Great location at the heart of old city. Love that everything in the minibar is complimentary & replenished daily + free high tea served 2-4pm daily. The lobby is filled with a lovely scent that just uplifts your day. The pool was under maintenance for 2-3 days of our stay; as compensation we were given 2 small rice crackers lol.

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely establishment recently and I must say that the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect place for relaxation. The decoration is stunning, with a unique style that I have never seen before. The staff were very attentive and even brought coconut water to my room shortly after check-in, which was a refreshing touch. The breakfast spread was delicious with a wide variety of options to choose from, and the availability of a juicer for fresh juices was a great addition that I appreciated. In the afternoon, there was a tea corner with a delightful selection of sweets and small cakes that were not only delicious but also presented in an aesthetically pleasing manner. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that these treats were provided for free. Overall, I was very impressed by my stay and will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Out of the lobby you can walk to the Night Bazaar immediately. About 7 minutes walk to the Food Market where there's live music performances. Monday to Friday are the best nights while Sunday most of the restaurants are closed. About 30 minutes walk from the right side of the lobby you can reach the Old Ciity Wall. It is romantic with the night lighting. There's quite a selection of western, Thai and Chinese food from the hotel breakfast buffet.

Actually it is my second time staying at this hotel. The rooms have good A/C, shower, bath products, like toothbrushing sets. Comfortable bed, and a decent breakfast with a variety of products/meals. There is kind of a ”moldy” smell from the carpets, but it did not bother me so much since I was traveling outside the hotel most of the time.

Stayed another 2 times here, with the rellies. One night when we arrived from Bangkok, the other night when we were heading back to Bangkok. The first night when we went inside the room it seemed like it was full of mosquitoes, certainly plenty of them!! I went down to reception and asked for some insect spray, but the staff insisted that a maintenance person do the deed. He arrived, bent down under the lounge room bench and gave a quick spray, towards the floor!! When he stood up again I took the can and sprayed around the room and bathroom for him. We went out for dinner and when we came back all the pests had gone; Magic!! The second night was fine, for once. Just under 1,000 baht for the 2 nights, so getting cheaper too.

Me and my husband are traveling with our dog so finding a pet friendly stay in Thailand is a bit more tricky. I found Pha-Thai house and we stayed first for 9 days but ended up extended for 4 more days. I recommend this hotel it is absolutely beautiful. The staff is great and so helpful. Our dog felt at home and they even have their own dog that our dog got to play with. This hotel is close to restaurants and other activities. Everything needed is walking distance also some beautiful temples close by. They also give advice on what to do and call transportation if needed. We felt so at home and at peace. They also have a very clean pool that we spent alot of time at. The beds are comfy. AC works great. We also had a nice balcony looking over the inner yard. It is a very sweet spot. Very much worth the price!

Our red songthaew driver had a challenge finding the place so used MapsMe to help him find it. Check in was fast. There are only stairs but they gladly will carry your bags to your room. We had a giant king bed, fridge, TV (Thai channels), desk chair, safe, night stands, cofee/tea, kettle, 2 bottles water, balcony with view of alley and hotel grounds next door (facing the sun but some shade so can use in the afternoon). All rooms except the front 2 face the same direction out to the alley which makes them a bit quieter. Giant metal rack for hanging clothes and other storage. Pool, access only by going downstairs and outside along road to pool at back. Strong wifi. Breakfast included is ordered off a menu, it is not that straight forward what you are allowed to order but we ordered and got fed. There is a egg dish, a noodle dish, rice soup and add ons like toast, juice, fruit, coffee another. The service was friendly and the food was fine. We could stay there again, no problem. It has a great location, 7-11 and local store very close, near a couple good local restaurants for khao soi and wonton noodle soup, near Chiang Gate Market and short walk to Saturday and Sunday night walking streets. Also for clothes washing, go to the right and right along a quieter road to find a very nice smiling lady a short walk away, look for a weathered 40 B/kg sign and the nice lady. Overall, good place, could stay again if in area.

I had a room that both door and window overlooked interior courtyards, which meant that it was completely separate from the town making it quiet and restful. It had a couple of quirks -- there was a long list of things not to steal, there was a (very cute) do not disturb/out of room hanger that was always by the room. My room (and presumably each room) had its own router which is both very nice (more reliable) and a bit inconvenient at times (the network in the breakfast area was different, the router was on an outlet that was turned on by putting my key in the key holder so it always took a couple of minutes to start back up when I returned). The location is good. It has the usual local quirks (such as not being able to flush toilet paper). They seem to be still ramping up after the shutdown -- breakfast was buffet for two mornings and order off a menu for the other one.

Una desagradable sorpresa: Al hacer el checking nos dimos cuenta de que el hotel está lleno de insectos, arañas y cucarachas de todos los tamaños he intentado cancelar la reserva a través de ágora pero al ser el día de check in ya no me permitía, he comprado un ser de desinfectante estropajo y anti insectos y han empezado a salir por todas partes, por lo que he reservado otro hotel en el que dormiremos, ya que viajo con una niña pequeña. Este hostal tiene un problema de plagas, una cosa es que sea económico y otra es que sea insalubre. La que dice ser la dueña ha dicho al comentarle la situación esta mañana ha dicho que ella no haría devoluciones. Este tipos de cosas deben saberse y advertirse ya que cuando llegas y lo ves no te hacen la devolución. La peor experiencia en alojamiento, no recomiendo.

First I was a bit afraid because Slumber Hostel is a party hostel. And I am not a partyer. I care about my sleep. I guess I was lucky because I was in a 4-bed dorm with very quiet people who also went to sleep pretty early. And it seemed that there were no parry people at all while I was there, I haven't heard a single sound of music/loud speakers in the night. It was perfect. (But they do warn you when you check in that you have to expect noise since it's a party hostel! So I guess sometimes it gets really noisy). I really liked the hostel's design, it all looked very new and clean. That's a big plus! Although they (strangely) don't provide blankets (you can rent one for 75 baht!), they did give me a free towel. Also there isn't any free filtered water available, so they want you to purchase new bottles. Business. They have a menu, which is extremely expensive (149 for a pancake for example). But given the cheap room rate (just over a 100 baht) it was really OK and I don't regret staying here. The location is also great! It's close to everything. Sam at the reception was very friendly. Thank you!

Quelle erreur j'ai fait en réservant cet hôtel ! Arrivée dans l'hôtel j'étais choquée, le photographe a fait un travail fou en prenant et modifiant les photos car la réalité était tout autre que sur les images. Mais je me suis dit que, même si l'hôtel sort tout droit des années 50 et que la chambre est limite sinistre (et aussi chaude qu'un sauna puisque pas de clim), vu le prix ça ne me dérangeait pas. Le petit restaurant à côté était sympa, la piscine qui brulait les yeux aussi... Tout allait bien. Mais très rapidement, j'ai eu sur le bas des jambes pleins de boutons qui grattent. Je pensais que c'était les moustiques puisque, première fois dans le Nord de la Thaïlande, je me fais souvent piquer donc rien de choquant, puis surtout il n'y avait pas vraiment de fenêtre mais des 'stores en verre'. J'ai cru qu'ils entraient par là la nuit. J'y ai cru. Pendant plusieurs jours. Voyant les boutons se multiplier, je me badigeonnais de crème et de spray anti-moustique mais rien n'y faisait. Puis un jour, je soulève mon oreiller et je vois... des punaises de lit. Pleins de puces. Mon lit était infesté, bien que les draps étaient blancs et semblaient propre, ce n'était pas le cas du matelas. Ignoble. Pour couronner le tout la gérante était extrêmement désagréable, jamais un sourire, un merci, un bonjour elle puait le seum. Quand je lui demandai un rouleau de PQ elle me regardait comme si j'avais insulté sa mère. Bref, à part si vous voulez dormir en compagnie de punaises, je déconseille.
