Top parking access and great location. Within a few minutes from the tram. Hotel wise the bedrooms are confortable, clean and specious enough. Bathroom comes with the regular amenities and even more (earplugs for example). Breakfast is in point, great choice of sweet and savory. This was my first stay at the Exzellenz Hotel and I was quite pleased. It is within easy walking distance of Bismarkplatz and the start of the Altstadt Hauptstraße. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and updated. And the front desk staff were very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to give me the information I was looking for. The breakfast was typical of what you would expect from a German hotel and, overall, I was very satisfied with the value of my stay.

We managed to find an open table along the popular street “Hauptstrasse.” There is also seating inside. The restaurant is actually called Ritterstube at Hotel Ritter. It was a beautiful early June day filled with the ambiance of the street and across from the scenic church, Heilggeistkirche. We thought our service was just fine, prompt and friendly. We first ordered cold beers. I did have a sausage with sauerkraut and potatoes with mustard on the side. Everything was delicious. We were there well over an hour and enjoyed every minute.

The hotel is in a great location at the river's edge near the old bridge, and was easy to find. Hotel-provided directions were perfect. Unloading bags in front of the hotel was simple. Public parking (get a discount card from hotel) was in a pay garage that's a bit of drive to maneuver but an easy walk back. The hotel staff were all wonderful and check-in was quick. There is a convenient lift next to reception. Some rooms are two steps down the hall--easily doable with luggage. The room was a decent size. The bed was very comfortable but with all feather pillows (not great for allergy sufferers). The nightstands at each bedside had a power outlet--perfect for charging devices at bedside! The room had a mini bar but no coffeemaker or tea kettle. The bathroom had a shower cubicle with a little mold at the base of the tile--just needs a bit of scrubbing. The water pressure was excellent! There was a wall-mounted hair dryer. Although the bathroom was dimly lit, the lighted magnifying mirror was a nice addition. The free WiFi worked well and was password protected. I would happily stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

This is an old-school European hotel that has been run by the same family for years. In fact, they were walking around breakfast greeting guests who had been coming for years. Although the furnishings are more old-school the service is top notch. The front desk, bellman, servers - everyone was extremely helpful and cheerful. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of the town and our room was quite comfortable - the sitting area was nice to have so we could relax a bit before dinner. Breakfast was a great buffet with fresh squeezed juices and cheeses, meats, eggs, pastries and yoghurts.

This hotel is absolutely lovely - the reception area is pristine and modern. Although our room wasn't quite ready on check in because the hotel was sold out, we were able to leave our luggage here and begin our visit to Heidelberg. We dealt with 2 girls at reception, both incredibly busy but incredibly helpful. I couldn't praise them enough. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous too, with so much to choose from. The rooms were spotless and clearly newly decorated. Everything was to notch - I couldn't fault it. The rooftop bar is worth a visit too - a little expensive, but the views are fabulous. Be warned that it gets super busy (as expected) if the weather is nice.

Das Hotel liegt 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof Heidelberg. Die Innenstadt ist 15 min mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel erreichbar. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt aber ordentlich und sauber. Beim Check in mussten alle bereits online hinterlegten Daten leider nochmal angegeben werden. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen, da es mir zu weit von der Innenstadt entfernt ist.

PPengguna TetamuFür einen ziemlich spontanen Ausflug nach Heidelberg habe ich noch einen Tag vorher eine Unterkunft gesucht. Lotte war hier mit Abstand das günstigste Angebot. Zuerst hatte ich ein wenig Bedenken, da das ja oft nichts Gutes verspricht. Aber zum Glück habe ich mich hier auf die guten Bewertungen verlassen und gebucht. Schon die Begrüßung beim Check-in war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Glücklicherweise galt das genauso für meine Zimmernachbarn. Es war sehr spannend, sich abends auszutauschen, schließlich war ich die einzige Deutsche im 5er-Zimmer. Zur Ausstattung: Ja, zum Frühstück gibt es nur Müsli in verschiedenen Sorten mit Hafer- oder Kuhmilch, außerdem Kaffee und Tee. Ich bin ohnehin Müslifrühstückerin :) Eigene Nahrungsmittel kann man mit seinem Namen markiert im Kühlschrank unterbringen und jederzeit in der Küche zubereiten. Die Zimmer sind sauber, man bekommt Bettwäsche gestellt und Handtücher kann man sich ausleihen. Jedes Bett in meinem Zimmer hatte seine eigene Steckdosenleiste, Beleuchtung sowie ein Schließfach. Für dringende Fälle kann man laut Aushang auch außerhalb der Rezeptionszeiten jemanden telefonisch erreichen. Das einzige, das ich mich frage, ist, ob es evtl. den einen oder anderen Herren stört, dass die Damen wählen können zwischen dem Bad für alle und dem nur für Frauen, während die Herren immer mit den Damen teilen müssen? Fazit: Insbesondere wer offen ist, neue Kontakte zu internationalen Reisenden zu knüpfen, kann hier eine preisgünstige, gut gelegene und in positiver Erinnerung bleibende Unterkunft finden.

PPengguna TetamuThis is an old-school European hotel that has been run by the same family for years. In fact, they were walking around breakfast greeting guests who had been coming for years. Although the furnishings are more old-school the service is top notch. The front desk, bellman, servers - everyone was extremely helpful and cheerful. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of the town and our room was quite comfortable - the sitting area was nice to have so we could relax a bit before dinner. Breakfast was a great buffet with fresh squeezed juices and cheeses, meats, eggs, pastries and yoghurts.

PPengguna TetamuWe traveled by train so this hotel was perfect, very short walk from the main station, maybe 150 feet. We did not know check in was 3:00 so paid 15€ to check in early taking a lesser room for the same price. IBIS allows early check in / late checkout for a 90€ annual fee. Breakfast was basic so we skipped that. Unfortunately McDonalds next door closed about 4 months earlier. As for lunch, the Thai restaurant (Asia Box) in the main station was very good and there is a grocery store in the station too. Our room on the 1st floor was small but clean with 2 beds. The bathroom was very small but this is the only room we saw. Street noise was minimal. Train, tram and bus lines converge here so you cant beat the location. I suspect they have parking for a fee but because we arrived by train, I am not sure.

We love all things in the room. all well. room with balcony, aircond, smart home functions, big flat tv with nexflix, coffee machine, kitchen & utensils. its complete like a studio house. The receptionist also so friendly. there is mistakes from Trip.Com state check out time at 12 but actually is at 11. then we not ready because we think the time was at 12. then they came & gave us time to check out. all so good for sure we will come again to this hotel.

PPengguna TetamuGreat spacious room. The kids had separate beds ( always a bonus in our house) in what I would call the Living room. Good spacious wet room. The kitchenette was equipped with microwave, single induction hob, plates,bowls, cutlery & looked like a wardrobe when closed. The beds were comfy, the room clean. Dogs are welcome. Parking was 10€ but you can park on the main street for free. Breakfast was 18€ for adults & 8.50€ for kids. Located 3km (2 miles) for the old town, approx a 40 minute walk. There's an Aldi 5 minute walk way & a burger bar, which is well worth a visit. Metri stops are plentiful within a short distance. Minor down sides, we were in Block 3 facing the busy Metro Link. The trains stopped approx 11pm Saturday night & started again approx 6am Sunday morning.

The breakfast is OK and enough variety. We booked a second night, the staff is very nice and helpful. There is a tram nearby to get into town. We walked wich was a nice walk but far - therefor the old town is spread out a long woy. We took a ”lime scooter” back to the hotel - wich was fun - there a plenty room on the bikepathes. The hotel is nice and quited and the beds where good there I would recommend it. There is 24 hours check-in available.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is in an historic building. The ceilings are high and our room was a deluxe double and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of foods--from fresh baked bread, to make your own waffles, to cheeses, eggs and other foods. The staff at the buffet was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the Alstadt (old city) and it was easy to walk everywhere from there. It's also right next to the bus/tram station. However, a few things you need to know before you book this hotel. 1) The reception desk is only staffed until early evening. 2) Housekeeping is sporadic. We were there for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned once. 3) There is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room and opened the windows and it was bearable at night, but not super cool. On a very hot day or night this could really be an issue. 4) With the windows open, it is really noisy, particularly because the bus and tram station is right across the street. 5) There is no shampoo or conditioner provided--only hand soap at the sink and body soap in the shower. However, there's a drug store across the street where you can get what you need. 6) There are small sets of stairs that you may have to go up and down on the floor where the rooms are. If you have mobility issues, try to ask about this when you book so that you get a room where this won't be an issue. We had a very nice stay, but those are things I would have liked to know before I booked, so I thought I'd include them in a review.

DDuesseldorf110Das Hotel liegt 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof Heidelberg. Die Innenstadt ist 15 min mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel erreichbar. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt aber ordentlich und sauber. Beim Check in mussten alle bereits online hinterlegten Daten leider nochmal angegeben werden. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen, da es mir zu weit von der Innenstadt entfernt ist.
