What I like about Astra: • It’s big and family friendly. We came as a family of 3, including a baby. • Love the pool and changing room. • Its near 7-11 • Its near with night bazaar market • Its very near with halal eateries What I dont like about Astra: • Its a condo not a hotel, so there is no reception to attend to us. • Trip.com sent us the wrong info to access our rooms so we were waited 1 hour at the lobby woth our luggages and a baby. There was no one at reception and they turn off the aircon so it wasnt a pleasant intro for us. IBut we manage to call trip.com and get us to assist us asap. • There was no water heater in our room.

Loved this hotel - its more expensive that I would normally go for, but I wanted to treat myself. The room was spotless and the bed wonderfully supportive and comfy. The staff were friendly without exception, but my favourite memory was sitting outside eating breakfast each day with the wind gently rustling the trees, the birds singing and the gentle warmth of the sun heating the city up - and this is despite the hotel being very close to the airport and a busy road. A real oasis of tranquility. The gym equipment needs replacing as the cross trainer wasn't working and the bike machine was a bit long in the tooth, but I still found it helpful for keeping in shape while away and the staff were so helpful with showing me how it all worked. The final lovely element is the rooftop restaurant - gorgeous!!

Stayed another 2 times here, with the rellies. One night when we arrived from Bangkok, the other night when we were heading back to Bangkok. The first night when we went inside the room it seemed like it was full of mosquitoes, certainly plenty of them!! I went down to reception and asked for some insect spray, but the staff insisted that a maintenance person do the deed. He arrived, bent down under the lounge room bench and gave a quick spray, towards the floor!! When he stood up again I took the can and sprayed around the room and bathroom for him. We went out for dinner and when we came back all the pests had gone; Magic!! The second night was fine, for once. Just under 1,000 baht for the 2 nights, so getting cheaper too.

Location is a bit out of the way. There is a McDonald's next to the restaurant that gives 10% discount to hotel guests. There is a smallish swimming pool. There are snacks and beer on tap (and if you have forgotten some essentials like a toothbrush, shower cap etc) that can be purchased from the hotel front desk. No breakfast served but from 6:30-10am you can make yourself toast with a choice of a preserve or condensed milk for your bread. This is free but the side snacks on offer must be paid for. The staff are friendly and try to be accommodating of requests as much as they can but this is an eco motel and no kitchen to provide meals so don't bother trying to pay extra to get breakfast included. Overall while neat and the staff are friendly the setup of the hotel and limited facilities only rates 3 stars. Will I stay here again. Sure!

The manager was kind and upgraded our room right from check-in. Loved the room in general, but certain things were in slightly disrepair. Things such as the shower head being badly clogged and the spa itself, which was the main feature not having enough hot water to fully fill, or a heater to finish the job. Temperature was okay, but not hot. Lack of heater makes the pumps blow cold air into the tub. I would suggest to staff to take extra care in thorough cleaning, mainly of the tub itself. Everything else was quite nice.

Such a lovely property going to waste! Very helpful staff but no amenities like breakfast/ restaurant! Only readymade coffee available and nothing else. Every morning one has to trek out of the hotel to get breakfast. Even if they keep basics like boiled eggs/ butter/jam/ cheese - both veg n non veg people can have. But the biggest issue is PAYING CASH for your stay!!! We weren’t informed by MakeMyTrip and had to pay cash for our 3 nights stay!! That’s a lot of cash going out as we had expected to pay by card. Their website should be updated saying NO RESTAURANT/ SWIMMING POOL/ BREAKFASTS Near the airport but a bit out of the main city centre
