This was the third or fourth stay at this hotel, and for good reason. We came to Miami for a surgical appointment and we stayed at this hotel again because our stay here earlier this year was a very enjoyable experience. This time was no different and it started even before we arrived. I messaged ahead of our arrival and requested a ground floor room because my wife was to have the surgery (which, btw, was successful) and we needed an accessible room. The responding representative (Dan or James?) was most helpful and he agreed to reserve a room for us, and when we arrived we headed straight for that room. Things went simply well with our stay from there onward, from 7 through 15 Sept. Generally, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, assisting us whenever we needed something during our time there, particularly the front desk staff. We noted that all this happened during a fairly difficult time for hotel staff generally because of reported labour/industrial issues at major hotel chains across the USA. In short, we were impressed with the professionalism (and if my wife says it, that's saying a lot!) and we can only encourage the staff to please continue with this attitude and approach; it will keep guests coming to this hotel for a very long time. I booked this place because of all the reviews speaking of its great customer service. But on the day of check in, I politely asked if I could check in just a little bit earlier due to an unforeseen circumstance with my job. The lady at the front desk (Sunday may 8) was extremely rude and dismissive. She didn’t even entertain any options or try to be polite about it, and she didn’t offer to give me a call in case a room opened up a little earlier. When I called back later to inquire if there was something available, she simply said “no” and hung up the phone. So much for good or even decent customer service. This woman needs to be taught how to provide good customer service. It’s not even about not having a room available early. It’s about how dismissive and downright rude her responses were as though she couldn’t even be bothered to care. Absolutely dismal! Stay somewhere with better staff who will care to help in a jam.

La atención fue buena, pero lo malo es que las instalaciones son antiguas. El televisor no es smart y solo puede ver menos de 10 canales y solo en inglés. El desayunó es muy malo ( café, leche, pan, avena y huevos) todos los días lo mismo.

Compendium: Customer oriented staff. Simple and comfortable rooms. Decent amenities. Well maintained. Very short distance to shopping sites. “So, why would you stay all the way out in Homestead, which is sort of like in the middle of nowhere?” That’s what a friend asked me after a few stays at this hotel at the tip of Florida. I informed the individual that this TownePlace was definitely a hidden gem in my eyes. It is definitely a distance from the major cities like Miami, Doral and FLL but it is still a great choice for many reasons. If you are fond of shopping then there is a shopping plaza ~ 5 minutes driving distance, with off-price retail stores like Ross, Marshalls, and TJ Max, and brands like Old Navy, Kohls and the must try ‘Its Fashion’ for fashionista females who might love trendy or urban clothing(I found myself wanting to either pick out some items for friends or just bring them and watch them find multiple beautiful items at a great price.) There isn’t much of a view but there is a Wendys in walking distance, and you can make a quick dash to Publix or Mcdonalds across the street. The front desk staff to the housekeeping and maintenance workers are always friendly, personable, and some staff like Sasha and Maria - definitely my favorite front desk staff and housekeeper, respectively - will always ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need during your stay. Maria would often ask if there is anything I need without being prompted or asked. Their personalities and work ethic are both awesome and perfect for their positions. The hotel also seems to uphold safety and privacy standards rather well as I’ve always observed them asking for identification in a polite manner. Even Jesus, one of the maintenance workers whom I constantly ran into, was very friendly and would greet me with a “hey” and smile even when I wasn’t aware he was nearby. But if you arrive at night you will possibly be greeted by Emory and Elias who are also very likable and amiable. As I’ve stayed at this location a few times, I can say that the rooms are well maintained for a hotel built in 2016. Maintenance ensures the hotel is well kept and preserved. The rooms are simple with no bells and whistles but you’ll feel relaxed and comfortable. The TVs are a decent size, maybe 47', and there is the basic selection of channels . They do come with a full kitchen setup. Utensils are provided. The showers have always felt clean and hot water is always available. The gym is a decent size(maybe borderline spacious) with an adequate selection of equipment. I once grilled at 2am in the morning and was even able to get an oven mitt upon request. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast and it is a decent selection. There is often yogurt, milk, Belgian waffles, cereal, and veggie frittatas. The breakfast staff is very friendly so if you do not see something you like do not hesitate to ask, as I’ve seen about two people ask for something specific and the kitchen

Nice and clean. The only problem was the back door entrance and the unlocking with the key. Wouldn’t work or was on a delay and didn’t signal when it unlocked. Not fun when trying to get bags and luggage in.
