A return visit, Lovely to be recognised by some staff, who gave us a very warm welcome. The Hotel is clean, the staff friendly as well as professional. Food is plentiful, tasty and very well presented. Very much enjoy our time here, and really hope we can return later in the year. Thank you to Karolina, all the arrangements you put in place went according to plan. Thank you kusum, lovely welcome when we got to our meeting room. Thank you to Pradeep, Mackenzie and the young lady who served us in 14 Twelve. Great chefs. Producing tasty food, hot and beautiful presented. Huge Thank you to Chloe, this young lady went above and beyond, just very attentive, and looked after us extremely well.

The place was a bit overly priced for 106 pounds the bathroom tiles were not clean under my bed were toys for children meaning the place wasn't cleaned well before I got there ,the room was extremely cold the heating was not working no one on front office when I went down ,no complimentary toothpaste, brush bath robe slippers ,having worked in hospitality this is not anywhere near 4 stars

The hotel is conveniently located just off the M4 in Swindon. We used it as a stop off while driving dueing the night. The hotel itself was very festively decorated with lots of Christmas decorations, which was great, ot felt very warm and welcoming. The 24 hour reception desk was one of the reasons we chose the hotel as we were arriving at midnight and the staff memver who checked us in was very professional and welcoming. The car park only had a few spaces left which worried us but we did get a space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, there was no heating in our room. There is no central heating so they have put in A/C/heater units on the walls. Our seemed to be broken as it blew out cold air for 30 minutes before we decided to turn it off. We had been travelling for 26 hours at that point and it was gone midnight so I didn't want to go back to the reception desk and risk having to change rooms when we were already so tired. So we layered up and went to bed with jumpers & socks. I asked for a portable heater the next morning at breakfast and they put one in within 5 minutes so that getting ready in the morning wasn't so cold. I was very impressed with the responsiveness of the team. There is no heating in the bathroom either. It was a shame because everything else about the hotel was fine. The breakfast was good too. Perfect for a 1 night stop-over. However, I wouldn't recommend it for winter.

Definitely a economical for field trip travellers and right on track of top the sustainable goals. Check-in, rest, housekeeping and other facilities outside the room went smoothly staying comfortably, had a superb breakfast adequate period of ”brunch on weekends. so appreciation goes to Concierge.

Me and Hubby had a great time at The Tawmy Owl. It started with dinner lovely home cooked Sunday Roast Then up to our room which we booked. Spacious, emaculat and really comfortable. Then back down for the Open Mike Night. Really great fun, lovely people, and lots of drinks to try. In the morning down for breakfast. Just what the Dr ordered. Thanks Laura for a great stay. I appreciate that the hotel is under new ownership, and having a serious makeover, but that's no excuse for a lengthy list of things that weren't ok! We were in a block awaiting refurb, and it really showed! Front door that didn't shut properly & had gaps in panels that let light through, into a stifling hot lobby with threadbare stair carpet up a narrow staircase to our room. Lots of cobwebs & dust around window& behind bed, bathroom door didn't shut, water pressure for shower was pathetic, as was the flush for the loo, window was cracked, and the sink plug didn't work - no information of any description in the room, not even a number to contact reception. Staff are being trained- but putting someone behind a bar who doesn't know what a Bailey's is & can't change a barrel is a bit of a fail! An annoying beep from a failing battery in the automatic doorstop was eventually solved by removing the doorstop completely, as either they had no batteries or didn't know how to change them - this was getting more like Fawlty Towers every minute. We decided not to have dinner at the Hotel, as the menu was decidedly uninspiring and overpriced (especially if you're vegetarian!) So to bed! Bed was comfy! But noise from the road prevented a decent night's sleep. Down for breakfast - all served yourself. no cleared tables available, no cereal bowls, only large mugs for coffee/tea, actual cooked breakfast was ok, apart from fried bread like soggy cardboard - but no plates for toast etc. To be fair, we stayed two nights, and the service the next day was better, but you cannot expect inexperienced trainee staff to cope on their own! All in all, we won't be back! If you do book in for a stay, make a booking at Sally Pusseys down the road for dinner- you won't be disappointed!
