Media Luna Hostel Cartagena

Un très joli hostel équipé d'une piscine et de jeux à plusieurs. Les chambres sont biens conçues avec tous les équipements modernes (clim, casiers)

Air Cond only from 7pm to 9pm but not possible to control it. If you want to stop it during the night, not possible. We got sick. A lot of noise with the music really loud all day long No water in the bathroom for one day

This property is wildly terrible. Doors? no locks. Windows? Also don't lock. Bathroom? Like a prison. Except without the amenities. They do have air conditioning but you have no control over it and there is only a thin sheet on the bed I was SHIVERING all night. The man who runs the front desk at night is rude, condescending, arrogant... We left after 1 night

I only arrived late and I had to leave the next day again, but it felt like a very, nice clean and social hostel. The staff was very nice and friendly, and it was a realatively cheap hostel. Also It was very nice that the breakfast

Wanted to see how back packers travel. Very nice travelers from Europe and America. Will back pack after this experience.

I stayed in Media Luna hostel in January. On my first night, I had a problem with a man in my dorm room so I went to the reception to ask for help. FIVE times I went to the reception and the man told me there was nothing he could do to help me and that I had to wait until around 10pm for the night manager to come and then he might be able to help me. As a young, solo female traveller I was feeling very upset and uncomfortable, the reception were no help at all so I decided to book a hotel room. As I was leaving for the hotel room, the night manager arrived and said that the man who I had a problem with would be kicked out of the hostel when he arrived back (at this point the man had gone out for the night). Luckily, I still went to the hotel room because when the man came back he was let in and, due to a member of staff telling a resident what was going on (as well as telling them my name and age which is confidential information), she began a fight and beat him to the point that he had to go to hospital. The police got involved and it was all quite a frightening experience. Therefore, I would really advise females travelling to Cartagena to avoid this hostel as you will not be given any help in these situations and they do not protect your private information.

unfortunately not what it seems that it has used to be positive: pool, nice courtyard, fine breakfast, nice and big terrace negative: not really an a**osphere, stuff was not really helpful nor speaked English, also didn´t give recommendations what to do, also they put 60 y. old man and 20 year old woman together in a room although there were many free rooms in the whole hostel. Not okay. Bathroom facilities were not really clean.

Tuvimos dos días sin agua con el hostel lleno y no se arregló el tema. Los baños estaban mugrientos, no nos podíamos bañar y tampoco lavar los dientes. Ibas a pedir agua para lavarte los dientes y te la seguían cobrando. El personal no daba respuestas a nada y muy poco colaborativo. Además, las sabanas de las camas estaban sucias y también manchadas. El aire acondicionado de nuestra habitación no funcionaba, reclamamos varias veces y no lo arreglaron. Las paredes de los cuartos se caían a pedazos. No le recomiendo a nadie este hostel.

J'y ai séjourné 2 fois et mon expérience à été la même : Médiocre. Heureusement que le staff change puisque mis à part leur non amabilité, il m'a été très compliqué d'avoir une bouteille d'eau, alors que le frigo était rempli. De plus, les informations données n'étaient jamais correctes (terminal de bus, banques, visites ...). Pour finir, impossible de fermer l’œil de la nuit a cause du non respect du couvre feu (les 2 fois). Points forts : Très bien situé et safe
