Hotel 2 Bintang di Chamonix

We spent a week in February for ski holiday and our stay at the hotel was top expereince! We travel a lot for work and stayed in many hotels, but nothing like this. Hotel has traditional French charm and is conveniently located in the very city center on the pedestrian street, the bus station for ski buses is located just at the back of the hotel. Room was renovated and modern, very clean and with amazing view to Mont Blanc. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. But the most important advantage of the hotel - owners and staff are extremely hospitable and joyful and we felt like real guests, not just as customers. All this made our stay unforgettable, so no doubt at our next visit we will stay again there.

Another great stay. Rooms are basic, staff are friendly, breakfast is excellent, location couldnt be better. Top tip, use the free ski bus passes the hotel give you to use the train for free rather than the ski bus. The train is far more comfortable, less busy, and quicker. The train leaves chamonix Station, which is a straight and flat 350m walk from the hotel at 0828, 0928 and 1028, continuing on the hour. For Le Tour get off at Vallorcine and take the gondola up the mountain, 2 min walk. The train returns from here at 10 past the hour. For Argentiere it's a 400m easy walk to the grand montets lift from the station. For flegere and brevent get off at la praz, it's 150m from the station to the flegere lift. We've been to chamonix many times but never used the train, it's massively improved our trip. Game changer.

BED BUGS!! I was bitten ,all over,, no acknowledgement or action from Vert Lodge , nor compensation offered (I contacted them 3 times) & they continue to let the pods (Room 19 bed 6) was my location. Such a real shame as the location, breakfast, coffee, staff on site were all very good, but even if you’re the Hilton & have BED BUGS (photos attached) that is unacceptable!! I had read previous reviews but ignored them thinking someone was unlucky or it would have been dealt with by now, but it is still a MAJOR PROBLEM! It spoilt my holiday as I couldn’t take selfies, go to a spa or swim due to the unsightliness of the bites. The pods were a lot shabbier looking than the photos portrayed & I spent the 1st night being kept awake all night by some young lad called Andy being sick in both bathrooms, having drank too much. NEVER in my youth hostel travelling experience, which is wide & extensive, have I ever experienced BED BUGS or such unacceptable behaviour.

Genialissime !!!L'équipe de l'auberge est accueillante et toujours prête à renseigner les clients. L'auberge est propre ,le ménage est fait tous les jours,tout es bien aménagé.ptit déjeuner au top bien complet,le repas du soir trop bon fait par des vrais cuistot...merci a tout le personnel, Le cadre ,l'endroit est convivial, le paysage magnifique et concernant les activités que vous proposez genialissime !Très satisfaite dans l'ensemble. Je recommande vivement.surtout si vous êtes seule et êtes ici pour faire des rencontres c'est un bel endroit. Quite good apartment, good views, a bit west facing (a bit dark in the mornings). They left us with the freezer door broken and therefore inoperative. Parking limited to vehicles 1'85 meters max.

The place is simple with a parking space. The bathroom is functional. The Avre makes a bit of noise but you get used to it pretty quickly. What a view of the Brévent and Planpraz !!!
