The hotel’s service, location, and cleanliness are all fantastic — staff were friendly and attentive, and everything was spotless. The location is very convenient, close to nearby attractions and transport options. However, my room was facing the roadside, and it was quite noisy at night. There seems to be no soundproofing, so traffic sounds can be disturbing. Another issue is that the room doesn’t have night curtains — only sheer ones that let in a lot of light. This is actually the first hotel I’ve stayed in without proper blackout curtains, and as a result, the room stayed bright even at night, making it hard to get a comfortable rest. Overall, it’s a great hotel in many aspects, but light sleepers might find it difficult to rest well due to noise and lack of light-blocking curtains.

Nice location and super friendly staffs. The room is big and comfortable. Good qaulity and delicious breaksfast and totally love the make to order idea, it certainly helps to reduce food wastage.

The hotel is pretty close to all the tourist attractions and restaurants in the old city. The front desk service is excellent. However the room size is relatively compact but clean. The hotel serves excellent breakfast. The only inconvenience is that the guests are required to change to slippers whenever they enter the guest rooms(expensive hard wood floors)!

Wonderful place. Some of the high rate hotel doesn’t really good. This one is really good. We have honeymoon here for one day, hotel prepare a romantic room for us. Thank you. The breakfast is as good as you see.

Very clean and quiet. The service was great. The breakfast was delicious.

Nice room. We book the deluxe type but there were no view on the windows. (Room 202). There was a construction noise sometimes when we stayed. The only best thing about this hotel is the location. It is saturated right in the small alley direct to the Royal temple. Walking distance to Sunday walking street. Ash tray in the smoking area and garbage box had never been cleaned for 4 nights we stayed. Breakfast was Ala Carte. It’s okay. Nothing fancy.

Spent time with my wife in this beautiful cozy hotel. The staff was very friendly and the hotel looks stunning. The breakfast was OK. The middle part of the hotel where reception is, looks almost like a temple, surrounded by a garden with water, koi fish and greenery. Surrounding this area are seats for the restaurant. If you have time, please go check the upstairs library. Very nice architecture. Will stay here again if we have a chance.

Quaint & charming hotel. Very quiet despite being in a busy location. Very friendly staff, providing excellent service. Located very near some must-see sightseeing attractions and shopping areas. Lacking certain amenities like a swimming pool and a gym. Wi-fi can be improved. Overall, very happy we chose this hotel. Will return.

Good place and good vibe

The best hotel I have ever lived with great environment and breakfast. The location is pretty good which is nearby tha pha gate. Many restaurants and bars are nearby too

Overall a good stay and very value for the money. We stayed as a couple. Not exactly great for families esp with young kids. Staff are very attentive and housekeeping is done meticulously. Location is in the old quarters and though in the centre of town, actually during the weekend night markets, it can be quite inaccessible to get to via vehicles. And actually the authentic food and tourist experiential areas are outside of town. It’s 4 stars so don’t expect 5 star for 4 star price - e.g like no hair conditioner. Only key gripe was we stayed on the 1st floor and the floors upstairs ware build quite hollow so you can get woken up by late night or early morning footsteps above us. Breakfast was average and would encourage to take the hotel packages without breakfast as there are plenty of cheaper and tastier options nearby like “Blue Noodles” for local and “Kati” for western.

For the past two years in Chiang Mai, I've stayed at the Makka Hotel. I love the Lanna-style design that blends seamlessly with nature and greenery. The simple white walls and black wood create a spacious and refreshing feel. The service is excellent; they are always responsive and patient. The breakfast was fantastic—I gained weight from it! Privacy and security are both excellent. The library on the second floor is amazing, a true paradise. I didn't give the facilities a perfect score because there's no swimming pool, but honestly, I also checked out the highly-rated Sri Lanna Hotel nearby, and it was cramped and outdated, with a small and insecure pool. I'm glad I didn't book that one. Cleanliness: 5 stars. Environment: 5 stars. Service: 6 stars.

The room was very unhygienic, the bed sheets were yellow and there were a lot of long hairs. When I communicated with the hotel, the service attitude was very poor. They asked us to go out and find another hotel in the middle of the night, which was outrageous!
