1) EXPERIENCE - We had booked T4-103 BEM VINDO @ Rio de Goa by tripvillas, but were given T11-802. We checked in around midnight and had no other option than to check in to whatever was given. The one we booked had nice interiors and interesting furniture. The one we got was quite bare and minimal. The caretaker was to check and come back next morning, but he did nothing. Their office also didnt call. Finally when i reached out, i was told that there is some issue with the washrooms of T4-103 and hence an alternative acco was given. The one given had a much lower price when we checked online. This was raised and they agreed to give a discount. However, they were unwilling to meet the price that i could see on the net. We had booked for a Fri to Mon. So we took the quote from Agoda for the next Fri-Mon and asked them to match the rate which they refused. - We went and checked T4-103 and found that there was no issue with the apartment and another guest was staying there. - We paid Rs 4333 per night (including 12% tax) whereas the online rate for Fri - to Mon next week was Rs 3718 (Rs 3320 + 12% tax) per night - Having failed to provide us the acco that we booked, the minimum that we should have been provided was to match the online rates, if not compensation for failing to provide the promised service OVERALL : We were completely taken for a ride - giving a lower facility with a price higher than what was available online 2) ABOUT T4-103 : We did not see this apartment which we booked, because we did not stay there (another guest was staying there) 3) ABOUT T11-802 : What is good : A functional and neat apartment with minimal interiors. Kitchen is fairly well equipped (toaster, kettle, microwave, induction stove, refrigerator, utensils). Living room has sofas and android TV. Dining table with 4 chairs is available. Both bedrooms have a cupboard each. Bathrooms are decent. What is missing : No cleaning, no clearance of waste, No washing machine, no iron ./ironing board, no towel rods / hooks in bathrooms, no mirror outside bathrooms, no facility for drying clothes, no tissue rolls, no refilling of liquid soap. Draping a saree can be a challenge with no full size mirror. 4) ABOUT THE COMPLEX : Apartment in in Tata Rio de Goa Housing complex. Standard apartment amenitites like pool and gym are available 5) ABOUT THE PROVIDER : Do not expect any service from the provider. Be prepared to fend for yourself. The caretaker appeared twice - one to give keys at checkin and then to take it back at checkout. The phone calls were hardly responded to. We asked for some minimal info like local taxi contact which they did not provide. 6) OVERALL IMPRESSION : You may not get what you have booked and may end up paying more than the online price for what you get. The apartment (T11-802) is overall okay, but you are on your own and do not expect to get any information / help from anyone
