Borgo San Felice

A stellar property in the heart of Tuscany. The Borgo which was a small little town in its past life is simply perfect. It feels quiet and relaxing even in the middle of high season. Our grand suite was incredible; it had a large terrace with a dining table, lounge chairs and sofas with the most beautiful view of the vines and cipreses. My daughter and I enjoying painting there very much; we had fun family dinners in and sunset Negronis. The Grand suite was extremely spacious; large king bedroom; living room, dining room and a perfect twin bedroom in suite for the kids. Felt like our own house with the perks of all the amenities and delicious food and drinks. Food and drinks by the pool and casual restaurant were great and my daughter absolutely loved the gelato. Highly recommend and would love to come back! Thank you Anna and the team for an unforgettable week!

Incredible stay. We enjoyed the views, the wine tasting, the bikes, the food, the garden, the service, and the donkeys. It’s such a wonderful place I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and I hope to go back. The rooms are excellent and well maintained.

Borgo San Felice is a very beautiful hotel, with rooms spread across the “village” buildings. We liked our room, with its large bathroom, although due to the historical nature of the hotel few have balconies. We ate at their simpler restaurant and the food was good. Despite its lovely position the hotel did not seem to take full advantage of the views, particularly in the pool area. Breakfast was rather disappointing. We ordered freshly cooked scrambled eggs and bacon from the a la carte menu, but these were simply taken from the warmer in the buffet, and were rubbery and lukewarm. Apart from that, a good stay overall, but be prepared for an expensive stay, as drinks and food are priced accordingly.

Very nice hotel complex, but terrible service in the restaurant and no response from hotel management to complaints, even though reception had promised that the general manager would get in touch. This level is absolutely not in line with a five-star category. Other guests had similar experiences at the same time. We cannot recommend the hotel.

So close to a 5/5 ; if I could give a 4.5 I would. I won't repeat all the gushing review, other than to say the place is beautiful, centrally located, great facilities, peaceful setting, and I would go back. We stayed three nights. The one area they MUST improve to garner 5/5 is their service in the restaurant and breakfast. I realize Italians eat meals at a slower pace, and I'm not referring to that. But our wait staff was often undertrained, ill-informed ("no we don't have herbal tea") and overwhelmed. At breakfast the omelette station was crushed, it was difficult to get a cappuccino served in a timely way. We had dinner at Osteria del Grigio and there was much confusion over our order, everything came at once, and then we never saw the staff again (no more wine, no dessert, no after dinner drinks, etc.) I had to get up and ask for the check after trying to get a server's attention. Housekeeping did a great job, service at front desk was efficient and friendly. Valet parking was swift. One last critical observation. We went in the afternoon to the pool. Many people had left, and sitting behind were dirty towels and drink glasses. And they had run out of towels. And no seats that were "open". Clearly people had left. We found this condition on two different afternoons. When we asked, they brought towels and cleaned up a bit. No pool service for drinks, which is fine because the walk to the bar is close. But not something you'd find at other high-end resorts. And while you get used to high prices, $25 for a poolside Pimm's cup seemed kind of steep? A round of drinks for the four of us $100. Yikes.

An outstanding wonderful experience to be had in the heart of Tuscany every turn you take at this spread out property you find hidden treasures, two unique restaurants, a variety of wonderful bedrooms, and most importantly, charming and efficient personnel, lead by the very professional and hard-working director of the hotel Patrizia who’s attention to detail reflected through the whole of the property.Patrizia is a credit to the hotel and hospitality industry and a true ambassador for this property. This really is an oasis in the middle of Tuscany, and it made an exceptional place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. 10 out of 10 and we can’t wait to return. Thomas Noblett

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful place. It was a last minute decision to go here, and the booking was made by phone only 1 hour before arrival. But when we arrived the rooms were ready, cookies, drinks and a hand written note was waiting for us. The place is incredible and the staff is was professional and service minded. We used the pool and fitness center. We took the tour of the winery. We will definitely be back soon!

Heaven on earth. Every facet of the stay was beyond expectations. Will definitely return.

I can’t say enough about this wonderful borgo in Tuscany. The grounds are immaculate , the staff extremely friendly and accommodating, the food is fabulous and our suite was luxurious. We were a family of 4 adults and stayed in the L’Uliveta suite. The property is so quaint and picturesque, every turn was another amazing photo. We had a car and were able to drive to small towns for dinners each night within 15 mins. And it was only 1hr 30 from Florence, so the perfect location for us to explore. I highly recommend booking a wine tasting tour. We did several at other wineries and the wine at Borgo San Felice was the best! Can’t wait for our case to arrive that they shipped to the US for us along w their delicious olive oil. Overall and wonderful choice for a quiet , luxurious stay out in Chianti.
