The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful with all our questions. The room was wonderful, bathroom was very well decorated and a very ample shower with plenty of hot water and abundant stream. Breakfast was delicious and kitchen staff was very friendly.. All and all an excellent choice if you want to experience the old town as everything is nearby on foot.

Don't walk, run from this place. We had a family reunion this week (15 of us) and we didn't have running water for toilets, sinks or showers for 4 of the 7 days. One room had terrible air conditioning, one room had a broken air conditioner and room 1 by the pool had gaps big enough that pool water flows into the room after any splashing. The staff were nice but they kept telling us that they had fixed or replaced the water pump at least 8 times and it still kept going on and off until we left. The last 2 days there was running water for probably 2 hours total. They gave us a complimentary dinner for our inconvenience but that was too little too late particularly since we hadn't had water all day up to the dinner and never got it back until 10am the next day which is when we checked out. I could just go on and on about our family's frustrations but I think you get the point.

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! My booking that I have done 6 month in advance on Booking for January was cancelled 2 weeks before my arrival, without any notice, message or explanation and for no reason. This is completely unacceptable and not professional for a hotel. Such behaviour makes me in trouble as now I have to find a new hotel during high season in Cartagena.

The first day we got here the television did not work we spoke with management and they gave us the excuse that everyone in the villa television was out due to the weather, which we found out from other people that were in our party that that was not true. Additionally, that first night we saw a lot of bugs in our room and noticed that the room was not that clean. However, we just thought we could deal with it. As the days went on it got worse. The very next day, we saw a bugs crawling on the bed so we told someone upfront and they said they would check into it. We were out all day came in that evening and was still very leery about going to sleep. Fast-forward to the third day there again we wake and I take a picture of the bugs on the bed to the manager on duty and she said they would send the exterminator. By the way, the exterminator or maintenance person happen to be standing right there, and she mentioned to him right there in my presence for him to spray the room after she saw the picture. We were out very long that day and when we came back I was getting ready to lay down for the night, I moved my pillows and the bed was infested with dead bugs, so I’m assuming they must’ve sprayed but they were everywhere. My husband again told the guy that was on duty at night and he felt so bad. He tried to clean it up and change the sheets but that was just not going to work. Therefore we left in the middle of the night and walked down about four buildings to another hotel where we were able to check in and had a very wonderful experience there for the rest of our trip, I would steer clear of this place! They have bedbugs and plenty other bugs crawling around! The manager the day after we left wanted to blame us for leaving and of course they refuse to give us any money back which is fine because my peace of mind and my health is worth more than staying in a place with bedbugs!

Prepare to be scammed! I made my reservation through ***********. Told BuGo the dates I wanted. They wrote back confirming wrong dates. I wrote again clarifying dates. They confirmed again with a different set of wrong dates. Third time, I said if they couldn't get the dates right, I needed to find another hotel. They replied that they had no availability on one of the nights we needed. We indeed booked a different hotel, and now BuGo is charging us for the one night!!! They insist that they charge for cancellations. Apparently even when the cancellations are their own! I've had no luck with them; *********** has had no luck. I have never had an experience like this before. I hope I never do again.

Ein sehr schönes Altstadt-Hotel mit viel Charme, nettem Innenpool und leckerem Frühstück. Man ist zu Fuß rasch in der Altstadt. Grundsätzlich zu empfehlen, ABER: Mein Zimmer am Pool roch feucht und modrig (was man durch Verdampfer mit Duftöl zu verdecken versuchte; ich musste daheim fast alles, auch im Koffer, waschen wg. Modergeruch). Dieses Zimmer 1 ist eigentlich unbewohnbar, wenn nicht renoviert wird!!! Dann war der Pool leider 2 Tage wg Arbeiten rundherum nicht nutzbar. Es war sehr laut und nicht an Nachmittsgsruhe zu denken. Und bei Abholung der Koffer am letzten Tag durfte ich nicht einmal auf das WC in der Nähe der Rezeption, aus welchen Gründen auch immer.
