maltsters arms very kindly allowed us to have dinner with them on Saturday night, there was 18 of us!!! Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff for the most amazing food, from starters to desserts and delicious drinks and cocktails 5 stars. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. The manager sorry can’t remember your name, was friendly and helpful. Lastly to Ben for his hospitality and professionalism in helping to book us all in on Saturday night, it was a wonderful ending to all of our trip to beautiful Cardiff. Excellent location. Spotlessly clean rooms. Certainly a room with a view from floor 14. Fast elevators. All areas clean and tidy. Bed comfortable and big. Staff professional and friendly. Super large TV, plenty of sockets including USB ports. Fab shower/bathroom.
