The hotel is not really in Chorley, being located to the south west and some distance, from Chorley. It is situated on a motorway service area which is only accessible from the northbound M6. Exit is onto the northbound M6 too. This means that you have a rather long trek along the motorway if you are intending to access local amenities - or CHORLEY. It's fine as a stopover if you are actually travelling north on the M6. The hotel required more information at check-in the most do these days and they insist on you registering a debit/credit card at reception for a room deposit. No money is taken unless you damage something but they have carte blanche to take money and argue with you later should they so choose. Very few (none in my recent experience) hotels take such measures these days. In the era of fraud and identity theft it is never ideal to hand over information of any kind.
The room was very comfortable and well appointed but the shower was very slippery. There were notices in the bathroom but some effort to make the bathroom less hazardous would be more useful.
Overall there are better alternatives locally that do not require card details and are much easier to get to by car, and indeed public transport or cycle. Go elsewhere for the same standard of accomodation without the hassle.
