It is a good hotel and nice hot spring I wish they had shower or bath in their room other than that very good service and friendly front desk staff It is also in a very good location

Although the building of the hotel was constructed in 1997, the room was modernly decorated and very comfortable. There were 3 onsens available for guests to use and they could not be missed. The dinner and breakfast were remarkable. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel was located near mount Asahi-dake. It was good to have onsen after hiking in the mountain. What’s more, the area which the hotel was located was free from light pollution. I saw a sky full of stars and it was superb.

Rooms have a nice old world charm. Dinner (we had the French one) was very good. Soup, fish, palate cleanser, steak, and dessert were all tasty and fresh. Wine selection could have been a bit better but wasn't bad at all. Onsen is nice: they have the public onsen and private rooms. Each room is different, so try to get the one at the end of the corridor (it has an open air section) if you can. Otherwise the public onsen is really great too. A slightly long walk to the ropeway station up to Asahidake for my kid. But loved it overall!

房間很大。暖風機可以做到很熱很熱，但是，冷暖不均，二樓太熱，一樓還嫌冷。 樓梯很陡，沒有扶手，不方便老年人和腿腳不便的人。衹有一個廁所。睡二樓的，夜晚上廁所需要特別小心。 環境很美。 晚餐食物很簡單。 家庭獨立浴室很贊，雪地裏，露天的浴池。

Amazing house with a huge amount of space, impeccably clean. The house felt brand new, and it doesn't get more private. I felt like I was in my own universe. My only complaint is that the host company BreakOut threatens to charge you 5,000 yen for every 30 minutes of late checkout after 10:00AM. This is extremely hostile against your guests. Here is the exact wording from the welcome email: ”Leaving the room after check-out time will be considered a late check-out without permission. A fee of 5,000 yen will be charged for every 30 minutes.” We were also threatened about being liable of the pipes freeze. While this is a vacation rental in the winter, and we understand their concern about liability, you can advise about this without overtly threatening financial penalties. This speaks to the mean spirited nature of BreakOut (the property management company / private equity firm) and for this reason we will never rent from them again. This is a company that viciously attacks anyone for the sake of profit, and they should probably be on Wall Street rather than running a hospitality company. The smart companies get someone nice as the front facing staff. At Tomato Cube there is absolutely no one, nor was there any email address provided for contact. It is just a ghost ship out there. Even the coffee shop and thai restaurant nearby were totally abandoned.
