Hotel terbaik di Leiden

They specifically lied about the price of the bathrobe and slippers. The employee at the reception, a blonde Dutch guy told me that it would be 11,50 for one person. I couldn't pay right there and then because he said I would have to pay at checkout. They do this so that when you get there the next day to check out they can drop a price of 60 for 2 people when they originally said it was 11,50 per person. They charge an astonishing fee for the rental of the bathrobe and slippers who the employee told me was free. He was on duty at 22nd of February around 3-4 when we checked in. Also they were rude and unhelpful with accommodations and service. We are not a difficult couple but the service we got was below par. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone purely because of the very poor staff. -1 star

Er valt van alles op te merken over het hotel. Wij vonden de ligging perfect, de medewerkers heel erg vriendelijk en voorkomend, het ontbijt meer dan toereikend en de kamer biedt wat je nodig hebt. Niet de luxe standaard hotel inrichting, maar stil, schoon en donker. We hadden cafebezoek en uit eten ( alles beloopbaar) en kregen een warmtekussen mee. De balie is dag en nacht bemand. Het ontbijt was prima, de bagage kon opgeslagen worden en we liepen naar het museum van onze keuze. Van en naar het hotel is een gratis pendeldienst naar de parkeerplaats, een geweldige service. Ook een parkeerkaart tegen gereduceerd tarief in het hotel. We hebben zeer genoten.

The hotel is under 5 minutes walk from Central Station, and just on the edge of the main old town. Google maps is not very clever at the walking directions, and sent us a rout which took 20 minutes walking and ended up leading us to the entrance from the car park. We heard that this is a common complaint from guests arriving by foot. The hotel location is pretty handy for visiting many of the tourist spots in Leiden with probably a 20 minute walk to the Rijks Museum and / or Botanical Gardens about the biggest duration to get anywhere. The hotel is one of those with a ”host” instead of a checkin / checkout desk. You are supposed to do both yourself on an adjacent screen, although in practice the ”host” did the task for us and for almost everyone else we noticed checking in. There is no breakfast provided, but instead a reasonably large selection of snack and breakfast items plus other things you might want to buy at a hotel is available. You have to pay for these things via a scanner and card payment machine - there are no staff present. This all worked quite well for us, and proved a lot cheaper than typical hotel breakfast, but might not suit everyone. The actual room was large, but dark as can be! Walls were painted a gloomy colour which sucked all the light out of the room. Even in daylight it seemed dark, and at night it certainly was dark! The wash basin was in the same physical space as the bed, while there was a separate door for a toilet and another (glass) door for a shower. Due to the very low level of lighting, it was a big struggle to see myself in the mirror for shaving. Our room looked out onto a car park and was nice and quiet. Rooms on the main street might not be.

Hotel très intime, chambre spacieuse avec kitchenette, salle d'eau fonctionnelle mais un peu petite. La décoration est très agréable. Le quartier est calme et à 5/10 mn à pied du centre Le petit déjeuner (offert le premier jour) est bon mais froid et pas assez copieux. Les produits sont de qualité, salé/sucré. On regrette le coût du stationnement qui ne relève pas de l'hotel.

Located just a 3 minute walk from the Leiden Central Train Station, Golden Tulip Leiden Centre Hotel is the best choice for staying in a very clean and relaxed environment with very polite and helpful personnel at the reception desk. Definitely, I will stay again there next time I visit Leiden and I will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

We had a great stay at the City Hotel Rembrandt. It could not be easier to find, and is only 5 minutes walk from Leiden's main railway station. We arrived before 1200, but where about to check-in nevertheless as our room was already ready. It was a spotless and lovely room on the third floor, complete with balcony (though you did have to dodge the pigeons). Breakfast was in a very pleasant room on the ground floor. A fair selection, though not outstanding (the only warm food available was a boiled egg) and not the greatest value. But that's a small ******. We had a lovely short stay and would certain stay here again.

We stayed in the Deluxe Apartment which lived up to it's title. Very clean , spacious and with high spec fittings including a Villeroy and Bosch Spa bath. The hotel is very special and has lots of character but more importantly the staff are helpful and charming. Leiden is a special city with so may claims to fame. History , beautiful buildings and canals, lovely shops and masses of great places to eat out. We had a lovely Anniversary in this unique city.

Geboekt voor 3 dagen/2 nachten via een aanbieding in de krant. Kamer erg klein en donker: klein raam dat overwoekerd werd door takken van een boom. Omdat Leiden een leuke stad met veel te bekijken, zaterdag al vroeg op pad. Eind ochtend op mobiel door de receptie dat er niet was uitgecheckt en het diner niet was betaald. Uitgelegd dat er voor 2 nachten was geboekt en betaald, en dat op zondag bij het uitchecken de rekening van extra kosten betaald zou worden. Bij terugkomst 's avonds in het hotel moest de sleutel van de kamer omgewisseld worden en was de kamer/badkamer niet schoongemaakt en geen handdoeken verschoond. Uiteraard dit niet geaccepteerd, Kortom: slecht hotel!
