The hotel is beautiful and very well located. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family. Maya at the front desk was amazing and we loved Tony and James at the outdoor terrace bar. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. On our very first day, the gentleman outside recognized us when we walked by a few hours after check in. Impressive!

The hotel is the best I’ve ever stay at. The doormen knew the restaurant once we gave just address for taxi. The front desk allow us to check in early and gave us an amazing room with a view of city and Lake Michigan. If you go make sure you go to the pool gym and the the steam room heaven awaits here. This hotel is a perfect place to stay and walking distance to the lake front for an evening stool along the water front. I love the Chicago best city in America.

My husband and I and my sister all stayed at the Peninsula Hotel . This hotel is amazing. The rooms are pristine and comfortable. The dining was out of this world! We LOVED the Chinese Restaurant in the hotel. The food was perfect and the service wonderful. We also enjoyed a late meal in the lobby. We all had the Ahi Tuna appetizer and a salad before our main course. We were so full that we had to cancel our main meal orders! Everything was elegant, delicious and relaxed. We will stay there the next time we are in Chicago ( soon)! Our thank you’d to everyone working there. The Peninsula staff were all friendly and helpful!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at WA-Chicago and this is our first time staying at WA in the United States. Last WA stay was in Thailand where the experience was superb! Reservation was easy via the app and the concierge emailed me a week in advance asking if there was anything they can do to prepare of our stay. I had a terrible experience with a Hilton hotel in Las Vegas in Dec 2022 where a stranger opened my hotel door at 11:20 pm. I am still experiencing PTSD so I asked if the concierge can provide anything lavender (scent/oil) so I can be relaxed. Also, since it's our wedding anniversary, perhaps anything in that theme would be nice. First the concierge addressed me as Mr instead of Mrs. Unsure why one automatically thinks that it's the man who made the hotel booking. Second, the concierge wasn't able to meet my requests which was non-issue. We declined turn-down service but requested chocolate where they were never delivered during our stay. A robe was missing in the closet and room service delivered it immediately. There wasn't any coffee or tea in the room but the dining service delivered my hot tea in 30 minutes which was acceptable. The bed was comfortable but sound insulation wasn't great since we could hear neighbors' chatting at midnight. We used the steam/sauna for 30 minutes before checking out and the spa was a nice facility. The hotel is nicely located in the Gold Coast area where it is closed to many lovely restaurants. The reception area is kind of small and there were 2 guest service staffs assisting with check-in/out.

This hotel is simply great. Low key luxury is how I would describe it. Rooms are so nice and general facilities high end, but where it really comes into its own is the staff. Having stayed here a year ago, we were pleasantly surprised that many of the same people still work here. This is unusual in city hotel. We were really well taken care of even before arrival. The beds are to die for. Housekeeping is so discreet I don’t think we ever even saw anyone from housekeeping! Pleasant, knowledgeable staff in every area. Don’t know why we tried the Thompson last time we came, as the Viceroy is simple streets ahead.

1. Didn’t asked for accesible room, but that’s what I got. 2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you can’t turn it on because literally you won’t sleep. 3. Shower had someone’s else hairs in the shower wall, gross. - Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects. - Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself. -If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position. Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service. Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare. Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated. I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience. Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, but there was an empty shoebox when we first arrived in the room, which makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the room. Other than that it seemed clean. The parking garage was a short walk from the hotel, it was $50 for two nights, which isn’t too bad. Overall a good experience. I would book this hotel again and recommend to a friend! (we had an awesome view too!)

I sleep in dozens of hotels a year, both for work and leisure travel. I seldom leave reviews. But opinions are so split on Selina Chicago that I feel compelled. First, I found it clean throughout. The common spaces were fun and quirky-- definitely not cookie cutter. As for the rooms, my room 608 was solid 4 star: great bed, fresh remodel. The only downsides were wall-to-wall carpeting that could use a refresh, and dated bathroom (clean, but with a 1970s style low wide toilet, etc). And a slow shower drain that left you in 3 inches of water after a 5 minute shower. That's always gross. I suspect opinions differ on Selina because it is essentially TWO hotels in one: a hostel and a hotel. These are separated by floor. The second floor has common areas incl small kitchen, ”cinema room,” meeting room, and bar/lounge area. If you're looking for a hotel (as opposed to a hostel-- I can't speak to that), ignore the negative reviews. This is a clean, charming, non-cookie-cutter 3.5 star hotel in a very convenient location (pro tip: Jeni's ice cream one block away has the BEST ice cream ever). and very reasonably priced for the neighborhood.

This was my second time staying at Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile, and it was a pure coincidence for this second stay. The location and the room offered were a great deal at this price.
