PPengguna TetamuI'm not writing my review out of anger. I stayed there a few days ago for one night, so I had plenty of time to reflect and calm down. Starting with the positives: location is very good, close to town center, has a spacious car park and there is a grocery store and a small bar nearby. (You'll need both) Staff is also friendly. And now the drawbacks: it is mu understanding that rooms on the 4th floor has undergone some renovation, but sadly, my room on the second floor hasn't. The bathroom was *somewhat* clean (except from the long dark hairs in the sink), but still shabby (wonky showerhead, sink plug stuck). The room itself had stained carpets, a broken chair, no fridge, no sockets, only a dirty extender under the desk. Bed linen reasonably clean, only the upholstery on the bed was stained and torn so I was wondering what the mattress must have been like hygene-wise. As to comfort: it was the kind of soft mattress that would swallow you whole when you sit on it. Fun fact: I'm 5'10 and I couldn't reach the nightlight switch from the bed. :D Blanket was very thin and the room was cold. No kettle for tea or coffee, not even a vending machine in the entire hotel, and as for the catering department: I'm sorry guys but the dinner was just inedible. Ice cold, green water for soup, which could have been made of broccoli or haribo bears, I couldn't tell by tasting it since it didn't have one. This was followed by a tiny piece of beef with chips - also cold. No sauces were offered, but at least we got a small bowl of shredded cabbage without any seasoning, but least that has nutritional value. Dessert was some sort of cake - I couldn't tell what because again, no taste. (To be fair, one person at my table liked it) We tried to order some wine or beer and the waiter informed us that our trip organiser only paid for the food and some water. We said fair enough, bring us something and we'll pay, that's no problem. But then the waiter also informed us that they are not prepared to accomodate such extraordinary requests so there are nothing on the premises other that the water. Not even a bottle of coke. (Mind you, I was travelling with a group of 50 people, and there was also another large party in the hotel so I don't think it would have been a big loss to keep the bar open for an hour or two after dinner and maybe stock a case of beer) Breakfast was so-so, decent even: the usual with fried eggs and sausages - but then again, everything was very cold but at least much tastier than dinner. So overall not a very pleasant experience: there is a lot to improve when it comes to services and hygene. If the refurbishment continues, then perhaps it will be a 3 star place, I would only give it one at the moment.
