I made a reservation for a room with 2 queen beds 6 months before our visit. I called to confirm this the night before our arrival and was told they had our reservation. When we arrived at the hotel we were given a room with one bed with no explanation other than saying we ran out of rooms with 2 beds. We had a terrible night's sleep sharing a bed, and the next day I asked for compensation (points) to make up for our inconvenience. I was told that because I paid with points, there was nothing they would do. They intimated that if we had paid with cash there might . have been a partial refund. So just a heads up,.... Buyer beware if you need a 2 bedded room. You might not get it. And if you pay with points, you will probably not get any consideration if something goes wrong with your reservation or stay.

We stayed at the Riverview for two nights for a wedding in nearby Bristol, RI. The hotel served our purpose very well. It was obvious that the rooms were recently refurbished and the location was very clean as well. It appears that work is ongoing. The indoor pool (closed) looks like it was just repainted. Additionally, there is a large open space, riverside, with a basketball court, spot for a volleyball net, gazebo, and children's playground. A bit of maintenance and that can be a very valuable asset. No food on site. A few ”grocery store purchased” snacks were in the lobby for breakfast. However Roger's family restaurant less than a mile away was inexpensive and very good. Jillian's tavern shares a parking lot with the hotel. Very nice inside with good looking menu, but we just spent an hour there for a drink. If our schedule had permitted we would definitely have tried a meal. Convenient location right off of I95 so travel to Bristol area and Providence or even Fall River is very convenient. Staff was very attentive and housekeeper even told us on the way out that she would check our room and clear security deposit right away. If you need a nice place to stay, reasonably priced, and want to use it primarily for a roof over your head, this is a great stop. When pool is open or if you have young children for basketball and playground, it's even better.

This is a lovely brand new hotel that would be great if the whole place weren't constantly sprayed with scented chemicals. The super nice lady at the front desk said there are automatic sprayers in the lobby and by the elevators that spray every few minutes or so, and Marriott sends someone around regularly to refill these dispensers. She said these dispensers are not in the room but my room smelled very strongly of this chemical, even more strongly than the hallway (and I requested no service while I stayed there, so it wasn't the maid spraying air freshener). When I left all my clothes smelled of this scent and it took several hours for my nose to not smell the smell. Left me with me Marriott-scented post nasal drip. The hotel was really nice and brand new, so spotlessly clean, the staff was super nice (the mattress was weirdly saggy in spots; I didn't mind though) but it seems like all these Marriott-owned properties are heavily sprayed with this chemical. This hotel, wow a lot of spray.

We are a couple and decided to stay at the HI for 3 nights while we explored the Westport area. We travel a lot internationally and while this is a chain hotel and in a rural area we found it absolutely fantastic. It is the perfect location to explore RI and across to Cape Cod. It’s got great car parking and access to the Interstate. The staff are super friendly and the rooms are very nice, plus great bed, linen and towels. Plus it has a pool and a gym which is great especially to refresh after a big day out exploring. Breakfast is pretty standard but fine and staff very helpful with advice for dinner etc. Highly recommend.

Went with some friends for the weekend for a girls trip and we loved it!! The GM Sophia and Front desk Mandi were super sweet and gave us a few ideas of things to do for the weekend. Our flight got in early and they even checked us in early. The rooms were amazing and felt like I was on a niceeee vacation. Will definitely be back.

Clean and a few great restaurants only 20-30 minutes away. They made sure my deposit was refunded after a reminder.
