The resort is a good property especially for family with kids. Good location, good vibes. The only thing that can be improved is the ambience and the service. The staff is polite, serves you well. Need improvements with basic services like providing complimentary water bottle for the day without asking. But a place worth recommending for a good stay and family getaway!

The place is worth its price but the main issue is with the road. The road leading to the resort is very narrow, allowing only one car to pass at a time. If another vehicle approaches from the opposite direction, there is no space to give way to that vehicle. You would have to reverse your vehicle, and since the road is slightly curved, it's difficult to do so. I witnessed a car driver and an auto-rickshaw driver getting into a fight because they scratched each other's vehicles while trying to give way. If you are arriving in your own vehicle, such as a car or a traveller, it's better to search for other options. I would recommend booking this resort only as a last option.

We stayed for two nights and found the place amazing. First, the location is good. It may be slightly away from the alibag centre but that makes the place quiet. If you are coming from the mandwa jetty by the buses run by ferry services then ask them to stop in front of the hotel. Second, the food was not bad. They had a good breakfast buffet. At last, the staff, pool, rooms, and reception are great. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool was well maintained. The reception allowed us an early check-in and a late check out.

Room service is good. Staff members are helpful. Veg restaurant was just beside the hotel. Non- veg restaurant was at a walking distance of 5 mins from hotel. Cab service is 24 hrs available from ola and uber. Hotel room bed size is ok if two persons are there. If you are traveling with your kid, then bed will be small. You can order food from room also. Hotel staff will deliver food to your room.

PPengguna TetamuRadha's Cottage is a lovely retreat, very well located at the end of the road in Matheran. It's a simple place, furnished largely with period furniture. The food is outstanding - the best I've had in 6 weeks of traveling in India.
For those who are unfamiliar with Matheran as I was, a couple pieces of information:
- The ”toy train” runs very infrequently. Be sure to get a schedule if you plan to take it from the parking.
- It's a 4.5km walk from the train station near the parking to Radha's. Don't believe the stationmaster if he tells you it's a 20 minute walk, it's an hour's walk.
- It's still another 1.5km from the train station in the village to Radha's. If you've got a bag it's probably a good idea to get some help from a porter.
- Sometimes the electricity goes out. When we stayed, these outages were brief, just a minute or 2.
- Sometimes the water in the bathroom is dark brown. This surprised us one morning. It's dirt, and cleared during the course of the day.

PPengguna TetamuThis is a historically important location in Matheran. Ratheesh and his business partner were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation is so full of character. For a truly “green” and unique stay in a totally unique location, the Verandah in the Forest is absolutely a must. This is undoubtedly the place to stay in Matheran if you can get a room - would suggest booking early so as not to miss the chance to stay here - and is so much more than a hotel.
Food was superb and because of the size and layout, never seemed busy. Quiet and relaxing stay.
As there’s no phone signal in Matheran Hill Station I’d suggest contacting Ratheesh before making the ascent to the hill station for location instructions. There is wi-fi at the Verandah in the Forest.

Our stay was lovely, we even extended it for two more nights without any issue. The hotel staff was always ready to help us with any inquiry. The room was large and with all necessary things.

Recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel, and i must say, it was a truly 5-star experience! from the moment i checked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to my every need. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The amenities and services were top-notch, and the hotel's attention to detail was impressive. My stay was not only enjoyable but also truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and unforgettable experience.
