Villa Elyane

We stayed 2 nights in 2 rooms - a larger one on the 1st floor (my daughter and I) and one on the 2nd floor (my sister). Both rooms were very spacious, cozy and immaculately clean. The bathrooms are very modern with beautiful tiles and great showers. Our larger room had 2 sinks and a large full sized tub in the center of the room - which we wish we had used (but did not get a chance to soak!), always pressed for time. The smaller upstairs room looked out to the back, and had an exterior balcony with seating. Both rooms also had a mini fridge with some complimentary stocked drinks, and tea/coffee pot. Florence was a wonderful host, and she was on site mid day so we could drop off our bags. The elegant villa is on a quiet street / safe neighborhood only a few blocks from the train station, making it an easy option for those travelling by train. Florence has detailed the fascinating history of the home and its former owners in a book for guests to read. The walk into the old town is an easy, scenic 10-15 minutes. We were greeted each morning with a warm wood fire in a stove in the foyer and a most delicious breakfast, which included home jams, breads, pastries, beignets, cheese, meat, yogurt, granola, and a colorful tray of fresh fruit. The downstairs included spaces for lounging, a pool table, and lots of books to peruse. The garden had new daffodil and crocus blooms. We toured Colmar on Day 1 by foot, then rented a car and toured Chateau Haut- Koenigsbourg, Ribeauville and some smaller towns. Warning to visitors: when we returned from touring the Chateau, we found our rear window had been smashed and my Longchamp bag with some extra clothes and umbrella was taken. (Ughhh, we tried not to let it spoil our time in this wonderful area of France.) Highly recommend a stay here at Villa Elyane!

Villa Elayne was a wonderful stay. The owners were very helpful with bikes that are available to guests and arrival before check-in. Once checked-in access to the home was keyless. The room itself was very well appointed - spacious bathroom with tub, separate shower with multiple jets, a small fridge, coffee maker. There were many amenities on site that we didn't get a chance to use (common area, spa), but we did take good advantage of the bikes available to guests and the owner was very helpful getting us set-up for this. The breakfast was hearty and delicious and the breakfast room very welcoming. It was a short walk from the train, set in a beautiful neighbourhood. The old town wasn't far (15 min walk) and it was nice to escape the old town to a quiet neighbourhood when our day was finished. I would be happy to stay here again.

A stylish villa within an elegant area of the city with great parking facilities and an interesting history all within easy walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. Our room was huge and comfortably furnished with seating area and large bathroom. Lots of extra facilities should you wish to make use of them (pool table, laundry, outside seating areas etc). 5 min walk to train station, giving access to Strasbourg. Colmar proved to be a very convenient location from which to access the Alsace wine route. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It was a great choice for us.

This property was exactly how we expected it to be. So charming, so beautiful and so clean. One thing we didn’t expect though, we didnt expect it to be that spacious and huge which was a pleasant surprise. The room was very well appointed, the bathroom was absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful standing tub, double sinks, and amazing rain shower head with body sprayers jet were such an excellent touch. Florence made our first experience in Colmar delightful. She is very sweet and welcoming. The breakfast was fresh, scrumptious and delicious. We appreciate the fresh local produce served every morning. And the fact that we could use their laundry was a great added bonus. The location was perfect for us. its located in quiet neighborhood and it was an easy beautiful walk to the center of old town. We definitely would love to stay here again if we revisit Colmar in the future. Ps: we arrived late and we were welcomed by an adorable package of Christmas cookies in our room. It was such a thoughtful gesture that we will never forget.

One of the best B&B's I visited in my 45 years of travel. Unique restored Art-Nouveau villa keeping many original design elements. Friendly host caring for the guests in every possible way. Excellent breakfast, free parking on site, located in a quiet area in 10 min walking distance to Colmar city center.

This is a lovely house beautifully furnished and decorated and with an excellent range of facilities. Nothing was too much trouble for Florence and her colleagues. Very nice garden too. Very quiet although close to the station and an easy walk into the historic centre of Colmar.

Lovely property in a great neighborhood. Breakfast was excellent. Florence was charming and very hospitable
