The Hotel Wailea is a superb first class get a way for couples seeking a quiet restful time together. The service is outstanding and the kitchen, in my opinion, gets a gold star. The rooms are all suites with outdoor balconies, kitchen and separate seating area from the bedroom. The location is stellar as the property is away from the beach (but access to the beach is very easy) which provides excellent vistas and a quiter environment.

RE: RES#508982 and 508982. The purpose of this letter is to review our status with Vistana and to offer our review of the treatment we received on our last stay. These bookings were discussed with Vistana Owner Services and were supposed to provide for contiguous rooms. Instead, my family was forced to move on the second day. For two days we were held hostage by South management and could not enjoy our vacation. The attitude was that our bookings were not as important as someone coming into the facility on a rental or exchange basis. Instead of an ocean view deluxe we were placed in rooms overlooking the parking lot in Bldg 3 and the kiddy pool in building 2. As Platinum members we pay maintenance fees on deluxe ocean view and in my last two stays we were in lesser quarters. We have considered that since the take over by Marriott, our status no longer exists. As Platinum members we were able to check in early and check out late. That no longer exists under Marriott. Receiving Platinum status required a significant outlay of money for additional time shares. While we use them extensively, it is money poorly spent when Marriott can change the rules at their sole discretion. In the 19 years we have been coming to Maui we have watched the quality of service and amenities being degraded and benefits removed from our status. Specific areas where the quality of service has been affected. We voiced our complaint to one manager (Sabrina) and she indicated she would handle the situation. Upon checking back with the front desk we were told that Sabrina was not available so we were met by Julie who indicated that she would expedite the cleaning and move to building 2. THEN she was not available and we were serviced by one of the front desk personnel. It took over four hours to get into our new room. The lack of a quality restaurant (Pelihu) also demeans the characterization of a “luxury” resort. Relying on Auntie’s Kitchen and Pailolo for meals is definitely not luxury amenities. Also, your prices have gone out sight for basic food. In our first room, 3313/15, many basic kitchen supplies have been removed leaving empty cupboards. There was no wine bottle opener in the room and we had to go to the bar to get it opened. In 2110 there was no frying pan available and we had to borrow one from 2108. Housekeeping took over 40 minutes to deliver one to 2110. It is doubtful we will ever return to Westin Ka'anapali. It's character has changed from a luxury resort to a Motel 6. Lumeria Maui is our most favorite Hale to stay when we visit Maui. Their upcountry location is perfect for a central location to explore all of Maui. This nature inspired meditative retreat is at the steps of so many things to do, and the entire staff will bode with tremendous suggestion. Candice, Brandi and Char are the most friendly and professional house staff while Preston, Shane, and Kyle provide comfort breakfasts every morning of your stay. You will be very well cared. Please avail yourself to an Energy session with Brooke Howsley on Friday mornings and find a Sarah Rothman Hatha class during your stay for sure. Enjoy!

🌴🌺 Maui Bay Villas - A Tranquil Haven for Unforgettable Sunsets 🌅🏖️ During our October stay at Maui Bay Villas, my teenage son and I were greeted by the breathtaking beauty of Maui's coastline and the promise of a serene tropical retreat. The resort, though currently undergoing construction, managed to provide a peaceful and rejuvenating escape, leaving us enamored with its charm. Sunset enthusiasts, like my son and I, were treated to an unparalleled spectacle each evening. The resort's prime location gifted us with mesmerizing sunset views, painting the skies with vibrant hues of orange and pink, creating an enchanting backdrop against the tranquil waters. Despite the ongoing construction, the tranquility of Maui Bay Villas was preserved. The staff went above and beyond to ensure minimal disturbance, and their amiable demeanor added a welcoming touch to our stay. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with any request greatly enhanced our overall experience. While the ambiance and scenery were exceptional, one aspect that fell a tad short was the limited dining options available on the property. Although the quality of food served was satisfactory, having a wider variety would have added more culinary delight to our stay. Exploring nearby eateries became part of our adventure, allowing us to savor the diverse flavors of Maui. In summary, Maui Bay Villas is a hidden gem offering stunning sunsets, a welcoming beach club, and a serene ambiance despite ongoing construction. The friendly staff contributed to a memorable stay, even though the dining choices on-site were somewhat limited. For those seeking tranquility amidst tropical beauty, this is an idyllic escape worth considering.

This hotel simply was far above what we expected!!! It is in a GREAT location!!! It has easy access to the Kahului Airport and is right across the street from the beach!! The room was roomy, comfortable and more than what we were expecting!! There was a nice patio were we sat and had morning coffee. There is a pool and hot tub as well as laundry facilities on site. Staff was very friendly as well. We could not have expected more. Thank you you the staff of the Kohea Kai Maui for a fabulous stay for our anniversary!!! We will definitely be back!!

We did a sister trip for our birthdays and thru the recommendation of a dear friend we were able to get a room here and we couldn’t have been happier. Everything was amazing from the location which is perfectly centrally located, to the room and most importantly the hosts from Joanna and Kaui to everyone I spoke to at the desk. Working in the industry for 27 years I know good customer service when I feel it … and the host of the Maui Coast Hotel are top notch! My sister and I can’t wait to go back!
