Локация, конечно, великолепная. Пару дней и вечеров с их прекрасными закатами вам точно не захочется никуда уезжать. Потом наверняка возникнет необходимость нормально искупаться. На пляжах при отеле слишком мелко. По крайней мере, так было в апреле. И уже к полудню вода слишком прогревалась и не освежала. Зато на Фридом бич, если отплыть подальше от берега, много рыб и кораллов. Хотя, огромная рыба-попугай и маленькая акула встретились мне и на мели. Правда, учтите, что до нормальной глубины плыть метров 150 над огурцами и ежами, что немного утомительно. Если нужен рай для снорклинга, рекомендую отправиться на пляж Ау Леук. Вот там морское изобилие начинается почти от берега. Причем, справа и слева от пляжа. А по середине отличная зона для купания, с хорошей глубиной и цветом воды круче, чем на Нисси бич на Кипре.
Что касается самого отеля, бунгало уютные, чистые. Без изысков, но все лаконично и современно. Завтраки и кухня в ресторанах нас вполне удовлетворили. Цена у отеля на маленькая, но о потраченных средствах мы не пожалели.
Долго выбирали место на Ко Тао и не ошиблись.
Персонал приветливый, улыбчивый. Даже уже легендарная главная администраторша, прославившаяся своим крутым нравом, встретила и проводила нас радушно. Тут уж, видимо, как повезет.
Из минусов, о которых стоит сказать - мусор на территории отеля, между камнями и в других труднодоступных и не только местах. Плюс не работал душ на Фридом бич. Но местные красоты даже это перекрывают. Закат на Фридом бич - один из самых прекрасных, что я видел в жизни.

Besutiful resort - I enjoyed staying here. Not everything perfect tbh - service levels could be improved (eg communication not by calling the room, etc)
The rooftop infinity pool is amazing. I do not understand how the second best room type is pretty much exactly the same as the more simple type but priced much higher. The only difference is only a sofa.

Удобное расположение - в шаговой доступности прачечная и супермаркеты. Приветливый персонал.
Номер был очень тёмный, одна маленькая лампочк и небольшое тонированное окно. Балкона.укащанн ого в описании номера не было, хотя в отеле есть номера с балконами.
В целом мне понравилось, остановилась бы ещё раз

The island was booked up for the full moon but luckily found the barsay hostel. It's a bit far out but can get a tuk tuk quite easily. The staff were super friendly and so attentive and the rooms were clean and spacious. I recommend staying and renting a scooter to see more of the island.

Only stayed here one night as I was booked the following days at a yoga retreat. It got the job done and is within walking distance of a really nice vegan restaurant.

Definitely best place to stay pn Koh Phangan. Located in the central of Thong Sala. Amazing accomodation, super friendly host and very clean. Will visit again for sure. :)

Beautiful location, lovely beach nearby, party vibe, and a full bar. Bunkbed dormitory style dominant with private rooms that are slightly overpriced. Good option for solo travelers.

Super friendly desk staff. Fairly quiet on busy nights in town. I took the loft style room with a steep stair case to a comfy matress on the floor above the bathroom. It's a smart use of compact space. I moved the mini fridge out of its cubby hole in the stairs to use as a small table in front of the springy fold down couch which faces the TV mounted about half way up the wall. I stayed a few nights and would visit again. The saturated up the mattress might be a challenge for older or alter-baked guests, but otherwise good for the price.

Super relaxte sfeer met lieve mensen die het je naar de zin willen maken. Je kunt er een scooter huren, suppen en al het eten dat je hier kan krijgen is echt super goed! Lieve hondjes op het terrein en een mooi zwembad met infinity pool, uitkijkend op de zee. Wat wil je nog meer?

DDizzzThe Vannee is a 3.5 star hotel but we can’t do half stars here. The hotel lacks details on most ends but overall a decent place to stay. The breakfast was not good for the 2 days of our stay. The true standout aspect of this hotel is the massive pool that expands the length of the grounds. There is a swimup pool bar.

Hot water was hit a miss and outdoor shower was out of order in general items not maintained well
I was allocated a room on the third floor however requested a room downstairs and after quite a bit of time it was allocated - the next day I found out they had a lift, so could not understand why on checking in I wasn't told about it, even when stating my reason for changing room was I didn't want to walk up 3 flights of stairs no mention of lift - this would have saved the drama
I was not impressed at the beginning and the girl at reception was lovely however stated that she couldn't do much as I was uncertain the hotel was clean given the state of the hotel in parts I saw - the lovely girl call the Manager and was told if I wanted a refund to contact Agoda even though my booking was not with them however - the Manager who was on the phone, refused to speak with me a paying customer - any person who runs a hotel in that position should speak with a customer - this quickly told me why the hotel was poorly run with a Manager who couldn't even try and resolve certain issues I had - I wasn't after a refund, infact I asked to pay for an upgrade but there wasn't one available - that was ok but it's not ok for a Manager to treat a customer like she did - very poor example for her staff
The breakfast was nice and if it wasn't for the staff being so nice, it made things nice and hotel was ok

Fff88Bans! Been in and out this place throughout the years since 2015 and kept coming back wether I dive or just having a chill trip in koh tao. Bans, was by far MY FAV for many reasons. Location is great, big resorts, i am in love with pool with cafe (behind the lake) and their outdoor shower + amenities! I enjoy my morning dips, my painting session, my coffee and books afternoon. Just this time round, it was just a tad different feelings and experience. Mostly are still great but theres confusion of the room booked and the actual room itself (i reckon website needs to be updated and clearer details) and a minor incident where I have to pay additional 1 night just because the reception didn’t remember that Ive paid which partly my fault for not asking receipt and or prove of payment. Also, Bans used to be having such a great team member in service but ive came across some that’s quite cold and impatient unfortunately this time round unfortunately. sad 😢 and last thing my room floor were sandy meaning the room cleaning isnt that immaculate. Hopefully, next time I go back “home” this feeling was just such indifference and bans will still be me fav.

PPengguna TetamuBooked a beachfront room and it was exactly as it looks in the pictures. Direct access to the beach via a private ladder. There is a hammock net outside which is great for relaxing, reading a book, or just watching the sunset. The mattress is comfy; the pillows have foam/fibre filling so could be better, and personally I found the duvet unnecessarily warm for a tropical climate which meant I had to turn the aircon up really cold. There is no swimming pool, but who needs one when the sea a step away. Breakfast choices are simple but tasty; the service staff are very friendly and helpful, but I was charged for a coffee refill which I think is unnecessary. The reports about loud music from the Fishbowl Bar are correct. Don’t stay here if you are an early or light sleeper; thumping bass music until 2am every night. However, just remember that there are few places in the world that you can get a beachfront room at such a price (I stayed during the shoulder season so the price/value equation was good for me, so decide accordingly for yourself). Location-wise (part from the loud nightly music) you can’t beat this, a step away from some great upscale restaurants as well as more traditional Thai eateries.

EElena ZorinaHad terrible experience with the old lady who is a hotel owner/manager. Me and a friend of mine booked the hotel for 6 nights, turned up a day later than was supposed to and discovered that she put some other guests in the room. The explanation was that we didn’t notify the hotel that we would be 1 day late. The hotel has a right to do so according to their policies. But the lady’s attitude was horrible, no help was given (we came to the island during so called “Full moon party” time when even the worst hotels sell their rooms for crazy money). It was impossible to find anything at that time and we were tired and desperate after a long trip. So I suppose the greediness was the driving force to resell the room. No prior notification was given to me about the situation. The lady just said “leave” and was refusing to return money (I guess because she would lose the money if she cancelled herself). In the end the police helped us solve the situation and we had to move to another island. “Trip” also gave me quite a bonus for this. I love Thailand and their people but that was the worst experience for the whole trip

- Lonely island feeling far from the world.
It's a must to stay to avoid the crowd of 11am/2pm and have a chunk of paradise for yourself outside those hours. Particularly to avoid the queue to climb the hill.
- Amazing sunset and view from the top of the hill every day.
- The staff was so caring and nice. Particularly mister Tei and miss Been while I became sick the last day.
- Diving center right on your doorstep.
- free shuttle boat to Koh Tao every day if you miss the civilization
- every bungalow have good orientation for the view.
- internet was ok.
- The shower pressure might bother some but it's not a problem under this weather.
It would be better to start to pay attention of the effect of the crowd on the nature to preserve it though. The people coming for 2/3h are so careless(i saw shoes, straw, bottles...even socks! Forgotten)
Maybe best to raise the price of the room and only allow resort resident to enter, to control the flow of people on the island without losing revenue.

FFashion_PotatoAn incredible resort, delicious breakfasts, super friendly and wonderful staff. The lunches and dinners weren't very expensive but they were so delicious! The rooms we stayed in were small pods with beds and a shared bathroom in the middle, but for being in the middle of a jungle the number of bugs was so low inside the rooms. The beds are soft and they give you free water and coffee every day and have refreshments at very fair prices at reception. Amazing snorkeling - you're at a coral reef already! They rent out snorkels , but it would be better if you brought your own. And it's in Tanote Bay, so you can swim out and jump off the rock all you want! Renting a scooter was very simple and inexpensive. The beach isn't very long and it's a Pebble beach so make sure you wear your sandals. But the island is small and boat tours around the island to other beaches aren't expensive.

KKevinGthis hotel isn't worth its price. if you want something comfortable, pick something else.
the good: it is family run so the staff is helpful (late checkout), they speak a bit of english. The room is clean and overall it's acceptable.
the bad:
- i felt a total lack of security. The checkin is at the ground floor, then the rooms start from 1 to 4 floor. all floors are accessible by a staircase which is directly accessible to anyone from the main road. Basically there is no garden/private area, the checkin office and the staircase are simply on the road. There is no staff after 8pm and the hotel is situated a little in the back of the town. So basically anyone can walk up the stairs. Then the door locker is really bad, there is no second security lock (which most hotels have) so this is innaceptable due to the fact that the room door is basically accessible to anyone from outside.
- the shower isn't great, the water is hot all day long (by sun) so no way to take a fresh shower at day. at night or early morning, the water is cold (or have to wait at least 5min to drain the water out)
- the hotel is pretty basic. for the same price you can have a swimming pool in another hotel..

MMartinOverall the hotel was nice but in several point not what we expected: We booked a „villa with sea view“. There was no sea view at the villa that was assigned to us. You couldn’t see the sea neither from within the villa nor from the pool nor from the sun beds nor from the outside bath tub. The only way to see a glimpse of the sea was to stand up on a certain spot on the terrace. That’s not what we expected from a room advertised as „with sea view“ and the (trip.com) booking page also suggested otherwise. When we complained, we got assigned another villa where we could see the sea partly. Thank you for that. However, the manager told us that the photos from the booking page were in fact another villa. But it's not my responsibility to make sure that the photos and pictures provided on booking pages are correct. The hotel has to take care of that! This holds also true for the next issue: The gym was closed due to renovation. In the booking process, they advertised a huge fitness center with lots of machines. Now it’s shut down and we did not get any information about this. The „mini gym“, which does not even have at least one multi exercise machine, is nothing but a bad joke and no replacement at all for a proper gym! Again the staff told us they would inform about this on their website. When I checked that, I still found the photos of the large gym on their own website. It was just called ”mini gym”. But how am I supposed to know what they mean by that and that the provided photos are no longer correct??
