Ulasan Wenjunlou Courtyard·Food Hotel (Kuanzhai Alley Tonghuimen Subway Station)

The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive housekeeping and concierge services, every interaction was professional and friendly. They were prompt to assist with our luggages the moment our car stopped in front of the hotel. Frank the manager and Bel were always ready to assist with a smile. Their attention to detail and genuine care for guests made us feel valued and well taken care of throughout our stay.

The service at Wenjunlou was fantastic, the staff were so friendly and helpful... nothing was too much trouble and they were able to help arrange Opera tickets and a car to Leshan for the day. We ate at the restaurant for dinner both nights; food was delicious and well priced. The hotel is very iconic with the balcony and rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was great and we also enjoyed walking through the Culture park and adjacent Palace. Would happily recommend staying here.

This hotel is amazing! Frank met us the day we arrived and upgraded us to a family room for better comfort and views. He helped me deal with a booking issue for a tour and gave us great advice on where to spend our free time. He even sent fruit to the room on our arrival. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was great (the heated toilet seat was the best toilet I've ever used lol). The building is a very traditional old style Chinese building set amongst many other similar buildings. The restaurant has great food at great prices, too. There were markets directly across the street. The opera was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The best hot pot street was 5 minutes walk. And the hutongs (? Traditional street markets) were only a 10 minute, leisurely walk away. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone and would like to thank Frank for his amazing, above and beyond service.

Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. They insisted to help us with the luggage even though we could manage on our own. The room was spotlessly clean. Kids toothbrush and disposable slippers are provided which made my children inclusive. Location was walking distance (less than 10 mins) from Tonghuimen station. Special thanks to Joey and Kimberly for making our stay a memorable one.

The hotel is Amazing, traditional style,located in the famous Kuan zhai alley right in front of the Famous sichuan opera house that is one of the best things to see in Chengdu , it's also near the metro and people's park. cleanliness,calmness, free laundry,amazing teahouse and a good restaurant... The manager Frank, and the staff counter Kimberley ，belle ,Zoey and the others are more like a family with their excellent service Their dedication is what makes this place more than just a hotel to help the foreigners overcome the challenges of communication in China. I highly recommend this hotel for every traveller not only foreigners And i will certainly book again in Wenjunloo

I stayed in this hotel twice over a week. They kindly held my luggage for a couple of days while I visited another area. It was clean and comfortable. Frank, Kimberley, Zoey and the crew were super helpful and made my visit to Chengdu very easy.

Love the location: 5 mins walk to train station, walking distance to kuan Zhai alley, right opposite the 川剧 Good service: helpful counter staff with WeChat support Good food with reasonable price. Breakfast has good varieties too. Note: hotel only have staircase, 4 levels. Request for ground floor if it’s easier for you

We were greeted by very friendly and warm staff upon arrival. This is a hotel we were not sure while booking as we came from a luxury resort. The first night I was planning to move to another one. But wow, what a service and warmth we received. The homey feel Frank and his staff worked hard for has paid it off. The breakfast and dinner was so yummy that we ordered more than we needed! At the time of checking out, we made a decision that we will come back again! Thank you Frank and team! Great work !

The location is really good - close to metro and on really beautiful street. Restaurant is really good - we tried eat out as well, but this restaurant was much better. It is clean and personal is really nice and helpful. Also provides free laundry service.

I had a completely delightful stay! It was situated in a quaint and attractive street thats quite close to your tourist places of interests like the kuanzhai alley and renmin park etc. They nailed it with the first impressions, picking up our lugguage for us and warmly invited us to the reception complete with a cup of ginger(?) tea, which was such a relief cuz the weather was freezing. The checkin was also complete with a brochure of the local map and destinations. The front desk is 24/7 and really helpful, props to the 2/3 guys at reception that was always polite, friendly and spoke good English too. I got their hotel wechat and requested them to help me collect some delivery packages which they were friendly to help. Another great thing here was the laundry service, collected, done, and delivered to your room! Completely blown away. Of course not all hotels are perfect, the room being pretty big, the heater doesn't really heat the area at the bed during winter time. The door had a small (non-visible) gap at the bottom that cold wind could blow in from which we plugged with some cushions and that solved our heating issue. The views from the windows were basically non-existent, but we didn't really have any expectations or issues with that. They had a tea area at the corridor that seemed nice but we never used, the courtyard was pretty nice and chinese though. If looking to stay at chengdu, this hotel is a great consideration! Usually I settle for the lowest cost and most convenient hotels when travelling, as me and my gf would be out the whole day anyways. We took a (small) gamble with this hotel paying a little extra because it looked pretty cool, and i'm glad that we spent the extra dollars :)

Good services and extremely friendly staff. Room is big and clean. Heater in the room really keeps you comfortable during the winter. Offers a unique experience from the usual hotel accommodation.
